➕➖✖➗ ➕➖ ✖ ➗ A Day in My Life with Mathematics Every day early in the morning, at 5:30am when I wake up, I see my cross and pray. My cross is 34cm in perimeter. After that I go to the 9 washroom. I have to walk 13m to the washroom. Then, I brush my teeth, I use ➕ ➕ 10ml of mouthwash. Then, I go for a morning walk. 1 I walk 500m from home to the park and park to home, ➖ 500m totally 1km. Later, I go for a bath. I use 28 litres of water. The total volume of water is 50 litres of water and the remaining is ➖ 3 22 litres of water. After that I drink 200ml of milk and 2 pieces of bread ✖ with jam. Its size is 7cm × 7cm and the area of the bread is 49cm2. After breakfast I put on my uniform. My uniform is 93cm. When it's quarter past 5 ✖ ➗ ➗ seven, I switch on my computer. My computer is 35cm × 30cm and the total 7 area is 1050sq.cm. My class finishes at 12:30pm. After that I do my ➕ homework and assignments. After a few hours, my mother makes a pizza. The shape is a circle of 360 degree. I cut the pizza into 180 degree ➕ 9 then my brother cuts it into 750. The total balance ➖ of the pizza pieces is 105 degree. A few hours later ➖ 3 I got bored so I made a cake. I used 100ml of milk, ✖ 40g of chocolate, 1.270 kg of flour, 50ml of oil, 700g of sugar and some ✖ 5 cake mix. Then, I baked it, and 1 hour later I got ➗ some delicious cake. My mother cut it into 2/10 ➗ 7 and my brother cut the cake into 3/10 the total ➕ pieces of cake were 5/10. In the evening, we all went shopping. I bought some chocolate for 9 £3.85, my brother bought 60 pencils for £2.60, ➕ ➖ my mother bought a dress for £23.85 and my 3 father bought one key chain for 88p. In total we ✖ spent £31.18. At 10:20pm I went to bed. My bed ➖ 5 is rectangular in shape. The length of my bed is ✖ ➗ 190cm and width is 90cm. So 190cm×90cm 7 =17,100sq.cm .This is how I spent my life with ➗ mathematics. ➕➖✖➗ ➕➖ ✖ ➗ ! Life as I see it ! Mathematics is one of the most important subjects of our life, 9 but according to some of you, Math is just ➕ a bunch of numbers, formulas, calculations, ➕ 1 random signs, a waste of energy etc. which will never be applied in life, right? ➖ But in reality, Math is very important for everyone's future. ➖ 3 Without Math we couldn’t well, do almost anything! Here’s just ✖ a few ways we use Math in our daily life; managing money, ✖ 5 shopping, taking measurements, construction purposes, ➗ exercising, cooking, sports, time, driving, walking, colouring, in a ➗ 7 computer software, even breathing. Oh, stop it, what's the least ➕ that would happen without Math, you ask? Well without Math we couldn’t measure anything, make anything or build 9 anything. There would be no internet, no hospitals, no food ➖ production, or no defense. Without Math there would be no ➕ 3 money, houses or roads. ✖ In fact without Math there wouldn’t be anything. Math is ➖ 5 important every step of our life. Mathematics helps us ➗ understand the world and provides an effective way of ✖ 7 building up mental discipline. It encourages logical reasoning, ➕ critical thinking, creative thinking, abstract thinking, problem ➗ solving ability and even effective communication skills. 9 Mathematics makes our life orderly and prevents chaos. We all ➖ use Mathematics in our everyday life from making coffee to 3 making instant noodles. ✖ So, all I want to say is that Math is very important and I hope ➕ 5 that I have inspired you to love Math as much as I do. ➖ ➗ 7 ✖ Mehak Shaikh Jr 6C ➗ 2 ➕ 4 ➖ 6 ✖ 8 ➗ 0 ➕ 2 ➖ 4 ✖ 6 ➗8

➕➖✖➗ ➕➖ ✖ ➗ Cool Facts about Math ➕ ❖The word “hundred” comes from the old Norse term, “hundrath”, ❖9 which actually means 120 and not 100. ➖ ➕ In a room of 23 people there’s a 50% chance that two people have the ❖1 same birthday. ✖ ➖ Most mathematical symbols weren’t invented until the 16th Century. ❖3 Before that, equations were written in words. ➗ ✖ “Forty” is the only number that is spelt with letters arranged in ❖5 alphabetical order. ➗ ‘Four’ is the only number in the English language that is spelt with the ➕ 7 same number of letters as the number itself. ❖➕ Every odd number has an “e” in it. ➖ ❖9 Zero is not represented in Roman numerals. ❖➖ The word “Mathematics” only appears in one Shakespearean play, ❖3 “The Taming of the Shrew”. ✖ ✖ 2 and 5 are the only prime numbers that end in 2 or 5. ➗ ❖5 If you shuffle a deck of cards properly, it’s more than likely that the ➗ exact order of the cards you get has never been seen before in the 7 whole history of the universe. ➕ ➕ 9 ➖ ➖ 3 ✖ ✖ 5 ➗ ➗ 7 Adrian Vas Jr 3B 2 ➕ 4 ➖ 6 ✖ 8 ➗ 0 ➕ 2 ➖ 4 ✖ 6 ➗8
