v Biography Anood Kurdi is a Saudi – American Graphic Designer and Artist with a talent for thinking outside the box and a passion for working with multiple mediums to create Art. Growing up Anood was always surrounded by different forms of Art and was always excited to try something new and different. Anood was always interested in her native Arabic language where she started focusing on learning more about the Art of Arabic Calligraphy. Anood then chose to study Visual Communication major in Graphic Design at the American University in Dubai where she got thechance to work with many different projects and Art mediums, such as branding, packaging, typography, photography and much more. Till this day Anood still has a passion for Fine Arts and is an artist at heart with a special love and interest in manual and physical work. Now Anood is exploring and working on the relation between manual work and digital graphic design work to produce creative art that is not restricted to one form or medium 04

Abjad Task Create a senior project inspired by the principal guiding idea and theme, Quantum Entanglement, that occurs when a pair or group of particles are generated in a way such that the quantum state of each particle of the pair or group cannot be described in- dependetly of the state of the others. Execution The proposed senior project is a brand called Abjad which will utilize interior accessories and paintaings. The name was chosen as the name of the brand to symbolize the calligraph- ic nature of the project. Therefore, the logo of the brand and calligraphic phrases incorporate in the design of the products were developed in such a way that they consist of a group of latters and characters that act as a single entity and dependent upone one another to present definition. 08

Ebara Task Create a brand that specialize in cus- tomising Arabic and English Graffiti art on shoes and streetwear. Execution Ebara’s misstion is to interduce cus- tomers to a world of artistic express- tions in the form of fashion each prod- uct featuers an Idlomatic expresstion as grafftti in both English and Arabic. Each product also features a range of color changing pigments to compli- ment the graffitied expresstions. The graffiti and evrey aspect involed in the design of the brand has been written and grafted by me. 16

Dubai Food Festival Task Design an A3 poster for a festival hanp- pening in the UAE in 2020. Execution Dubai food festival poster in studio dumbar flat art style with staged photography where it was merged with my graphics and illustration. 26

Lyric Book Task Design an A5 booklet inspired by an art movement. Execution This project includes an eight pages lyric booklet inspired by futuristic art movement. 30

Travis Scott Poster Task The relationship between typography and Genres. Choose an artist and cre- ate an A2 poster inspired by their style and genre of music. Execution Inspired by an autotune dashboard, made up of 52 meters of white thick wires in addition to glow in the dark layers of paint, an A2 poster of the rapper Travis Scott was created on a wooden board. 34

Jazeel Mural Task Create an Arabic Graffiti art on the outdoor wall of the restaurant. Execution A two lines poem was first manually designed by me. With the help of Yara Elzein, the design was finally patented onto a 10 meters by one meter wall. 38

Beauty of The Desert About The desert is an environment that is over looked and its ture beauty is not reslized. The desert provied room to breath. Even the plants give each other some space. When compared with so many of our other spaces these days. the desert sunrise allow for easier es- cape to the natural world. 46

Butterfly Effect About The butterfly symbolism focuses lagely on the represention of out life. In many culture, the butterfly has a deep con- nection with the souls. The butterfly meaning and concept of the symbolism take root from the cycle of the butterfly life. The cycle it- self defines the spiritual meaning of the butterfly and provides a lot of in- sight for us. The butterfly births from an egg and initiates its life in the form of a caterpillar. 50
