DAY 02 MILAN Welcome to Milan, Capital of Italy’s finance and fashion industries. This surprisingly scruffy city offers the best in Italian theatre and clothes. Its origins are believed to be Celtic but it was conquered by Romans in 222BC and became a major trading and transport centre. From the 13th Century, the city flourished under the rules of two powerful families – the Visconti followed by the Storza. Upon arrival, we shall transfer to the hotel for check-in (Standard Check-In Time is at 1500 Hrs. Early check in is subject to room’s availability) and the rest of the day is free at your own leisure. DAY 03 MILAN - SERRAVALLE OUTLET - MILAN (Breakfast / Dinner) This morning, we shall enjoy a shopping spree at the Serravalle Outlet. After lunch, continue to Milan. Upon arrival, our sightseeing in Milan brings us to the Gothic Cathedral and the famous La Scala Opera House. DAY 06 LAUSANNE - BERN - ENGELBERG (Breakfast / Dinner) This morning, we shall travel to the stately capital of Swiss Confederation, Bern – a charming town with arcade shops, carved fountains and towers. We shall start our orientation tour of Bern by starting at the Bear pit of Bern where it was said that Bern was founded. Continue the orientation tour to the Old town of Bern. Built on a narrow hill surrounded on three sides by the river Aare, its compact layout has remained essentially unchanged since its construction during the 12th to the 15th century. The Old City is also home to Switzerland's tallest cathedral as well as other churches, bridges and a large collection of Renaissance fountains. In addition to many historical buildings, the seats of the federal, cantonal and municipal government are also situated in the Old City. After the orientation of Bern, travel to Engelberg, Engelberg (literally ‘Angel Mountain’).The town of Engelberg is appealing because of its distinct and rustic character.The homes left over from the Belle Epoque are also witnesses of that time period. In combination with the pleasant Swiss flair, the special architecture lends the village its very own charm. DAY 07 MOUNT TITLIS - LUCERN - ENGELBERG (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner) This morning, our greatest highlight is to ascend the snow-capped Mt Titlis by cable car for a panoramic view at 10,000 feet from the roof of the Alps. Why not make a snowman or take some breathtaking pictures? Thereafter, we shall have a photo stop at the Lion Monument – a masterful stone sculpture in honour of the heroic Swiss Guards of Louis XVI during the French Revolution. Next, visit the renovated 14th Century covered wooden Chapel Bridge.  (Should Mount Titlis be closed for maintainance or due to adverse weather conditions, we  reserve the right to replace with other program). DAY 08 ENGELBERG - ZURICH (Breakfast / Dinner) After breakfast, we will be traveling to the most expensive city in Switzerland - Zurich. Walking in the Old Town is a rewarding journey of discovery for both visitors and locals. Come face to face with Zürich’s past and present through a selection of buildings, stories and anecdotes. You too will be fascinated by the rich testimonies to bygone days which document the early international significance of the city. Upon arrival, free at own leisure. Today, you will also have the opportunity visit the famous Titisee (Black forest) at your own discretion. Here, you are able to understand and watch a demonstration on the assembly of a Cuckoo Clock and not to forget is to finish the tour of Titisee with the World’s renown Pork knuckle and the Black forest cake.
