Flourish Devotional for May 2022

PSALM CHAPTER 23 For a long time, I felt as if I was always playing catch-up with my peers. I wondered, what did they know that I didn't. What secret did they have for sailing smoothly over all of life's hurdles? I would admonish myself, saying, “When are you going to get it together?” I had so many clocks ticking in my head on every birthday. Over the years, I have met many women like me. Our churches and communities filled with women who dwell on what they do not have. Today is the day to bring peace to your soul. I now understand clearly Psalm 23:2. Too often, we go through life worried that we are missing something.

We need to embrace what we already have. God makes us stop in green pastures because, like sheep, we would not know all is well. The true meaning in life comes from a close walk with God. Peace is the fruit of service. Your life is not on the same timeline set by society. Praise God that our custom-fit cross and crown have been made to order. God's time is always on time.
