ENGLISH-VI-A “READING CAMPAIGN A 100-days Reading Campaign titled 'Padhe Bharat'. was launched by the Union Education Minister, in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020 that lays emphasis on the promotion of joyful reading culture for children. The prime objective of this campaign is to the focus on making reading enjoyable and building a lifelong association with the job of reading. In the view of above , few interesting activities were conducted in the school such as Story reading, Story weaving etc. The students were very enthusiastic for these fun-filled activities. 26

To appreciate the importance of reading and to inculcate the habit of reading among our students, certain activities were organized for classes VI-VIII. DIWALI Diwali is a Hindu festival that is known as the festival of lights. This festival usually lasts for five days and is celebrated during the Hindu month of Kartika. The festival symbolizes the spiritual “victory of light over darkness.” In India, Diwali is also known as Dipawali. The festival teaches us that good always wins over evil and that we must eradicate darkness with light. A festive atmosphere can be seen during Diwali in every Indian household. Everyone is busy cleaning houses, preparing sweets, or lighting up lamps. A religious ceremony usually precedes the celebrations in the evening. Students of Bal Bharati Public School , celebrated the festival with lots of enthusiasm . They participated in various activities such as Diya Making , Lantern Making and Thali Decoration .

CHRISTMAS Christmas was celebrated on 24th December’ 2021 , Friday. A Special Assembly was conducted, and students of Preschool-XII presented different programs related to the festival. A short video on Christmas was shown to the students. Students participated in different craft Activities. In the middle department students prepared various dishes like puddings, cakes etc. to celebrate Christmas. Students wrote thanksgiving messages to express gratitude to their teachers, parents and friends.

Lohri Celebration Lohri is a harvesting festival which is celebrated to mark the change in season .It is very important to make our children understand the importance of these festivals. So in BBPSIP we as facilitators had organized a Virtual Lohri Party for kids to celebrate this auspicious day. Various activities had been organized in the Primary & Montessori department .Students were welcomed with Lohri songs. One video was shown to kids and importance of festival was explained to them. The students dressed up in Punjabi attire and enjoyed a lot some students recite famous boliya of lohri and performed Gidda and Bhangra in front of students. Fun games were organized for students in which they enjoyed a lot.

REPUBLIC DAY “Constitution is not a mere lawyers document, it is a vehicle of Life, and its spirit is always the spirit of Age.\" - B.R. Ambedkar Our school celebrated India's 73rd Republic Day with great éclat. The students took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity. The unfurling of the National Flag filled everyone with a feeling of pride and high spirits. To commemorate this special day, the students of Bal Bharati put forth a cultural programme abounding patriotic fervour. The students, filled with, exuberance and zeal, not only, appreciated the contribution of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar in the formulation of the constitution of our nation but also expressed their heart’s elation through the dance, singing and instrumental presentations and renditions.

BASANT PANCHAMI “Life is to learn. May goddess Saraswati’s divine blessings help all of us to learn and pass life’s tests with ease.” The festival of Basant Panchami is associated with yellow colour, a colour of spirituality as it signifies bright yellow sunshine brilliance of nature and the vibrancy of life. On this day, an art competition was conducted, students wear yellow clothes, pray to the Goddess of Knowledge-Goddess Saraswati and place their pens, pencils and notebooks at her feet to be blessed by her before they start using the stationery items.
