Los Medanos College (LMC) is one of three colleges in the Contra Costa Community College District. LMC prepares students to excel and succeed economically, socially and intellectually in an innovative, engaging and supportive learning environment. It provides quality programs and state-of-the-art facilities to serve the needs of a rapidly growing and changing East County while enhancing the quality of life of the diverse communities it serves. LMC is located on 120 acres between Pittsburg and Antioch, with an additional education center in Brentwood.The Athletics programs consist of Intercollegiate women's soccer, softball and volleyball; men's football and baseball; and men's and women's basketball.GYM DESIGN GROUP – PROJECT SUMMARY

Los Medanos enlisted Gym Design Group, to design its Kinesiology & Athletics Complex (KAC)Facilities Include:Main Fitness Center- Matrix cardio equipment, selectorized weight equipment, weight circuit, squat racks and free weights. TRX Studio Line functional equipment, stability balls, med balls, bands and mats.Athletic Performance Weight Room- Keiser strength/pneumatic training, Atlantis power racks, multi functional training equipment, plyo boxes, free weights and cardio equipmentFitness Studio- Mondo floor, home to KNACT classes including Bootcamp, Cardio Kickboxing, Core, and Keiser Indoor Cycling bikes.Dance Studio- home to KNACT and KNDAN classes including CardioDance, Jazz, yoga, and pilates.Athletic Training Room- cryotherapy, therapeutic ultrasound, whirl-pools and thermal modalities.Team Locker Rooms- for LMC intercollegiate athletic programs.General Locker Rooms- for students enrolled in activity classesGYM DESIGN GROUP – PROJECT SUMMARY
