BOARDS VVVOOOIIICCCEEE OOOFFF TTTHHHEEE BBBOOOAAARRRDDDSSS Greetings to all the Rotaractors! \"The only way that we can live is if we grow; the only way that we can grow is if we change; the only way that we can change is if we learn; the only way that we can learn is if we are exposed; and the only way that we can become exposed is to throw ourselves out into the open”. Throw yourself out in the open and show the world who you are. Many a time we fail to grow because we restrict ourselves to familiar things. Rotaract helped me realize that in order to grow it is important to allow yourself to be open to new things because a step outside your comfort zone might prove to be a step into your miracle zone. The relationship that you have with yourself is the most important relationship that you will have in your lifetime. Don't think that being someone else or being somewhere gives your life more worth because where you are within yourself is much more important than where you are on the map. Consider yourself more, and strive for the stuff you really want rather than what you feel like you should be doing. As a Rotaractor it's my message to all the Rotaractors that open your heart to all the beginnings coming on your way. Take little steps because big changes come from thousand tiny steps and they all matter. So starting today, dive into it and keep swimming until you reach the shore. Keep learning and keep Rotaracting! Regards, Rtr. Rishita Mahak Secretary Elect 2022-2023 04 | THE PRIDORA | November 2022

ARTICLE OUR CHILDREN'S DAY CELEBRATION There will be a drawing competition at 10:30hrs for the kids, we were told the day before. It was fun to watch everyone whose classes began early finish as quickly as possible, just to see the kids think, sketch, and even chatter as they tried to complete the drawing in the limited time. It is always nostalgic to be in the classroom with these kids but this day was special. Perhaps it was Children's Day. The majority of the kids were given the topic \"My superhero\". The topic attracted many drawings of superman, superwoman, Krish, ironman, spiderman, etc. The kids worked together to finish their drawing. I remember a pair of girls working on their respective pieces of Superwoman's drawing. One person proposed coloring the drawing, while another offered to do the borders. This resulted in prizes for both of them. This was a shining example of \"together we achieve more\". Later, a cake was cut to celebrate today's event. Rotaractors enjoyed the presence of children and had fun playing with them during a short amount of break. After the break, the coordinators pitched the idea of playing the game called \"passing the parcel\". One of the balloons we used to decorate the classroom became our parcel. It was fun to observe children interacting with the balloon whenever it reached their hands. To continue the game we had to give them another balloon to play with. Their eyes shone with every bounce of the balloon. It was certain that each of their pristine orbs contained a multiverse. The Rotaractors, as well as the children, received a variety of tasks as time progressed. The dares ranged from doing a monkey dance to touching every object of a certain color. It wasn't easy to find a partner to do the monkey dance with. Even the kids were shy about doing it. Though, it was a fun activity to watch Rotaractors spin the wheels of time and laugh freely. Certainly, it was a day to cherish, as well as a memorable bonding time among the members. Everyone returned home smiling a little more than usual. Rtr. POEM GRATITUDE TO THE TEACHER The sorrows deep within my heart In search of some peace of mind You mirrored me the path crystal clear Then no more was I blind Though I'm very bad at expressing gratitude But your presence in my life prospers my soul The light of consciousness you showed me within my heart I hold Do you Remember those events that troubled me somehow I understand there was nothing to be afraid of Instead, I should be proud Traced my uniqueness You discovered those loop-holes Those tiny aspects of life No one ever told Indeed teachers are the best Creation Created by the nature In every phase of a student's life They leave their mighty signature If ever there be the talk around The best teachers till date To you, I'm confessing today This poetry shall end the debate Name Nikhil Jalan nikhil_jalan_ 10 | THE PRIDORA | November 2022

Reminiscing Moments Greetings to all the Rotaractors! I just wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your support and friendship over the year. Being a member of the club has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life and I am grateful to be a part of such an amazing community and I am proud of it. I want to thank the leader for their vision and commitment towards making it such a special place, especially the boards and my seniors. Now I would like to take you all back to memory lane with me where we went on a trip to Goa Searic summit, Goa 2022. It was the month of September and on 12th September we bordered the train for Vasco da Gama the time of departure was 9:05 p.m. Rotaractors of our club and all the seniors assembled at the railway station at the decided time and the train arrived at the station. The departure time of the train was 9:15 p.m. It was 9:15 p.m. the train honked and started arriving slowly but the interesting fact was one of my fellow Rotaractors Rtr. Jai Gaba was late as usual he boarded the running train, we all thought that he had missed his train but I was really happy to see my friend at the last moment. The train journey was of two nights and 2 days and the date of arrival was 14th September between 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. onward but that horrible train was delayed by almost 12 hours and we reach the station (Vasco da Gama) at 12:54 a.m. exactly. On the advice of my senior, we booked our ticket for sleeper class which was the worst decision and also a good decision due to which we enjoyed it a lot. All the people whose tickets were wait listed, RAC, and not confirmed also boarded the train we were very uncomfortable because of them as we didn't have the habit of traveling like this. During the journey, I enjoyed a lot with my seniors and my fellow Rotaractors on the second day I had to handover some items to one of my relatives who stays at Gondia junction which was a part of our route, and also I had to collect some refreshment items from them for us. The scheduled time to reach Gondia was early morning 9:30 a.m. but the Train was delayed by 7 hours and I felt very bad for how long my Relative had to wait. 12 | THE PRIDORA |November 2022
Reminiscing Moments The journey continued we all enjoyed ourselves a lot on the train. When we reached Goa I was the first to step down from the train. We had already booked our hotel when we reached the hotel we found that the rooms we had booked were already allotted to someone else now I started looking for some other hotel with my seniors and my fellow Rotaractors Rtr. Shashank at approx 4:00 a.m. in the morning. At last, we found a hotel which suited our requirements and we all shifted there. I was so tired that in the morning when all my friends had gone to Baga beach I was sleeping in the room. Then in the evening, we enjoyed ourselves in our room by singing and dancing with each other. At night, we, boys, went to the most unnoticed place of Goa and enjoyed ourselves a lot till 4 in the morning, in between I met many district officials of our DISTRICT RID 3250 and made a good connection with them. The next morning, that is 16th we had to leave for the Marina Dourada Resort when we all reach the resort we found that the resort was overcrowded by Rotaractors not only from all over India but also from other countries like Nepal, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, etc. Now it was time for the allotment of the room everyone in my club was allotted a room in the same building but I was the only one who was allotted a room away from my friends. I thought my experience of this searic had been ruined but here comes the twist the room was allotted solely to Me And there I enjoyed it a lot and had fun with my Friends. I was out of my room throughout, attending the events. On the first day of searic, we had to represent our DISTRICT 3250 Bihar and Jharkhand through a cultural dance performance my whole team was ready but unfortunately our performance got postponed to the next day. That night we visited Romeo lane a very famous nightclub in Goa and there I had a great time with all Rotaractors and made new friends. On the 17th i.e Second day we represented our district through our dance performance and attended a special seminar that was arranged for us. At night I and my buddy Rtr. Shashank enjoyed with the Rotaractors of the other district by dancing and singing with them, the whole night. On 18, i.e., the last day we clicked group photos with Rotaractors of our district and as well as of other districts as a token of memory, and that day I realized that one cannot bring Ideas just by sitting in a room but by connecting with people it can be achieved. With this, I would like to conclude this episode of my life which was so memorable and I think I will never ever forget it. Thank you, readers. Rtr.
