DLC - MESSAGE Rtr. Ekta Dear Rotaractors, Greetings to you!!! It is a matter of great pleasure to write something for our rotaractors, who are not only great members but also great leaders. Hope you all are doing great work and wonderful projects in your club. Apart from these wishes, I want to tell you that you all are not common people just like others, you have that power which can change any difficulty into an opportunity. So, don’t let the opportunities go, recognize and grab them and see what changes you bring in the society. And, this can only be done by the teamwork – where members are many but goal is only one. Just as the five fingers of the hand are not same, all the members in a club cannot be the same. They have various opinions, ideas, knowledge etc. But when these ideas or knowledge come together, it leads to success. And it is rightly said that – talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships. Remember rotaractors you have that potential which not only leads the club to a new height but also enhances your personality. Your way of talking, thinking, analysing power and many more. At last, I want to say that --- if your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. BOARDS Greetings Everyone! Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened. (~Anatole France) The relationship between humans & animals has been in existence since time immemorial. We’ve been using them excessively for our entertainment, food, medicine, livelihood, scientific advancement & of course as exotic pets. But in return what have we offered them? We’ve made them subjected to some of the hostile cruelties & malicious torturing. Maybe this is because we humans are the toppers of the evolutionary ladder, which eventually made us consider ourselves to be the master of the rest of the living beings, who’re of course less complex than us. We’ve been ignoring the fact that each & every creature has its role in the origin & preservation of the ecosystem. Each of them has all the rights to live as you & me. Can you imagine your life without animals? Maybe instantaneously you’ll say ‘yes’, but trust me, we really can’t exist without them. Our beholden for animals is undeniable. Without them, we’d be bereft of a lot of essential human experiences. Okay now let’s come to the matter-of-fact, as we’re Rotaractors, we believe in groundworks. Let’s ask ourselves, what can we do? How can we contribute our bit? BE KIND ! to every living being & ask people around you for the same (kindness costs you nothing, but the impact it leaves is worthful enough). Little deeds of kindness like feeding stray animals, arranging shelters for them, keeping water & food for birds, helping the injured ones, etc can make a significant difference.
