As part of our school tradition, we intend to provide a myriad of opportunities and a platform for the participants to demonstrate their talent. The valedictory function will be held as per the following details : Date – 21st August 2021 Time – 11:00 AM via Virtual Meeting Details regarding the rules and regulations for various categories of competition are appended (The Events will be held on various dates as mentioned in the Annexure attached). GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS  We shall be conducting the event through a digital platform.  All registrations must be done by 5 PM on or before 5th August 2021.  Only one team per event per school is allowed.  A student can participate in one event only.  Each event will have I, II & III positions. All participants will be awarded with E- Certificates.  Decision of the judges will be final and binding.  Each participant can register through his / her school only. Direct entries will not be entertained.  In case of any change in the list of participants, the schools must intimate the host school two days prior to the event. 3

 Kindly make the submission of files (.mp4, .jpg, .pptx etc) in the following format : School Name_____ Event Name __________ Participant's First Name _______Class__. ARGHYA 2021 “Music is to the soul, What words are to the mind.” Late Pt. Devabrata Chaudhari The Interschool Cultural Fest is one of the most celebrated annual events in the School Calendar. Arghya aims to provide every child with an opportunity to experience the inspiration and rich cultural mysticism embodied in Indian Art Forms through varied competitions covering a range of musical genres. The Rolling Trophy of Arghya was instituted in the year 2002 by the Internationally renowned Sitarist Padma Shri Awardee, Pandit Devabrata Chaudhuri in memory of his Guru Ustad Mushtak Ali Khan Ji of Senia Gharana. Pandit Debu Ji was an eminent exponent of Indian Classical Music and dedicated his life to the promotion of Indian Art and Culture. This year, Arghya – 21 is being especially dedicated to Pt. Debu Ji as our loving tribute to India’s most versatile musician who left us for his heavenly abode. We pledge to carry forward his rich legacy and celebrate music as a Universal Language. 2

1. SOLO FOLK SONG Eligible Classes: VI – VIII Number of participants: 1 Time limit: 2 to 3 minutes GENERAL RULES:  Participant will have to make a clear video of singing any selected Indian Folk Song.  Video should not exceed the given time limit.  The participant may wear any appropriate dress as per the song.  Songs from films are not allowed.  Participant may perform with Karaoke or any one Musical Instrument.  Video should be shot in landscape mode and should be recorded in one frame without any cuts.  No accompanist is permitted while singing.  Date of submission – 10th August by 8:00 P.M.  Decision of the judges will be final and binding.  The video entry should be submitted as google drive link with unrestricted public access. 3

SOLO CLASSICAL DANCE Eligible Classes : 9-12 Time Limit: 4-5 minutes GENERAL RULES  Participants will have to make a clear video of any one selected Indian Classical dance.  Video should not exceed the given time limit.  Editing of video is not allowed.  Songs from films are not allowed.  Dress code shall be as follows: 1. Participants may wear- long kurta with salwar / Churidar or traditional costume of the dance. 2. Hair should be neatly tied up 3. E-NOVATORS 2021 Annual Techfest Change @ Thought

E-NOVATORS E-novators is one of the most active clubs of the school which comprises of a team of passionate and organized youths who are interested in learning about the advanced technology of the 21st century. The objective of the Computer Club is to widen the perspective of e-novatarians in Information Technology and allow them to get hands-on experience with media. Members get to expand their horizon by learning different multimedia skills using existing software such as App making, Coding, Adobe Flash, Game Maker, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Music mixing, and constantly trying out new programs. By using various softwares, e-novatarians become more tech-savvy and efficient which is definitely the need of the hour. Every year this club organizes a series of IT events which allow students to unleash their inner creative self. 2

3. MIND THE GRAPH Eligible Classes: IV - V Teams per school: 1 Participants per team: 1 Topic: Is Vaccination the only solution to end pandemic? GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS  Participants have to create an image-based summary of the given topic.  An infographic is designed to quickly and comprehensively communicate key facts using stats, graphs and more data- representing options.  The infographic should communicate how vaccine is useful in saving mankind from pandemic, what is the vaccination rate all over the world, where India stands in the list, what do we know about it, how do we control pandemic apart from vaccination, what you have discovered about it.  The infographic should be designed to be easily understood by a wide range of audiences and which depicts how to overcome pandemic.  The final image should be of dimensions 1000 X 1200 pixel (10'-12.5') of format png, jpg or pdf.  The image could be made using MS Word, MS Excel or MS PowerPoint. 6

4. WEAVE A TALE Eligible Class: VI Teams per school: 1 Participants per team: 1 Topic: Going back To School GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS  Participants should create a short story on going back to school after the school reopens after the pandemic. The participant has to use their imagination to weave out a story, how would it feel going back to school in the post covid era.  Participants should use Scratch Programming software for the same.  The scratch project has to be of 2 to 2.5 min.  It should have relevant music/sound effects.  Audio files, Image files along with the scratch file (sb3 format) should be uploaded in a Google Drive Folder with name of the school.  Participants need to submit the link of that Google drive Folder on the Google Form https://forms.gle/xGXJ4tBrsd69A9wq6 latest by 10th August, 2021. 8

Usage of which will lead to disqualification.  The website should be hosted using any free server like Netlify, Get forge etc.  The URL of the website should be submitted by 10th August, 2021 by 8:00pm in the Google form link: https://forms.gle/xGXJ4tBrsd69A9wq6  Top 10 selected teams will have to present their website in front of the judges on 13th August, 2021 for which meeting link will be shared one day in advance.  Plagiarism of any kind is unacceptable and will lead to disqualification. 10

LIGHTS CAMERA ACTION Eligible Classes: IX – XII No. of Teams: 1 Participants per team: 2 Topic: A short horror film GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:  Duration of the video should be between 3 to 4 minutes.  It should stick to the given topic .  The video should be uploaded on the participant’s YouTube channel as an unlisted video.  The YouTube URL should be submitted by 10th August, 2021 by 8:00 pm on the following Google form link https://forms.gle/xGXJ4tBrsd69A9wq6  Its title should be the name of the film and the description should contain: o Name of school o Topic of video o Name of the participants and their classes. 12

HUNGER TO BE BETTER Eligible Classes: IX-XII No. of Participants: 1 GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:  The event will be held in 2 rounds.  The first round will take place on 10th August, 2021 on zoom platform. The participants would be asked to speak on the topic given on the spot.  Top 6 participants will be selected for the final round (Group Discussion).  The final round would be conducted on 13th August, 2021 using Zoom. The participants are strictly advised to join the meeting with their name in format name_schoolname. Also, the participant would have to turn on their video when it would be their turn to speak. INTELLIGENCE AUGUMENTÉE Eligible Classes: IV – V Number of participants: 1 Time limit: 2 minutes GENERAL RULES: • Participant will have to give an oral presentation on advancement in the field of science and technology. • The child has to dress up wearing the prop of any scientific invention that has made life more comfortable and easy for us. For example: Drone , Alexa, Home Appliances, Satellite, Gene Therapy and 3D Printed Organs etc. • Students will speak few lines about: o The discoverer of the scientific device chosen by them for the presentation. o Principle behind its working o Working of the device chosen by them o Its utility in real life. o Other points can also be added. 2

Unleash your creativity, Campaign Crafter gives you an opportunity to discover the ad-maker in you and design an ad to showcase your marketing skills and the hidden talent. What are you waiting for? Start rolling out your ideas and shoot and capture in a 2-3mins campaign. Eligible Classes: IX-X GENERAL RULES • Only one team of maximum three members is allowed from each school. • The participants will have to produce and record an advertisement for a product/ service in a proper way which is quite appealing to the audience. • The advertisement should be in English language. • The ad prepared by the participants must not contain any obscene words or any subject that hurts the feelings of a culture/language/religion/region. • Disobedience of rules may lead to disqualification. • The decision of the judges would be final and binding. • The participating school would be required to mail the video at [email protected] of the campaign on 10th August latest by 8:00 pm. 6

4. CROSS ROADS Eligible Classes – XI-XII (Students of commerce/humanities/ science with economics can participate) This event has got two rounds: Round 1: (10th August 2021- 4 to 5 pm) 1. Team of two students can participate from each school (one of them will be the team leader) 2. A case study will be given to every team leader. They have to coordinate with the other participant and give answer in a google form within an hour. 3. A judging panel will evaluate the responses on the basis of the analytical and creative perspective, content clarity etc. 4. Best 5 responses would be selected for Round 2. Round 2: 1. The qualified teams would be given an entrepreneurial issue/ problem solving assignment for which they have to provide the solution, which will be presented in google meet. 2. 1 hour preparation time would be given to the participants before the online meeting. 3. The team leader will be allotted 5 minutes to present his/her viewpoint. 4. The judges can cross-question any of the team member.
