THE END New ways to communicate . Some have to self-isolate. Many expressing their views, Although they've not seen the news. Stockpiling made the shelves empty No toilet roll, rice or linguini. Food banks running out of stock, In shops, people run amuck. Prime minister speaks to us daily Nothing's clear, all sounds like maybe. The weather outside is so fine, Stay inside, stay home, or be fined. Case numbers rise every day Will it ever go away? A cough, fever, short of breath could result in your untimely death. It is easy to focus on all that is bad, The worry, loneliness, what we could have had. Look a bit harder and you will see people not mentioned on the BBC. Retired NHS staff returning to work, Getting paid but there are no other perks. Communities helping, coming together. It's doubtful this spirit will last forever. Key workers out risking their lives, and lives of their parents, husbands, wives. Yet some people don't like to follow rules They socialise, touch, any law they refuse. Try to stay upbeat, or at least pretend. Take up a hobby with all your time to spend. This year has been hard to comprehend. We are all just waiting for The End. By : Varsha Thombare 65
