HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY NIGERIA ANNOUNCEMENTS,REMINDERS & UPCOMING EVENTS PUBLIC HOLIDAY The Federal Government has declared Friday 1st of October, 2021 as a public holiday. This is in order to celebrate Nigeria's Independence day at 61. Normal activities will resume on Monday 4th of October, 2021.

TODDLER PEBBLES This week in Mathematics, we learnt how to count numbers from 1-5 using objects, and we also learnt to identify 2D shapes. In expressive Arts and Design, we enjoyed making the letter sound /s/ collage. In Physical development, This week we explored fine motor skills by using our hands to cut out paper into pieces. PLAYGROUP MARBLE This week in Expressive Art and design, we are learning to sing a song titled \"In and Out the Dusky Blue Shells\". To build our pencil grip, we cut through paper with scissors. In Literacy, we are reinforcing letter sounds /s/ /a/ and we also introduced letter sounds /t/ and /i/. In Mathematics, we are learning to count numbers from 1-10 and we also identified numbers according to our abilities.

NURSERY CUDDLES This week in Communication and Language, We read a book titled \"Elmer the patchwork Elephant\" we enjoyed role playing the story. In Understanding the World, we discussed colours, patterns, similarities in weather. In physical Development, we enjoyed playing a game called Mrs. Rainbow says. In Literacy, We learnt about letter sounds /n/ /p/ /c/ /k/ and /e/. The children had fun identifying these letter sounds and they also identified the letter sounds in words. RECEPTION SPARKLE This week In Literacy, we recapped Jolly Phonics level 2 sounds; /ck/ /e/ /h/ /r/ /m/ /d/ we introduced level 3 sounds; /g/ /o/ /u/ /l/ /f/ /d/and used sand tray to trace them out with the proper formation. In Mathematics, We explored numbers and wrote them down according to our abilities. In communication and Language, we read a book titled \"Water transportation\" and we learnt new words from the story book, we also role- played the story using our own words. While in Physical Social and Emotional Development, The children are learning how to build relationship and how to take turns during task.

How To Apply Good Manners!! Manner 1 When asking for something, say \"Please\" Manner 2 When receiving something. say \"Thank you\" Manner 3 If you do need to get somebody's attention right away, the phrase \"Excuse me\" is the most polite way for you to enter the conversation. Manner 4 Be appreciative and say \"Thank you\" for any gift you receive. Manner 5 If you bump into somebody, Immediately say \"Excuse me\" / \" I'm sorry\".

How To Apply Good Manners!! Manner 6 Do not interrupt grown-ups who are speaking with each other unless there is an emergency. They will notice you and respond when they are finished talking. Manner 7 When you have any doubt about doing something, ask permission first it can save you from many hours of grief later. Manner 8 When you have spent time at your friend's house remember to thank his or her parents for having you over and for the good time you had. Manner 9 Knock on closed doors...and wait to see if there's a response before entering.
