The aforesaid is done in context to the macro-economic environment and include factors such as relative exchange rates of key markets, inflationary growth in key markets and industry socio-economic production areas of the South African Raisin Industry. The raisin industry plays an important part in the rural areas of South Africa, as a critical economic activity to unlock employment, earning of income and general economic activity through direct, indirect and induced economic linkages. It presents the latest validated data on market size, availability for consumption of domestic production, exports and imports and also provides some key industry insight.
