13 2 THEATRE AQUATICS Fun with Me Ages 6 months to 5 The goals of Parent and Child Aquatics are to provide information that allows the parent to help the child learn techniques to be comfortable and safe in and around the water, develop a readiness for learning to swim, and to learn safety fundamentals. Parent and child participate in several guided practice sessions that help children learn elementary skills, including water entry, bubble blowing, front kicking, back floating, underwater exploration and more. The class is taught in the rec pool. Children age 3 and above will be given a recommendation by the instructor at the conclusion of the classes for placement in the next session. Children must wear swim diapers to each class if not potty trained.
