Oasis Du Soleil is located near the entrance of Sprouts Edible creepers anchor themselves into the lat- Hub. The name Oasis Du Soleil means an oasis from tice structure to form a natural canopy, providing the sun. In this aspect, our concept was informed by shade to protect guests from the harsh overhead studying a series of shadow and site analysis from sunlight. Steel scaffolding seats are arranged in which we drew our inspiration. The bamboo cano- a curve that follows the pavilion just beneath the py was planned as a communal space that has the structure, with planters for herbs and crates as dual function of a cooking workshop, with the addi- modular seating slotted in. Bamboo was chosen tion of a small budding garden at the back. It is built as the main material as it is renewable and light, from several bamboo poles that are bent, shaping which makes it an ideal construction material that the poles to create a canopy that arches gently over- is both sustainable and easy to build with. head. Thin strips of bamboo form a lattice network spanning the length of the construct.

CONCEPT THE BEHAVIOURAL ECOLOGY OF CLIMBING PLANTS Solar radiation directly influences photosynthetic activity of the plant in general. Morphological and physiological adapta- tions tend to take place in response to variation in solar radia- tion in order to maintain maximum photosynthetic efficiency of the leaves. Mint plants generally grow well under full sunlight.
