••• After years of experimentation, Regal Tip intro- duced the Drum Corps 2000 series, taking marching mallets to a new level of endurance and design with their weather proof line bass drum and multi -tom mallets. The heads of the revolutionary bass drum mallets are made of an advanced composite material that will continue to work if the head gets wet, unlike traditional felt heads. This new material is strong, durable and rebounds as well, if not better, than felt. Also new are the wood or vinyl grip multi -tom mallets with a disk- shaped nylon head. Regal Tip utilizes its patented fastening system to attach the heads to the mallet handles. Completing the line is Regal Tip's new 230R 17\" marching stick, available in wood or nylon tip. Drum Corps 2000 represents a quantum leap in marching percussion - the latest in a tradition of innovation. l30NT 670N 676MH Nylon Grip 2\" ~~~ 671W Wood Grip \"MARCHING INTO THE NEXT MILLENNIUM\" For \".l 'tradition ot InnoTation\" Catalog, call: 1-716-285-3546 or 1-800-358-4590; e-mail: [email protected]; or write: J.D. Through the years, Drum Corps International audiences have enjoyed exhibition performances by many fine organizations including Senior Corps, Alumni Corps, Professional drum and bugle corps, such as the Marine Drum & Bugle Corps, and International organizations from Europe and Japan. Today International drum and bugle corps and Summer Youth Bands have become an integral part of many early- season drum corps shows, particularly in the DCI Pacific Division. Currently, Drum Corps International is planning expansion of its annual World Championships event to include specific divisions for Summer Youth Band participants as well as international marching music organizations whose instrumentation and membership requirements may vary from the standard DCI model.
