First day of School The new Academic year for KG 2 began on 15th April 2020. This year was different than previ- ous years. Due to the current situation the world is facing be- cause of the Covid-19 pandemic, taking into account the safety of our precious children the School has started virtual learning for the little ones. The first e-learning session took place on 15th April 2020. On their first day 'Back to School' the children joined in with curious faces, enthusiastic about this new way of learning. It was very endearing to see these little ones with their faces aglow with excitement, waiting for their turn to speak. Teachers planned a lot of fun activities to make this transition easier for them. Our parents who are the backbone of our success went a long way in making this session successful. 1

CIRCLE TIME No kinder gar ten session is complete without a Circle time. Each day starts with Circle time for KG2. Here teachers spend some time in prayer and meditation with the children. There are some warm up activities to get the children ready for learning that has been planned for the day.

EARTH DAY With all the chaos that is going on in the world due to the covid 19 pandemic, our KG2 children took time to celebrate Earth day on 22nd April. All the children were dressed in green colour outfits honoring our Mother Nature. Teachers spoke to the children about how they could con- tribute in making our Planet a better place to live in. The theme for the day was 'Go green'. The celebrations started with the children singing Earth is my home song. There was a presentation on Earth day and why it's cele- brated, done by the class teacher. A lot of emphasis was placed on the 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Children made various drawing and crafts that were a reflection of the things taught to them. Parents posted the pictures of these drawings and crafts on Class Dojo.

Show and Tell We were able to conduct show and tell for KG2 students on 30th April through the virtual medium. The themw for Show and Tell was 'My Favourite toy' It was an amazing experience. All the children were so excited to bring their 'Favourite Toy' to class. Each child spoke 5 sentences about his/her favourite toy. There was so much of excitement in the air and the teach- ers could feel it through the virtual medium. Children with their faces alight with joy as they talked about their Favourite toy. Show and tell for KG2 was a grand suc- cess. 9
