National Maths & Arithmetic competition (NMAC) National Maths & Arithmetic competition (NMAC) is designed to enhance School Mathematical Education as well as Arithmetic Education which is organised by Walnut excellence education. Around 2000 schools all over India participated in this competition. ROUND 1 - FREE NMAC SELECTION ROUND ROUND 2 - NMAC PERFORMANCE ROUND ROUND 3 - NMAC TALENT SHOWCASE ROUND It is a proud moment for Mahatma Gandhi Mission Primary and Secondary School to declare that Mst. Saras Sachin Pagare (Class II) was awarded Bronze medal and a Certificate for his commendable performance Ms.Sreya Varak (Class II) Ms. Sameepta Chormale (Class III) Ms.Sanika Varak, Mst. Amol Pukale and Ms.Sanjiti Kadam (Class VI) were awarded participation certificates.

READ AND GROW NATIONAL READING DAY / DIGITAL READING MONTH JUNE 19nd, 2021 ‘’ A writer only begins a book .A reader finishes it. ‘’ Opening and Closing Ceremony of 25th Reading Day/Digital Reading month conducted on 19th June, 2021 to 26th July, 2021 National Reading Day 2021 is celebrated across the country on 19th June; 2021.The day is celebrated in honour of Father of India’s Library Movement, lateShri. P.N. Panicker. Stressing on the importance of reading, Late Shri. P.N.Panicker was largely responsible for the cultural movement in the state of Kerala and also emphasized on the improvement of reading abilities. Mahatma Gandhi Mission Primary and Secondary School (English Medium) celebrated Reading Day / Digital Reading month from 19th June to 26th July, 2021, with the underlying theme as “Read and Grow”. A special programme was organised virtually to celebrate the Opening and Closing ceremony of the Reading Month. Principal Marked the opening Ceremony. In her message, she inspired all the students to inculcate the habit of reading as it increases knowledge, builds vocabulary, improves memory, and develops critical thinking. Librarian, Mrs Anagha Karpe briefed students about the various interesting activities like making bookmarks on slogans, reading autobiographies of favourite authors, T- shirt painting on characters to be made. She instructed each student about scrap book decoration, its index page, phrases, and idioms to be written in it. Drawings related to the stories to be drawn. Pledge was read by Mrs. Pooja Singh followed by teachers and students. In the Closing Ceremony, beautiful activities of students were shown via PowerPoint Presentation. Videos made by students on the autobiographies of their favourite author were also shown. Sharanjit Kaur, Aitri Majumdar, Dronika Sawant shared their experiences about the activities done by them. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Pooja Singh. Efforts of students, teachers and parents were appreciated by Vice Principal, Mr.Avinash Malunjkar

SPELLING BEE CONTEST JULY 22nd, 2021 ‘‘Study hard and see the Magic” Spelling bee is a competition in which contestants are asked to spell a broad selection of words, usually with a varying degree of difficulty. To compete, contestants must memorize the spellings of words as written in dictionaries. Mahatma Gandhi Mission Primary and Secondary School (English Medium) organised a Spelling Bee competition for classes III to VIII on 22nd July, 2021. GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATION July 24th, 2021 ‘’ When there is a ray of light of your blessings and teachings, there will be no darkness in my life!’’ Guru Purnima is a tradition dedicated to all the spiritual and academic Gurus, who are evolved or enlightened humans, ready to share their wisdom, based on Karma Yoga. This festival is traditionally observed to honour one's chosen spiritual teacher or leader. It is observed on the full moon day (Purnima) in the Hindu month of Aashaadha. It is also known as Vyasa Purnima for it marks the birthday of Veda Vyasa, the sage who authored the Mahabharata and compiled the Vedas. Guru Purnima Card making competition was organised for classes 1st to 5th and Essay writing competition was organised for classes 6th to 12th July, 2021 on the digital platform. Students wholeheartedly and actively participated in the competition and showing their love, Compassion and gratitude towards their Gurus.

Independence DAY CELEBRATION AUGUST 15th, 2021 ‘’ No caste can divide us, no laws can separate us, no colours or creeds can decide our future because we are the children of one mother.’’ The theme of Independence Day, 2021 was ' Nation First, Always First ‘. This was to honour the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and the glorious path laid down for generations by them. India celebrated ' Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', marking the 75th year of Independence on 15th August 2021. Signifying the importance of this special day we conducted various competitions on 13th August 2021. Std.I to V Drawing competition, Topic -\" My Pride my India\". Std. VI to IX Poster Making Competition, Topic-\" Salute to the Real heroes”

RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION AUGUST 21st, 2021 ‘’ Raksha Bandhan is not just about rakhi, roli and mithai… it’s also about the unique bond between a brother and a sister.’’ Raksha means safety and bandhan means bond. Raksha Bandhan or Rakhi is an important Hindu festival, dedicated to brothers and sisters. On this auspicious day, sisters tie a thread on her brother's wrist and pray for his long and prosperous life. In return, the brother gives a token of love to his loving sister. We celebrated Raksha bandhan by organising \"Rakhi making competition”. Students made beautiful and creative rakhis for their siblings and even tied it on their wrist after completing their Rakhi. They understood the importance of Raksha bandhan festival which is a true bond of love between brothers and sisters.



Sanskrit Day CELEBRATION AUGUST 26th, 2021 ‘’ On this World Sanskrit Day, let us spread awareness about the language & celebrate India’s rich culture.’’ World Sanskrit Day falls on the full moon day in the month of Shravan as per Hindu calendar. It was celebrated for the first time in the year 1969. The celebration started with a devotional prayer song sung by our student Ms. Bhoomika Koli. A Sanskrit song was sung by our students Ms. Siddhi and Mahek Meena which was followed by a beautiful dance performance by Ms. Hima Mennangal. A PowerPoint Presentation on Sanskrit language was presented by Ms. Siddhi Meena. Mr. Bharat Mane, our Sanskrit Teacher introduced the esteemed Chief Guest Dr.Swarg Kumar Mishra, who told us about the importance of Sanskrit language in today's life. A highly informative speech was given by our Principal. Winners of Shloka recitation, Drawing, Slogan writing competition etc. were announced by Mr. Bharat Mane.Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Sukhwant Kaur. Programme ended by singing The National Anthem.It was truly an amazing and wonderful event.



Ganesh Chaturthi celebration SEPTEMBER 9th, 2021 ‘’ Obstacle remover ALMIGHTY.’’ Ganesh Chaturthi also known as Vinayak Chaturthi is one of the most important festivals of Hindus. The festival is dedicated to Lord Ganesha who is the son of Goddess Parvati and Lord Shiva, the God of wisdom, success, and good luck. We organized different activities for students on 9th September, 2021. Students from (Class I to VI) made Eco- friendly Ganesha idols from clay, leaves, mud etc. Students of (Class VII to IX) made a PowerPoint Presentation on \"Pollution free Ganesh Chaturthi festival Celebration\". Students genuinely enjoyed these activities by showing their creativity. They learnt to keep our environment safe by making eco-friendly Ganpati idols and by celebrating pollution free Ganesh Chaturthi festival.



Teachers’ day celebraTion SEPTEMBER 5th, 2021 ‘’ Good teachers don’t impact for a year but for a lifetime.’’ A good teacher is like a candle. It consumes itself to light the way for their students. 5th September, the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated as Teachers’ day to express gratitude towards their beloved teachers who not only impart knowledge from books but also teach lessons of life. Various competitions like Essay, Paragraph, and Poem writing, Poem Recital, Drawing were organised wherein all students enthusiastically participated. With these small little expressions they could show their sincere love and affection towards their teachers. Dr. Sabita Ram (Director Research at MGMIHS) conducted a special workshop for teachers. Our Chief Guest. Dr. Ram highlighted the virtues and values that together make a PERFECT TEACHER. There was a special informative session conducted for teachers on ‘’Awareness Programme on Preventive Measures to be taken for students in Dental Trauma’’. As a token of love, special surprise gifts were home delivered for all teachers.



Hindi Diwas SEPTEMBER 14th, 2021 ‘’ Hum sab ka AbhimaanHai Hindi, Bharat ki ShaanHaiHindi .’’ Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14 September every year. Hindi was adopted as one of the official languages of India on 14th September, 1949 by the Constituent Assembly. Our students Mahek Meena and Siddhi Meena anchored the event with the help of puppets. A devotional prayer song was sung by music teacher Mrs. Yogyata Mishra. A melodious song on Hindi diwas was sung by Ardhya Surve and Swara Yadav, our Jr.kg students. A song based on Varnamala was sung by Shreyas Patel and Bhumika Yadav of Jr. Kg. A welcome song was sung by Harsh Kadam of (Class I). Followed various competitions: ● Slogan writing competition ( Class II & III ) ● Dramatization ( Class IV & V ) ● Antakshari ( Class VI & VII ) ● Debate -\"Importance of Hindi language\" ( Class VIII & IX )



National Sports DAY AUGUST 29th, 2021 ‘’ The harder the battle, the sweeter the victory’’ National Sports Day was celebrated on 29th August 2021, marking the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, who was the star of Hockey Team of India. We organised an Inter class carrom competition on occasion of National Sports day. Winners of this Inter class carrom competition were Vibhas Waghmare, Yash Kumbhar and Mayuresh Sonawane.

Our Students Workshop / Seminars Workshop for students of STD XI was conducted by Edusat IIRS Dehradun, on the Topic: \"Remote sensing - an overview & Image Interpretation\" on 26th July, 2021, via Online mode. Our students Babai Ruidas, Yash Yadav, Harsh Dighe, Oorja Gawde & Neelam Sahani enthusiastically participated in the same.

Workshop by TERI - The Energy and Resource Institute workshop was conducted on the PROJECT - NCSTC - DIST & TERI, promoting Science & Health Communication through Outreach & Capacity Building of School Students & Linked Communities on 29th July 2021 for students of class VII to class XII. Our students are presently working on their projects. A 'Comic Strip’ Competition on Covid-19 Pandemic, organised by TERI. Our students Aayush Pujari, Bhumika Koli, Manish Amin actively participated in the competition and presented their works.



GRAPHIC DESIGN WITH CANVA & VIDEO CREATION TOOLS WORKSHOP FOR STUDENTS - The session was short but highly informative and immensely helpful for our students.They thoroughly enjoyed it.This also helped them to understand how to use technology in creative way.

Knowledge sharing workshop Knowledge sharing workshop was conducted in the Month of July in which teachers shared their ideas and even introduced different ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE tools and its applications which can be used for better understanding of concepts to make the classroom more lively and interesting for the students thereby making them ready for the future. She has been throughout a very well informed teacher about CBSE circulars and simultaneously taken timely and most importantly accurate decisions in Board Result Calculations, Student Registration & Admission procedures. Being a role model, she has provided the most relevant latest knowledge by sharing YouTube, video recordings of expert’s etc links to students. Innovative teaching practices adopted by her are well-known to all of us as well. An educator who readily and happily extends help to not only school teaching staff but also has played the main lead role as a point of contact to solve various Board queries among neighboring schools.
