AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS PHENOMENAL VICTORY IN CBSE ZONAL SWIMMING COMPETITION \"Dive deep then only you can hit it hard.\" The marvelous & meritorious swimmers of Delhi Public School, Udaipur have bagged laurels with their stupendous performance in the CBSE West Zone Swimming Competition. The school team has secured its place for the national competition in the under 17 & 19 age category (girls/boys). This competition was organized by the CBSE at NRI Global School, Bhopal from December 18-22, 2022 in which school students Tejender Choudhary, Echica Ramsnehi and Utsavi Dave participated in various event and won 2 gold, 5 silver & 3 bronze medals for the school in the said championship. *Eshica Ramsnehi* of 11th standard in the U-19 age category won 2 gold in 50 m. Breast stroke & 100m. Breast stroke, Silver medal in 200 m. Breast stroke and Bronze in 50 m. freestyle event. *Tejender Chowdhary* of class 12, in the U-19 age category, has won 3 silver medals in 50 m. breast stroke, 100m. breast stroke and 50 m. Butterfly event. In the U-17 age category, *Utsavi Dave* of class 9 in the school, has won Silver medal in 100 m. Backstroke and Bronze in 200m. Backstroke & 800m free style event. The participants of both the categories have already started preparing for the national competition to be held in January. The PVC Mr. Govind Agarwal, the School Principal, Mr. Sanjay Narvaria, Vice Principal Ms.Shalini Singh and HM Mr.Rajesh Dhabhai sent their blessings to the children for this wonderful performance at the zonal level and for securing a place at the national level. RAJASTHAN SUB JUNIOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP (GIRLS) Our student, Anandini Nagda (class XI science) adds another feather to DPS cap by winning Title and Gold in Rajasthan Sub Junior State Championship Girl's Doubles' U-17 category held at Jaipur from 6th January to 10th January, 2022. Previously, she bagged a bronze medal in Rajasthan Senior State Championship U-19 Girls doubles' category held at Bikaner in August 2022. She has been selected under the same category, to represent Rajasthan state for the National Badminton Championship to be held at Bhubaneswar from 25 December, 2022. BEST TEACHER AWARD TO BIOLOGY FACULTY On the occasion of World Tourism Day, on 17th December 22 IIHM, Jaipur organised an online felicitation ceremony of educators across the country. Mr. Zurab Pololikashbille, Secretary General UNWTO expressed gratitude to the teachers for their commendable contribution to the society during the time of pandemic. Various dignitaries enlightened the participants and appreciated their efforts. Ms. Seema Ahad PGT biology from DPS Udaipur was felicitated with the' Best Teacher' award in the said ceremony. KHYATI JAIN BAGS LAURELS AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL Dipsite of class 4 , Khyati Jain has earned the title of runner up in the under-10 age group of the national level Tennis tournament organized by AITA. The tournament was held from December 24-26 at Shishya Tennis Academy, Ahmedabad, Gujarat in which Khyati Jain won quarterfinal with 8-1 beating Vedanshi of Chhattisgarh with 4-3,1-4,4-2 score in the semi-finals. The School Principal,Mr. Sanjay Narvaria, Vice Principal Ms.Shalini Singh and Headmaster Mr. Rajesh Dhabhai and the teaching staff congratulated Khyati jain on this achievement. DPS BAGGED LAURELS IN THE FLOWER SHOW DPS Udaipur always puts its best food forward for community service programs. It actively participated in the flower exhibition organised at Pratap Gaurav Kendra, Udaipur in order to sensitize the masses about 'Nature Conservation'. The beautiful display of flowering and ornamental plants by the school was highly appreciated by all the visitors and the eminent dignitaries who witnessed the said exhibition.The school bagged the second position in this competition cum show which gave the message of adopting a chemical free lifestyle for saving the planet. 2 | Page
VICTORY IN STATE LEVEL BADMINTON The Under 19 team of DPS Udaipur bagged the third position in the 66th State level Badminton tournament in the individual events. Dipsite Kunal Choudhary grabbed a gold medal and Moulik Raj Sonwal won the silver medal by getting the second position. In the under 17 category Lakshya Chawat won the bronze medal. All the three sports prodigies have been able to get their names registered for participation in the National level Badminton Tournament. EVENTS & ACTIVITIES RENDEZVOUS 2022: ALUMINI MEET AT DPS UDAIPUR Success of any school can be measured by the contribution it's alumni make to the national life. It was a proud moment for DPS Udaipur to welcome its alumni (session 2011-12 to 2021-22) on 25th December 2022 amidst Christmas celebration in the school premises. The second alumni meet, Rendezvous 2022 commenced at 11:00 a.m. with the lighting of the lamp by the representative alumni with the principal of the school, Mr. Sanjay Narvaria. Around 250 alumni participated in the programme. All the former students were heartily welcomed by the Principal and the teachers. The programme included games and cultural events organised by the current batch of class XI. A friendly basketball match was also organised on this day in which alumni form their teams on the spot. The major attraction was photo corner where they were seen clicking snapshots to capture those moments. The most captivating moment of the programme was alumni sharing their experiences and reliving their school days. The open dance invitation mesmerized all and they enjoyed on the foot tapping numbers. They showed keen interest in visiting the Carnival for the mouth relishing delicacies and the game stalls. The vote of thanks was proposed by the programme convener Mr Vinay Tiwari and all dispersed with brimming heart and cherished memories looking forward to such you reunion the next year. 3 | Page
CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL With the jingle of the bells resonating, hum of the carols in the wind, the ‘ho-ho’ of Santa and gifts and glee everywhere- Christmas is an exciting affair at Delhi Public School, Udaipur that brings a bagful of surprises for everyone including children and adults. With the Christmas Carnival fever all around, the Dipsites make it “A December to Remember” as they put on their Santa caps, hang those mistletoes and gear up for a celebration of happiness & love. To spread the message of love and good cheer, on the occasion of the world’s most loved and celebrated festival Christmas, a mega carnival was organized by Delhi Public School, Udaipur on December 25, 2022. The carnival was graced by the presence of Mr. Chanchal Mishra, District Legal Service Authority and Mr. O. P. Bunkar, Additional District Collector. Following the traditions all across the globe, the welcome greetings were done in a peppy sing-song manner. The Christmas Carnival was open to all those who were willing to spend a memorable day with their loved ones, celebrating a day of love, sharing and giving. It was a perfect destination for everyone to rekindle their bonds with so many exciting activities, lip-smacking food and non-stop foot tapping music! The whole atmosphere was painted by Christmas decorations, eye-catching performances, food stalls and thematic interiors. Caught in the whirl of fun and excitement, the visitors and the students at the Carnival enjoyed the unlimited sprawl of exciting games, competitions, complemented by attention-grabbing food stalls. The children sang melodiously and it sounded as if angels truly descended on earth. As true to every celebration, there were dance performances to which the children danced to perfection enthralling the audience with their rhythm and perfect coordination. SANSKRIT SHLOK COMPETITION- (CLASSES VI TO VIII) An Inter-House Sanskrit Shlok Competition based on the shlok from “The Bhagvad Geeta” was held for classes VI to VIII on 22nd December’22 in school premises.Overall, 12 students from all houses recited sanskrit shlokas very melodiously. The Principal, Mr Sanjay Narvaria presented the memento the , Ms. Nishtha Agarwal and welcomed her. The school’s Sanskrit Club Director, Miss. Lavanya Mittal recited a sanskrit poem very mesmerisingly and students of class VIII also presented a melodious sanskrit group song. Krithika Jain and Chaheti Jain got the 1st position, Kushagra Sharma 2nd and Avni Bansal & Chirayu Mittal bagged the 3rd position in the competition. Ms. Nishtha Agarwal addressed the students and spoke about the importance of our ancient culture and civilisation laid down in our scripture, “The Bhagvad Gita”. She also enlightened the students how selfless Karma is the most important in our life and this only opens doors to success. CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION Christmas is all about laughter, joy of giving, sharing and coming together with family and friends. To make Christmas celebration memorable class Nursery conducted special assembly. Pre primary section wore a festive look with bells, streamers and beautifully decorated eminence. Children gave fantastic performance with their parents to live up the Christmas feel. Students sang Christmas Carol, presented dances and played games. All the children of pre primary did various craft activities. Children gave several splendid performances to make this day memorable. 6 | Page
INTRA CLASS PHONIC SOUND COMPETITION \"Reading is a key part of every child's development , a child who enjoys reading and writing have better mental well being then those who don't \". Phonic is a language instruction method, which enables child to understand forms of letters and their sounds .Phonic helps children to sound out and read words independently. To evaluate their reading skills and understanding an 'Intra Class Phonic Sound Competition' was conducted at pre primary section of Delhi Public School , Udaipur. Students identified single sounds , actions , flash cards and came up with vocabulary words . They were prompt in exhibiting their identification skills . IMPORTANCE OF ENERGY CONSERVATION A class assembly was conducted by IIC on the topic \"Importance of energy Conservation \"on 13th December22 . National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year on 14th December in order to spread awareness about Energy Conservation. The students were acknowledged about the importance of the day. The assembly began with the VANDE MATRAM followed by the prayer. Pledge, thought, word of the day, speech and poem in hindi and english on the topic was presented by the students. Assembly was addressed by Vice Principal Mrs. Shalini Singh. It was concluded with the vote of thanks and the National Anthem. EDU EXPO - 2022 Dipsites got an excellent opportunity of showcasing their aptitude and talent by the way of a mega exhibition Edu Expo organised by the school on 10th December 2022 in the school premises. More than 800 students participated in the Science (Eureka) Mathematics (Mathsketeers), Social Science (Renaissance) and Art and Craft (Aesthetic ) exhibition by presenting models and projects made by them. It was open to all the parents to witness, who highly appreciated the students' hard work, creativity and the confident way of explaining their exhibits. The exhibition was 7 | Page
highly successful in instilling values of perseverance, perfection and precision in students. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES We believe that every right implies a responsibility, every opportunity an obligation and every possession a duty. An assembly on the theme ‘Duties and Responsibilities’ was conducted by the students of class ll B on Tuesday, 6 December 2022. The Assembly began with the National song Vande Mataram followed by the school prayer, pledge, word and thought of the day, news, Hindi and English speech, skit, poems. Assembly was addressed by the Vice-Principal Mrs. Shalini Singh. She also felicitated the best performers of Intra class shlok uchharan competition. INTER HOUSE AD ENACTMENT AD MAD Show was organised in the school as an opportunity to bring out the talent of the students, and to provide them with a platform to explore their creativity and work on their stage presence. The purpose of the competition was to equip the students with the knowledge of Ad- making and it's execution in front of a live audience. Participants were supposed to present an Ad that had the essentials of a good Advertisement, i.e. clarity, originality, thought provoking, creativity, appeal, and simplicity. Students from all the sections of classes I- V participated with complete brilliance and expertise. It was an Group competition where the students picked up topics like toiletries, food, social issues, fashion and mobile phones to present an advertisement. The entire audience was stunned to see these little kids perform with such confidence and precision. This activity not only acquainted the children with understanding of promotional strategies used in marketing, but also enhanced their creativity and presentation skills. Children got an opportunity to brush-up their speech delivery and understand the importance of Advertisement in spreading awareness to masses. A GOAL WITHOUT A PLAN IS JUST A WISH A plan is the backbone of a goal. Without a plan, your goal loses its spine and becomes nothing more than a wish. A assembly on the topic \"A Goal Without a Plan is Just A Wish\" was conducted by class 2A students on 29-11-22. The students were acknowledged about the importance of a well planned goal to achieve success in their lives. The assembly began with the National Song Vandemataram followed by Prayer, Pledge, Thought &Word of the day, News, Poems and a motivational song. Vice Principal Ms. Shalini Singh addressed the students and motivated them by her words of wisdom. The assembly was concluded with the National Anthem. 9 | Page
INTRA CLASS HINDI READING COMPETITION This line very well suits the kids of Delhi Public School Udaipur. A school, where reading is not presented to children as a chore or a duty , rather it is presented as a gift. Following this an 'Intra Class Hindi Reading Competition' was organised by the pre primary section where kids got a platform to show case their reading skills .Naming it as a competition was just to encourage children to work hard ,but the actual aim of the event was to make reading a fun activity so as to bring the kids closer to books. SCHOLASTIC INITIATIVES PRACTICAL EXPOSURE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP PROJECT 45 ENTREPRENEURSHIP students of class XI,under the guidance of their subject mentor,Ms Kajal Khilwani had hands-on experience by the way of field visit to GOOD- DOT,a vegan eatery.They got to learn the real life challenges and opportunities of today’s businesses. Students visited the factory premises in batches and also had an amazing interactive session with the co-founder in order to get an insight into a start-up. Children relished the Good Dot products served to them and were thrilled to get a ‘goody-packet’as a gift. It was really an interesting and enriching practical experience for Entrepreneurship students. Class X AND XII PRE-BOARD Class X and XII pre-board exams were held in the month of December’22 that helped the students to know and analyse their present preparation and the improvements needed further. boards are a way and a chance to prepare them well in advance and to boost their morale so they can face the board exams with all confidence and belief in themselves PRACTICAL EXPOSURE GIVEN TO PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS A visit to MB hospital ,Udaipur was conducted on 31st December 2022 for the class 12 psychology students of DPS Udaipur in order to give them a practical exposure of various psychotic disorders. Under the guidance of their mentor Ms. Anu Singh,the students got an opportunity to learn about several disorders such as bipolar disorder, shizophrenia, multiple substance abuse, etc. The visit was supervised by Dr Suresh Gochar HOD of psychiatric department( MB hospital )who invited the students with valuable information. It was a great learning experience for the students. IMPACTFUL LEARNING Projects and practical activities help in enhancing learning outcome and knowledge retention. A project based on research, apart from bookish knowledge was given to class 11 students in subject English wherein the students made a research on any1 product, advertisement or tourist destination. The work of all students was displayed in the form of exhibition so that they learn more from witnessing the endeavours of their classmates. 11 | Page
BEST WISHES TO STUDENTS APPEARING FOR BOARDS Motivation plays a significant role in enhancing the academic performance of the students of class 10th and 12th for the forthcoming board examinations .A motivational cum counselling session was conducted by the School Principal, Mr.Sanjay Narvaria for the students of class 10th and 12thon 14 th December me 2022.The students were apprised about the importance of time management and were guided on how to plan a strategy for their academic preparation to score well in the board examinations .He gave tips for attempting the pre board and board exams and told students to analyse their shortcomings and improve them . PARIKSHA PE CHARCHA And online creative writing competition was held on various themes for teachers, students and parents as part of Pariksha pe Charcha (PPC) which is an interactive programme with the honorable prime minister of India. The event was organised through mygov.in Many teachers and more than 50 students of the school participated in this event and received their e- certificate on successful submission of their opinion and ideas on topics like Our Heritage, Save Environment for Future, Our Culture, Our Pride etc. Relevant questions were also shared with hope that those will be selected for interactive program scheduled in January 2023. The principal congratulated all the participants and teachers of English for taking this initiative. COMMUNITY SERVICES INSTILLING PATRIOTISM 7th Dec is celebrated as ARMED FORCES FLAG DAY every year. Taking inspiration from the national flag our soldiers guards our borders day and night. As a tradition for the welfare of the dependents of martyrs/ those who got handicapped during warfare/ widow and the dependents of ex service men ,there is a tradition of contributing fund on this occasion.The students purchased one sticker each in order to contribute for a noble cause. This was a significant way of instilling patriotism in students. OATH -TAKING FOR WATER CONSERVATION BY BHARTIYA JAIN SANGATHAN AT DPS UDAIPUR The oath-taking ceremony by BJS( Bhartiya Jain Sangathan) for water conservation was conducted in the sprawling campus of DPS Udaipur on 17th December 2022. The students welcomed the rally with a warm welcome song.The School ProVice Chairman Shri Govind Agarwal welcomed and felicitated the eminent dignitaries, Central Minister Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Central Rural Development & Panchayati Raj Minister Shri Kapil Patil,Speaker of Rajasthan legislative assembly Dr. C P Joshi and Opposition leader in Rajasthan Shri Gulab Chand Kataria by presenting the souvenirs. The School Principal, Mr. Sanjay Narvaria averred that more than 3000 volunteers from all over the country participated in the said conference. The rally witnessed the MOU for water conservation in approximately 100 districts by BJS in association with Government of India. BJS has been in the forefront of addressing national concerns in the areas of disaster response, social development and educational initiatives and has demonstrated the power of executing projects and many uphill tasks with speed and scale.A number of representatives and industrialists participated and volunteered to make this initiative a grand success.
