["DISTRICT ROLLER SKATING CHAMPIONSHIP The constant efforts of Himansh Devpura, Kavish Soni and Mehr Soni were rewarded in the Udaipur District Roller Skating Championship 2022-23. Himansh Devpura won 2 gold medals in 500\/1000 mtr races. Kavish Soni bagged 2 bronze medals and Mehr Soni got 1 bronze medal in 1000 metre race. STATE LEVEL SWIMMING CHAMPION Getting boosted by a series of spectacular win and medals received, Eshica Ramsnehi, Delhi Public School student of class 11 Science gathered a bounty of rewards and medals in the state level swimming competition. Seminars and workshops provide an opportunity to interact with the experts in the specialized field. A Fashion Workshop is where students, teachers and researchers work with an experimental approach to fashion and the development of the clothing. Considering all the aspects, a Fashion Workshop was organised in the DPS, Udaipur campus for the students of class 11th and 12th by the department of Fashion Studies. The piece of work which was chosen for the workshop was \\\"Banjara Art\\\". The purpose of workshop was to enhance the creativity, creative embroidery effect on fabric with less time. The details of CA & ACCA courses and their benefits were discussed. ENHANCING CREATIVITY & ENTREPRENEURSHIP An initiative has been taken to provide a platform to the students to showcase their talents and gain a grip of public speaking. In order to teach our students the art of advertising, \u2018Making a Commercial\u2019 activity was organised for class VII, where 60 students enthusiastically participated and showed their creativity by marketing their self-made products and brands. It was altogether a diverse experience for them where they learned the art of public speaking and thinking out of the box. Through this activity everyone witnessed some of the budding entrepreneurs of the future. DIALOGUE- DELIVERY COMPETITION To mark the birth and the death anniversary of one of the greatest playwrights of English Literature - William Shakespeare, a Dialogue- Delivery Competition was organised for the students of Class VIII. We witnessed many characters of Shakespeare come live on stage. It is the feeling of love, devotion, and sense of attachment to one's country. This attachment can be a combination of many different feelings, language relating to one's own homeland, including ethnic, cultural, political or historical aspects. To inculcate the same feeling of patriotism in the students, patriotic group song was to be conducted by all the schools and colleges. The venue was decorated with bunny masks and posters depicting the impact of pink colour in our lives. All participated in a variety of hands on activities related to the identification of pink colour. The aim of pink day celebration was to reinforce the concept of colour in children. 122","EDUCATIONAL FIELD TRIP TO BIOLOGICAL PARK Children of Pre primary classes visited Biological Park on Wednesday 14th 2022 as a part of educational field trip. Children were thrilled to see so many wild animals and different kinds of plants. It was a learning experience for the children. GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated as the birthday of lord Ganesha, the symbol of wisdom and remover of obstacles. The occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi students chanted shlokas, shared amazing facts about Ganesh Chaturthi and presented a group dance. Mothers also showcased their talents and did various acts. They did devotional solo and group dances. Children of classes Nursery and Prep did craft activities like decorating lord Ganesha\u2019s face and creating Lord Ganesha from green leaves. The atmosphere was filled with devotion and students were beaming with joy. 123","INTRA CLASS ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION To spread the fragrance of poetry amongst the students of pre primary an' Intra Class English Recitation Competition ' was organised in the school. Our cute little poets enjoyed the beauty of expression, thought, feeling, rhyme and the music of the words. The purpose of conducting such Competitions is to build self-confidence, develop oratory skills and self-expressions. INTRA CLASS TERRACOTTA PAINTING COMPETITION Intra class Terracotta Painting competition was held for the students of Class I to V. The objective of this competition was to bring out the creative expressions & artistic skills of the students. Children painted colourful diyas, pots, piggi bank, hanging bells & Lanterns. The children showcased their creative skills in Painting and colouring and the result was amazing art work. This fun filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic participation by all students EDUCATIONAL TRIP To gain awareness about birds and to evoke love and affection towards them, an outing was organized by DPS school, for Grade VI students, on Thursday, 1st September 2022, to *Gulab Bagh Bird Sanctuary. * Children had a gala time watching the different species of birds. After enjoying their refreshment they boarded the school buses and returned back to school. 124","TEACHERS' DAY EXTRAVAGANZA It was a matter of great pride and celebration in Delhi Public School Udaipur when the members of newly elected Students' Council welcomed and startled the teachers with their wonderful preparations for the day despite having a holiday in the school. Right from welcoming the teachers with tilak and presenting rose buds, the various cultural programs presented by the students were mesmerising. Be it speech, poem, skit or dance every programme was the manifesto of the fact how much students get influenced by their teachers in the course of their school life. REFRESHING BREAK FOR SENIOR STUDENTS Picnics provide students with liveliness against dreary & monotonous daily routines.In order to help the students recreate and cherish joyous memories for a lifetime, DPS Udaipur had organised a picnic to Aaram Bagh for class 11 and 12 students on 1st September, 2022.The students thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing and rejuvenating outing with their teachers. 125","INTER DPS QUIZ The inter DPS quiz is a significant competition conducted by the DPS Society every year. The preliminary round for junior group and senior group of the quiz was conducted on 2nd September 2022 for the interested students. Selection of the participants was done on the basis of marks obtained and personal interview. Finally, two students from junior group Ayeesha Bhagla and Yana Jain are selected. And for the senior group, Nuh Chakkiwala and Rajat Taya have been selected. The first round of quiz will be conducted on 4th of November 2022. BOARDERS' VISIT TO PAINTING EXHIBITION Visits to exhibitions serve as good learning experience and trigger positive thought process and creativity in students. The school boarding house students visited a drawing and painting exhibition put up by students of Kendriya Vidyalaya. The interjectors made the discussion healthy and interesting by putting valuable questions to the speakers. 126","BOARDERS' RECREATIONAL DAY -OUT The most awaited outing for the boarding house students was the picnic organised for them on 6th September 2022. They started at 8.30 am in the morning after saying their prayer and with a feeling of a great day ahead. The students were extremely excited and kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue. A delicious breakfast was followed by a tour of the resort wherein the students were excited and shook their legs to the thumping dance numbers which were played near the pool. They even created a few crazy steps and the teachers too joined the fun. All the students expressed a desire to revisit the place again. Indeed, it was a day full of gaiety and mirth for all the boarding house students. THE DISTRICT CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP 2022 (SENIORS) The grand and enthralling event of Udaipur District Senior Chess Championship started on 19th and culminated on 21st October 2022. The top 4 winners in girls' category are Dakshata Kumawat, Advika Sarupriya, Vihana Kothari and Charvi Patidar while in boys category Vrishank Chauhan, Parshva Parmar, Ayush Bhojak and Pranay Chordia were adjudged winners. The championship was conducted at Delhi Public School Udaipur. 127","NAVRATRI AND DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION To spread joy and happiness, Delhi Public School, Udaipur celebrated Navratri and Dussehra by chanting mantras, singing bhajans, performing garba on 1st October, 2022. The celebration started by seeking the blessing of goddess Durga. All the students were dressed in traditional clothes. They performed a skit to depict the victory of good over evil. To enhance the fun mothers performed a group dance. The program concluded with burning of effigy of Ravan, which symbolized the power of good above all powers. The event was a learning experience about our rich Indian culture and values for the little ones. CONTRIBUTION IN WORLD RECORD DPS Udaipur students participated in the mass event of Sarva Dharma Prarthana Sabha on the occasion of Vishwa Ahimsa Diwas on 2nd October 2022. The students very enthusiastically gave the contribution in the record making by involving themselves in the prayer service. The school received the certificate for being a part of this record making, initiated by the government of Rajasthan, India. 128","ASSEMBLIES PROMOTING CONSTITUITION VALUES To honour the man who gave India its constitution, the students of Grade VI- A, conducted the first offline assembly after 2 years of pandemic, on 15th April 2022. It was to pay tribute to the great personality Dr B. R. Ambedkar. This day is celebrated to promote Constitution values among citizens. In order to mark this day children very energetically participated in the session. The assembly began with the prayer, thoughtful quotes, followed by inspiring speech. The students very enthusiastically narrated English & Hindi poems. CELEBRATING WORLD HERITAGE DAY An Assembly was conducted by the students of class V A on the theme World Heritage Day on 19th April 2022. The assembly started with Vande Mataram and prayer followed by the pledge and inspiring thought and current updates around the world. Some of the students stole the show by showing glimpses of India's rich heritage. The slogans highlighted the importance of the day. All the students were administered an oath to conserve our rich heritage. EARTH DAY CELEBRATION An assembly was conducted on 22nd April, 2022 by the students of grade VI B to inculcate the importance of *EARTH DAY*. It began with the prayer, thoughtful quotes, and important news going around the world, followed by inspiring speech. The kids very enthusiastically narrated English and Hindi poems. 129","LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION An assembly was conducted on 29th April, 2022 by the students of *grade VI E* to inculcate the importance of *LABOUR DAY*. Children depicted different roles of labours showing their importance in our lives. Children of grade VI had made thank you cards, to show their gratitude, which were given by our honorable Principal Sir, Headmaster Sir and children of class VI E to the 4th grade staff school. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF FAMILIES To mark International Day of Families an assembly was conducted by class V - C students in which children were given an opportunity to express their feelings about their family. KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS Kargil Vijay Diwas special assembly was conducted on 26th July to honour the brave soldiers of the Indian army who selflessly laid down their lives to safeguard India\u2019s borders. Students shared their thoughts and feelings through speech, patriotic song and a dance performance. Their every word paid a rich tribute to the fallen heroes and the sacrifices made by them. 130","HARDWORK FOR SUCCESS The students of class V-E organised an assembly on the topic \\\"Hardwork For Success \\\" which was honoured by Padmashree awardee Shree Shyam Sunder Paliwal ji. The Assembly delivered a strong message that how hard work plays a Vital Role in getting success and concluded with inspirational and motivational words of Shri Paliwal ji , Chairman sir and Principal Sir. The Assembly was undoubtedly a result of immense efforts of students which ended with delivering of vote of thanks to everyone present there. Alumni Rahul was also felicitated in the assembly with financial aid to study abroad under student exchange programme. JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION On Tuesday, 16th of August 2022, the students of Delhi Public School of class IV - C conducted special assembly on Janmashtami. A splendidly colorful program was organized by the children, where students presented songs, speeches, dance performances and a short role play. News,Speech, Poem and Slogans were presented by students of class IV D. 131","HEROES OF THE FREEDOM A patriotic vibe was set amongst Dipsites on the rainy morning of 12th August, when class VIII A conducted an assembly highlighting the Unsung Heroes of the Freedom Struggle. A devotional prayer was sung seeking blessings from the Almighty, which was followed by rendition of songs Vande Mataram and Sare Jahan Se Acha by Dipsites choir (consisting of 100 students) ,thus creating a feeling of patriotism amongst spectators. The choir represented at The Railway Training institute and be the part of mass patriotic song singing presentation by one crore students to make world record, an initiative taken by Rajasthan government. Poems showing the love for one's country and great thoughts about the affection towards our motherland were presented by Darshan, Fatima , Riddhima and Kumaresh. News was showcased by Pragya and Arsh. Then Ananya, Yagya, Shourya , Sana , Hitarth and Vania apprised the audience by celebrating the life of six Unsung Warriors who struggled hard to attain independence for our country. They talked about Sri Aurobindo, Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay, Durgawati Devi, Batukeshwar Dutt, Adbul Gaffar Khan and Pengali Venkayya. Parents of class Prep C were invited to witness the class assembly. Children highlighted the significance of the festival, presented solo and group dances .Mothers participated in 'Thaali Decoration'. It was a delightful celebration which made the environment full of joy and festivity. NATIONAL SPORTS DAY- SPECIAL ASSEMBLY Assembly on National Sports Day was conducted today in the assembly area by classes VIII-B & VIII-F. The day is also used to mark the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand. The Assembly started with prayer followed by other cultural dance performances, speeches, poems and slogans by the students. CELEBRATING ONENESS (RASHTRIYA EKTA DIWAS) Our nation is famous in the world for 'unity in diversity'. To promote and instill the feeling of unity in students, Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was celebrated in the form of a special assembly, conducted by class XD. Spirit of unity was inculcated through poetry recital, speech, skit and dance performance related to the theme. In all, the assembly was significant in realising its aim of imparting the value of oneness in students. 133","SPECIAL EVENTS THE INVESTITURE AND THE AWARD CEREMONY The swearing- in ceremony of the student Council is an annual event, celebrated with grandeur at DPS Udaipur. The investiture and the award ceremony was organised in the school premises on 10th October 2022. Mr. Vikas Sharma, the District Superintendent of Police presided as the Chief Guest of the event. Mr. Chanchal Mishra, the District judge, Dr. A.K Sacheti- Member of Management, Brigadier Ramkrishna ji and DEO Mr. Pushpendra Sharma graced the occasion as the special guests. Ms. Apoorva Agarwal, Member of Management welcomed the guests and the gathering through a warm welcome speech. Amidst vibrant cultural performances, the newly elected members of the junior, middle and Senior school Council received their badges of special power and responsibilities. It was a very proud moment for the parents to see their wards being donned with the mantle of responsibilities. The student Council pledged to shoulder their duties with utmost dedication and integrity. The games and the live music show added gaiety to the pompous celebration. 135","75TH INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION As the Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Independence Day celebrations from the ramparts of the Red Fort in New Delhi, the echoes were heard in the enchanting campus of DPS UDAIPUR. The celebration was honoured by the presence of the esteemed guests Col. Amit Soni and Wing Commander Mudit Chourasia, who hoisted the tri-colour and commenced the cultural programme. The campus was graced with the presence of members of the management, Ms. Mani Agarwal, Mr. Deepak, Mr. Devesh, Ms. Ashita and Ms. Apoorva. The gathering of students, teachers and parents was addressed by the guests who ignited the spirit of patriotism, and stressed the importance of sacrifices made by the freedom fighters. The Principal Mr. Sanjay Narvaria addressed the august gathering and emphasised the value of freedom and how the utmost priority to be given to our motherland. The cultural extravaganza included speeches and poems in Hindi and English, energetic dance performances and enthusiastic singing of patriotic songs. The special achievers in the varied olympiads were felicitated by the guests and also the students who had note worthy performance in state and district level sports tournaments. They were given certificates of appreciation to mark the special occasion.
