DPS UDAIPUR CAMBRDIGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL DPS UDAIPUR REGISTERED AS CAMBRIDGE SCHOOL One more feather was added in the cap of DPS Udaipur when the awaited certification of the school registration as the Cambridge Primary School was received by the school on 11th April 2022. The School has also been registered as the Cambridge Early Years Centre and Cambridge Primary School. This new international education program has been introduced for the children of classes Nursery to III. CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION 2022-23- EXCITING BEGIN Delhi Public School Udaipur launched its first batch of Cambridge International Education 2022-23. We have always loved the first day of the school better than any other day! Firsts are the best because they are the beginnings! It was a memorable day as these young Dipsites were entering into a whole new world of learning. They were welcomed by the Principal and Headmistress who blessed them with a welcome card and a badge. To make this day more exciting various activities like Summer Recipe Time, Story Telling, Movie Show Dance Party origami, etc. were conducted. The students enjoyed and had breathtaking fun together. LEARNING ORIGAMI Students of CAIE at Delhi Public School Udaipur learnt Origami, art of paper folding which is associated with Japanese culture. Learning the basic folds and making eye catching objects out of it and as they learn they improve their fine motor skills. They looked overjoyed as they learnt and competed with each other. 137

RAKSHABANDHAN CELEBRATION Our rich Culture and traditions have been the guidelines for us in every sphere of our lives. One such is celebrating the Festival of Bond that is Rakshabandhan. Students of CAIE at Delhi Public School Udaipur celebrated this festival by making traditional Rakhi (the red square piece of cloth has whole moong and is tied with auspicious red thread). Students offered Rakhi to the Almighty to seek blessings to guide them on the path of righteousness. CELEBRATION OF ' BIRTH OF LORD KRISHNA' Celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna who enchants everyone with his playful mischief, students of CAIE at Delhi Public School Udaipur showed lot of zeal and joyousness. They learnt about different names with which Lord Krishna is remembered. They enjoyed bathing Lord Krishna and dressing him up with beautiful clothes mormukut, garland, etc. They offered Prasad and fruits to the almighty and sang holy songs. GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION 'May lord Ganesha, the mentor, the protector and the remover of obstacles enlighten our lives!' Students of Primary year 1 conducted an assembly on Ganesh Chaturthi. They narrated the stories which conveyed the message of not to be proud of the wealth we possess. They learnt about the importance of 'Ganesha Chaturthi'. and sang bhajan 'Jai Ganesh Deva......' taught by the music teacher. The assembly concluded with the Ganesh Aarti. 138

INSTILLING ‘LIFE-SKILLS’ “Tell me and l forget, Teach me and l remember, Involve me and l learn!” Students of CAIE at Delhi Public School Udaipur visited the mall where they had firsthand experience of the various topics taught to them in the classroom. BOOSTING CONFIDENCE THROUGH FINGERPLAY A Fingerplay is a series of hand, finger or arm movement to depict the character or images according to the rhymes. These help in promoting fine and gross motor skills encouraging Language development and improving social skills amongst children. To make learning fun, frolic, joyful and interesting, an Intra class Fingerplay Competition was organised. Students were eagerly waiting to hear their classmates perform. Ms Sanjivini Singh narrated a story with a message ‘Care and Respect your friends’. GRANDPARENTS DAY CELEBRATION To strengthen the bond chain of love the students of CAIE at Delhi Public School Udaipur along with respected grandparents, celebrated ‘Grandparents Day’. The guests were welcomed by our Principal Sir and Headmistress ma'am. They shared their views and blessed the students with their words of wisdom. Various activities and games 139

were organized by the teachers wherein the grandparents showed their enthusiasm. Mrs. Nainawatee, grandparent of Erisha presented a self-composed and a mesmerizing poem. DIWALI CELEBRATION Diwali is not just a festival it's an emotion. It’s that time of the year when everyone is in festive mood! And why not when it is all about preparations, decorations, singing, dancing, sharing, greeting and above all strengthening family bonds! Students of CAIE at Delhi Public School Udaipur celebrated ‘Diwali’ through a number of joyous activities that engaged children and their parents. WORLD STUDENT'S DAY Students of CAIE at Delhi Public school Udaipur remembered the great personality Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam on his birthday which is observed as WORLD STUDENT'S DAY. Students enjoyed experiments based on air, water and their properties; Magnetic field; Light and Shadow; Reflection and Refraction; Process of photosynthesis and many more. Students were given cards and plantable pencils on this day. A stepwise demonstration of how to use these plantable pencils was given by Science Teacher Ms Sanjivini Singh. 140

Assemblies ASSEMBLY ON THE THEME-\"HEALTH IS WEALTH Students of Primary Year One (Cambridge) conducted the assembly on the theme-\"Health is Wealth , Healthy Eating Habits\" . They conveyed this message through Thought of the day and by reciting poems about balanced food and some healthy eating habits to their fellow mates. The students enacted a play wherein they narrated the importance of healthy food in our life. The Headmistress Ms. Shalini Singh congratulated the best performers of the various competitions. TEACHING GOOD MANNERS A special assembly was conducted by students of Early Years One, Early Years Two and Early Years Three at CAIE (Delhi Public School Udaipur). Speech on Importance of Good Manners, Thought of the Day, Good Manners Chart and Quotes on Good Manners were shared by the students. As they participated in the assembly, they not only enjoyed but also learnt magic words. 141
