DEPENDENCYAOCNADSMEMARICTPPHEROFNOERAMNADNCTHE E IMPACT ON Nor Azmira Binti Nor Azamin*, Nur Azzarina Binti Mohamad, Nur Izzati Binti Iezudin,          Nurul Lina Natasha Binti Mohd Rizuan, Yusshazwany Binti Mat Yusoff Abstract This study aims to identify students’uses and attitudes on their daily lifestyle, social needs, and learning among part 4 Statistics students in Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Cawangan Kampus Raub towards smartphone and the impact on academic performance. Smartphone is the mobile phone (also known as cell phone or cell mobile) with an advanced mobile operating system that combines features of a personal computer operating system with other features useful for mobile or handheld use. Nowadays, smartphone is the one gadget that everyone wants to have. However, the student do not realize that mobile phone can affect them in many ways. Therefore, it is hoped to know if their attitude towards smartphone will give positive or negative impact. Stratified and simple random sampling were used to test the hypotheses (only for the students who use smartphones) on amount of 245 Statistics students, using direct questionnaire method. The results show that students’uses and attitudes on daily lifestyle, social needs, and learning towards smartphone are positively related with their academic performance. FACCATWOARNS TGHAANTPIANHFLAUNEGNKCAEMAPSUTSHRMAAUABMSTOUNDGENUTITSM Akmal Hakim Bin Adanan*, Mohd Amirul Azri Bin Mohd Abidin, Nur Aina Binti Abd Halim, Nurul Najiehah Binti Azamil and Nur Fatin Aziera Binti Azhar Abstract According to World Health Organization(WHO), the deaths caused of asthma in Malaysia in May 2014 was 1.29% or 1,642 of total deaths. Malaysia is at the rank of 58 in the world that recorded the deaths rate 8.22 per 100,000 of population because of asthma. This study was done to identify the factors that most influence asthma in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students that experience asthma disease due to their family history, environment, diet and depression in their lifes. Asthma can affect their daily life and could influence the performance in academic. In addition, it has been shown that the females are involved in asthma which is 80.65%. Furthermore, family that involves asthma disease can lead their children to have asthma and it may affect the heredity to involve in. Next, the environment also influences in getting asthma in terms of the cleanliness of the environment such as the dust, haze and car exhaustion. Besides, taking unbalanced diet also leads to asthma as it can make one’s body immune becomes weak.  Depression in studies also can increase the rate of students to get asthma and can promote asthma to be occurred frequently for those have had that disease. The reliability of this study is 61.4% and this study used random sampling method to conduct the survey among asthma students in UiTM cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. HEALTH SECEAKWINAGNBGEAHNAVPAIOHRAANMGOKNAMG PSUTUS DRAENUTBS OF UITM Aida Munirah Nor Azli*, Khalidah Adibah Ahmad, Puteri Anis Sofea Nor Azman, Putri Nurin Abstract. Afiqah Mohd Pozi and Wan Farah Wahida Wan Azman The study stem is from the information that consists of health in a few aspects which are diet, mental health, sleeping behavior, and smoking. From this study, it can be obtained that which gender practice a healthy lifestyle among the students of UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. The type of data collected is primary data. The data was analysed based on the objectives which related to the topic of health seeking behavior. The questionnaires were designed in English and were distributed randomly to 350 students but there were 16 questionnaires were not returned. Only 287 out of 334 questionnaires were analyzed as the other 47 questionnaires have been rejected because of some missing values. 42.86% questionnaires were answered by male students and the remaining 57.14% were answered by female students. The result of this study shows that male students practice healthy lifestyle even though, they do smoking. Most common male students do smoking because they want to try. On the other hand, 14.29% female students agreed that they always stay up late at night because they have hard time to sleep which is higher as compared to 10.45% male students. Thus, it can be concluded that when someone stay up late,  he or she always feel hungry and take instant food as their supply to have a full stomach. In addition, it can be concluded that the percentage of female students who are less aware about their health condition is higher than male students. In conclusion, the male students practice healthier lifestyle than female students as they did not control their behavior on taking care of their health and bodies. TAHMEOSNATGISSFTAUCDTEINOTNKS TAINOMWUPUIATSRMRDACS UAPUBWBALNICGTARNAPNASHPOANRTGS Anis Nadia Binti Anuar*, Muhammad Hafiz Bin Azizan, Nur Syamimi Binti Elias, Siti Nur Afiqah Binti Mohd Asri, Siti Sarah Binti Shamsul Kamal Abstract This study aims to identify the relationship between public transport service and students satisfaction among UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students. The sampling technique used in this study is stratified sampling technique and the sample size is 337 students out of 2569 with 95% of confidence level and 5% confidence interval. The data used is primary data which is self-administered questionnaire. Before the actual questionnaire was distributed, a pilot study was conducted to randomly select the respondents in order to determine the weakness of design and instruments. Next, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used in this research. Graphs and pie charts have been used to exhibit the results while for inferential statistics, Spearman rank correlation coefficient was used. The result indicates that 54.3% which is 183 students choose to use public transports based on alternatives. While for time and cost show that 30.3% which 102 students out of 337 and for safety awareness only 7.4% same as 25 out of 337 students. For alternatives and time and cost, the spearman rank correlation coefficient shows that there is a significant relationship between both variables and students satisfaction. On the other hand, for safety awareness, there is no significant relationship between safety and student satisfaction.     Keywords: cost, safety awareness, satisfaction, time, transportation

Zaman, and Muhammad Najeemy bin Syahrul Aruldass Abstract  Sex education can be defined as a subject that addresses on issues pertaining to human sexuality in general. In this study, it has been an interest to find about the perception towards sex education in Malaysia among UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students. It is due to the belief that sex education is the remedy to cure social diseases in Malaysia. The target population for this research is 2616 students from 5 different programs which are Diploma in Banking Studies, Business Management, Public Administration, Computer Science and Statistics from different parts. From this population, there were 335 students have become the samples through sample size calculator created by Creative Research System Company. The questionnaire was distributed to these 335 students from different programs. The data was analysed using Spearmans’ rank correlation and chi-square test. As for the results, 53.48% out of the respondents have high general knowledge on sex education while the rest have low general knowledge. According to spearman’s correlation, it can be said that p-value of 0.218 which is higher than the significance level which was 0.05. Hence, the null hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between student’s general knowledge on sex education and their gender is accepted. As for chi-square test, p-value of 0.005 which is lower than the significance level which is 0.05. Hence, the research hypothesis which indicates that there is significant relationship between students’ general knowledge on sex education and their acceptance level if sex education is implemented in Malaysia is accepted compare to its null hypothesis which is there is no significant relationship between them. With good quality sleep, it can support the improvement of physical and neurobiology for an adolescent and encouraging better academic learning. The quality of sleep can affect a person's academic performance. Those who have a good quality of sleep are tend to have better academic achievement than those who have poor sleep quality. The objective of this study is to identify the relationship between sleeping habit over academic performance among Uitm Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students. A study was carried out in Uitm Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub during a four month time starting from December 2016 until March 2017. There are 2616 of the total population of Uitm Raub students, but the sample that was selected is only 335. Nowadays, students are exposed to a lot of pressure due to academic stresses. They are not able to sleep early in the night due to the number of assignments, examinations and other academic responsibilities. Based on a research has been done before, there is a relationship between sleeping habit and academic performance where students who have better sleeping habits tend to achieve excellent academic performance compared to students who have a poor sleeping habit. However, the result in this study shows that there is no relationship between sleeping habit and academic performance among Uitm Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students meaning that there are other factors that affect academic performance of Uitm Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students rather than sleeping habit. From the observation, most of the students use many resources material to improve their performance in studying. Furthermore, Universiti Teknologi Mara(UiTM) Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub was provided many resources such as fully Wi-Fi for the students to easily search the information from the internet and library with many journals. UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub also provides the comfortable places for students to perform study group.  Therefore, this study aimed to find out whether the students use or not the resources materials other than lecture in daily class. The objectives in this study are to identify the effects of the resources materials of students’learning in the library, the references from the internet are useful or not for them to increase their academic performances and to investigate whether study group can improve their academic performances. The population of this study is 2075 students in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub that consists of students in part 2 and above. The sample of this study consisted of 322 students from five programmes which are AM110, BM111, BM119,CS110 and CS111. This study was used stratified sampling technique to collect the data. The study was consisted 56.83% of female students and the rest 43.17% are male students. The results show that there is a significant correlation between academic performances(CGPA) and resources materials. Furthermore, there is a significant relationship between CGPA and knowledge from library. Besides, there is a significant relationship between CGPA and information from the internet. The results also show that CGPA and knowledge from study group is a significant correlation relationship. Based on all the results,it can be concluded that the null hypothesis has to be rejected. In the nutshell, all of resources materials are useful for them in their learning process besides lecture in daily class in order to improve their academic performances mainly for their CGPA. THEITEVINERFLYUDEANYCLEIFSETOHFEIURNAICVAEDRSEIMTYICSTPUERDFEONRTMAANNDCHEOW Fickry Qhushairy Bin Mohd Yazid*, Muhammad Syazwaan Bin Mohd Ismail Hamdi, Khairul Irsyad Bin Mohd Hiffni, A’ina Najwa Binti Masri, Muhammad Syafiq Bin Kamarul Azman Abstract  In Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub, there is a total of 2470 students studying over the 5 courses that are provided by UiTM for the first quarter of 2017. The research is conducted on 335 samples of students through the distribution of questionnaire. Using Crobach-Alpha Testing, the questionnaire is satisfactory in design. The findings indicates that most of the students were less motivated in studying, meaning among 10 students, only about 4 students who do regular studying in their spare time than the remaining students that spending most of their time on doing leisure activities such as sports and sleeping. Not to mention the majority of the students have an average Grade Point Average (GPA) performance of 3.00 to 3.49. Interestingly, there are small number of students that even though they spend most of their free time in leisure activities over studying, they still can produce a good score in their GPA. It is also notable that 13% of the students who participate regularly in healthy activities such as sports have good academic performance in their GPA, in the average range of 3.50 to 4.00. While 15% of those who indulged themselves in club activities, most of them receive an average of 3.00 to 3.49 in their GPA. THE EFFECTS OF BREAKFAST TOWARDS ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AMONG UITM CAWANGAN PAHANG KAMPUS RAUB STUDENTS FAIZATUL DIANA BT ALIAR*, NUR SHAFIRA BT KAMARUDIN, NURSHAFIQAH BT ADAM, NURAIN SAHIRA BT MOHD SOFI, SYAHIRAH BT ROSLI Abstract Breakfast plays a crucial role in increasing academic performance among students. Breakfast consumption gives positive effect on students’ academic and cognitive performance in helping students to focus and perform in the class. Other than that, breakfast enhances academic performance in improving memory and attention span. The purpose of this study are to investigate the effect of breakfast on academic performance and the factors of consuming and not consuming this meal and also the impact on students’ academic performance. The sample size of this study has been calculated to estimate the number of students to answer research questions which is 350 students out of 2616 students in UiTM Raub which obtained from male and female students from AM110, BM111, BM119, CS111, CS110 programmes. A self-design questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents based on the faculty and gender in order to meet the stratified sampling technique to increase the accuracy of statistical analysis. The finding of this study shows that the percentage of male students who take breakfast is 19.14% while male students who do not take breakfast is 17.14%. For female students, the percentage those who take breakfast is 30% while for those who do not take breakfast is 33.71%. It can be said that the breakfast consumption may be influenced by a few factors such as environment, finance and others. The analysis of Spearman’s rho and descriptive statistics of the variable made it possible to draw important information to the impact of breakfast on student performance in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. Addiction towards the Internet among UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub Students NUR IZZAH NAIMI MOHD RADZI*, BATRISYIA ABD RAZAK, AFIQAH ZAFIRAH KAMARUDIN, ANIS ATIERA MOHD HAMKAS, ENGKU NURUL ADLIN ENGKU ZAINAL ABIDIN Abstract Internet addiction was defined as Internet addiction disorder or overuse in Internet usage. The objective of this study is to investigate the relationship between gender and internet addiction among UiTM Raub students. The whole population of this study is 2577.This total includes the students from part 1 until part 6 in every courses, such as AM110 (Diploma in Public Administration), BM111 (Diploma in Business Studies), BM119 (Diploma in Banking Studies), CS110 (Diploma in Computer Sciences) and CS111 (Diploma in Statistics). The sample consisted of 331 students; AM110 (113), BM111 (63), BM119 (58), CS110 (50) and CS111 (47) from the whole population. The method of data collection used in this study is questionnaire distribution. The main finding for one of the main objectives is the male students got a higher percentage than the female students which is 54.86% than 45.14% only. However, for the students who are unsure whether they are addicted or not is 38.07%. Overall, the male studnets are more addicted towards the Internet instead of the female students. The Effect of the Internet Towards Students Humanity Behaviours in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub MOHAMMAD ALI IMRAN BIN HARIS*, ASHILA HUSNA BINTI ABDUL HALIM, NURUL ADILAH BINTI MOHD TAJUDIN, NUR ALESA BINTI MOHD ZIN, NORAZUANI ILENA ILIANI BINTI AMRAN Abstract As a new medium of learning readily connected with the outside world, the Internet has brought unprecedented opportunities to students. The survey on the effects of the internet towards students is very important in order to see the students’ humanity behaviour. The objective of the research are first, to determine the length of time and expenses allocated by the students in the use of social or internet networks in everyday life, second, to investigate the effect from internet or social network to student academic performance based on their gender and CGPA and third, to identify the level of students attitude and awareness about human rights. The population of this study is involved all students in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. About 320 students out of 1879 students were selected as samples which are 105 students from AM110, 54 students from BM111, 48 students from BM119, 53 students from CS110 and 60 students from CS111. Stratified sampling technique was used to analysis the data. By using chi-square test, the significant association between internet and time spend using internet networks can be shown as a result. Besides that, the spearman’s correlation coefficient shows positive agree between the internet and time spending using internet network. As the conclusion, it is very important for the people in this new generation to learn about human rights because there is a need to know about rights and to make this world a better place for the future.

STYLISTYC FEATURES OF MUSIC THAT PREFFERED BY STUDENTS IN UiTM CAWANGAN PAHANG KAMPUS RAUB *SYA’ZANA BINTI YAZID, LIYANNA NURDIANNA BINTI DAUD, EZZA SURAYA BINTI MOKHTAR RODI, NURFATHIN AQIDAH BINTI MOHD FAZLEE, SOLEHIN NAJMI BIN MD KAMAL Abstract This study is conducted to investigate the stylistic features of music preferred by students in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. Music is a form of various sound that been combined in such ways to create a good melody. Music can be divided into genres such as country music, ballad music, and others. The data used in the study obtained from 335 students as sample of the population which consist of 2616 students. According to the spearman’s correlation, the first result of this study is there is relationship between the effect of study and the stylistic features of music preferred by student in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. The second result of this study is there is relationship between the attitude of students and the stylistic features of music preferred by student in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. For the population, it is obtained from the students in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub which consist of three major faculties. The study design that is used for this study is cross-sectional design. For the description of sample, the amount of 335 students were taken as a sample out of 2616 as a population. There is a few type of measuring instruments that are used in this study such as demographic profile, closed format question, and Likert scale in section A, B and C respectively. The method of data collection was used in this study is using primary data. The sampling technique that was applied is stratified sampling. Keyword: music, music effect, study, stylistic features

Fashion Preferred among UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub Students SITI NURAINAA SYAFIQAH BINTI ISMAIL*, BIBI NURUL IDORA BINTI KHAIRUL ALBAR, WAN NURUL FATHIHAH BINTI WAN AHMAD FEKRI, SYAHIRAH BINTI MINHAT Abstract Fashion is a popular trend, especially in style of dress and ornament or manners of behaviour. But then, there are many factors that influence the trend including the style of hair, the types of fabric used for clothing and the way of people dress up. The culture of Malaysia draws on the varied cultures of the different people of Malaysia. Based on the result of this research, it has been found that 39% agreed on casual clothes from 335 samples. For trendy wear, almost 68% agreed. This study is to identify the type of fashion that most preferred by the students. The population used is 2,616 and its sample is 335. This study used stratified sampling. From the research, it can be said that the fashion preferred by UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students depends on the type of fashion, awareness of fashion and expenses for fashion spent by the students. The students who are from the age of 20 to 21 years old has the highest respondents which is female with 71% while 29% is male. For the age 22  to 23 years old, the lowest respondents for this study is 48% and 52% for female and male respectively. For the descriptive statistics, the correlation is significant at 0.01 level with two tailed. It can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the kind of fashion and the brand preferred by UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub students. UTILIZATION OF STUDENT LOAN (PTPTN) AND ITS EFFECT ON UITM CAWANGAN PAHANG KAMPUS RAUB SEMESTER 2 STUDENTS’ FINANCIAL SITUATION MUHAMMAD HAZWAN HARIZ BIN SHUPIAN*, SYAHILA BINTI AZMAN, JUITA BINTI SAAT, MUHAMMAD QAYYUM BIN MOHD MUJIB Abstract The National Higher Education Fund (Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi National, PTPTN) was set up with the aim of providing education loans to students pursuing their studies at local higher education institutions (HEIs). This loan will enable students to fully or partially pay their fees and their subsistence for the duration of their study. Thus, this correlation study is about the utilization of student loan PTPTN and its effect on UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus  Raub, semester 2 students’ financial situation. The objective are to study relationship between spending pattern, financial management and financial advisor toward effectiveness of PTPTN. The questionnaire was distributed to 160 semester 2 students consist of Statistics and Science Computer students (CS111 & CS110), Banking and Business Students (BM111 & BM119) and Public Administration students (AM110). Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics were used in this research to find the result. The data analysis revealed that spending pattern and financial management have a significant relationship toward effectiveness of PTPTN while the financial advisor does not have significant relationship toward effectiveness PTPTN. In conclusion, the utilization of student loan PTPTN does effect on UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus  Raub, semester 2 students’ financial situation. The Method Used by UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub Students in Enhancing English Language Skills SYAIDATUL NORIFA BINTI MOHD BADRUL*, NOR AZNI BINTI AZMI, NUR SHAHIRA BINTI ZAKARIA, NUR AIN SYAFIQAH BINTI ABDUL KADIR AND NURUL ASHYIKIN BINTI RAMLI English language skills is important for ones’ future since English is known as a second language in communication. The greater demand for graduates with good English skills especially in communication justifies the need for more advanced improvement ways. The main objective of this research is to identify which method preferred by UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub to increase their English language skills. The pattern of method used by gender also identified. By using formula of stratified sampling technique, 335 students were identified as samples from 2616 population of students in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub which consist of five courses. There are 365 students from Statistic Students (CS111), 397 students from Computer Science Students (CS110), 455 students from Banking Studies Students (BM119), 506 students from Business Studies Students (BM111), and 893 students from Public Administration (AM110). The first limitation is time constraint. Wise time management is important in order to finish the project within the due date. Secondly, it is difficult in conducting this project because of the cooperation from the students. Students have limited time to answer the questionnaire and some students refused to answer the questionnaire was given. Lastly, the data obtained in some cases may be biased. This situation may affect the result later. This study using cross sectional design since the data collection was taken from the sample only once. The questionnaire consists of four sections with 28 questions. As a result, 47.16% students prefer movie, 31.64% choose music, 14.63% choose literature and the balance choose others as the method they prefer. STUDENTS OPINION TOWARDS THE EFFECT OF GENDER INEQUALITY WAN NORADZWA WAN FAUZI*, AMEERAH MANSOR, HALEESYA ABU BAKAR, AUJI AZREEN ADNAN, AIN SYAFIQAH MARZUKI Abstract Gender inequality is define as hierarchicals genders relations with male above female, where female being regarded as the lowest and less valuable solely by virtue of their sex. Therefore the aim of this research is to investigate the opinion of the students whether  gender inequality exist in educational sector in Malaysia. Hence this research also aim to study the opinion of students towards whether gender inequality exist in political sector in Malaysia.  Furthermore , this study is intended to analyse the opinion of students towards whether gender inequality exist in career advancement in Malaysia.  To achieve this research objectives, the data were collected from 335 students from five different courses in UiTM Raub. Based on the students opinion towarsds the gender inequality, the results shows that 24.06% stated that they are experiencing gender inequality through educational sector. While for social sector shows that 22.32% are also experiencing gender inequality in their life. Hence, the highest is 38.55% display that none of them are experience gender inequality.  Alas, this study will provide clear understanding on the presence of different kinds of violence based on gender and sexual orientation, and terrible reflect of such brutallity towards the victims in any different kind of sectors. STUDENTS’ PERSPECTIVE ON THE FACTORS OF CYBERBULLYING IN UiTM RAUB AHMAD HASYIDAN ABDULLAH*, AHMAD AIZAT SHUKRI, KHAIRI IDZHAR AZMAN, MUHAMAD NORASRUL MOHD ZULKIFLI, NURHAMDIN ZARIF MOHAMMAD ZAKI ABSTRACT Bullying in Facebook, Twitter, Whatsapp, WeChat and other social network can be considered as cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is the wrong doings or aggressive act by using any electronic devices or communication that is directed to any individual or group that is incapable in defending themselves. This research has been conducted to investigate the factors of cyberbullying through the perception of students in UiTM Raub. This research consists four (4) objectives which are to study the relationship between gender, awareness towards cyberbullying, pyschological factors and family problems with involvement in cyberbullying. In order to obtain the research objectives,  data were collected from 335 students (male = 57.6%, female = 41.2%) out of 2616 students in UiTM Raub from different courses. The findings show that 25% of student were involved in cyberbullying and 75% of student were not involved in cyberbullying. Furthermore, there is significant linear relationship between awareness toward cyberbullying with the involvement in cyberbullying. Other than that, the psychological factors also shows positive relationship towards involvement in cyberbullying. Next, the family problems also being prove where there are a relationship towards this factors. THE EXPLORATORY STUDY OF DENGUE CASES IN RAUB TUAN NUR NAJWA TUAN MOHAMMAD*, NURZULAIKHA KHALID, NUR SYUHAIMA MOHD ZAINI Abstract: The dengue cases has grown dramatically around the world in recent decades, especially in Malaysia. Therefore, this research aims to explore the dengue cases in Raub and the students’ knowledge in UiTM Raub about dengue cases. This study has four objectives which are to study the relationship between gender and the rate of dengue cases, frequency and the rate of dengue cases, the type of neighborhoods and the rate of dengue cases and to forecast the trend of dengue cases. To achieve the goal of this study, secondary data was taken and data was collected from the students of UiTM Raub to study on students' knowledge of dengue cases. The result  shows that 17.04% of male more than female affected by dengue infection. The study also shows that dengue cases often happen in urban areas than in rural areas, for example in the zone of Gali stated the highest dengue cases which is 58.97%. In addition, our study shows the result of deaths due to dengue infection rate is only 0.9%. Furthermore, our forecast show that  in the year 2017, dengue cases have increased from January until December. The limitation in this research is that the data only provided from the year 2014 until the end of 2016  because the data are too privacy to be given to the public. THE PERCEPTION OF UITM RAUB STUDENTS TOWARD THE FACTORS INFLUENCING STUDENT AWARENESS ON PLAGIARISM A’IN YASMINA ROSLIN, NURUL AFIFAH KHAIROOL ANUAR, NURUL AIN NAJIHAH ROZAINAL Abstract Plagiarism have been worse day by day especially lately due to variety factors.Generally, the purpose of this research is to identify the perception of UiTM Raub students toward the factors influencing students’ awareness on plagiarism. This study has three objectives, which are to study the relationship between gender and student awareness on plagiarism,time management and student awareness on plagiarism , and attitudes and student awareness on plagiarism. A sample of 335 students from five different courses in UiTM Raub participated in this study to achieve the research objectives.The respondents consist of 42.69% of male and 57.31% of female. The result shows that overall of 29.55% think that it is minor plagiarism and 38.51% from female. Then, 30.75% are neutral about time management. Next, 22.39% neutral on attitudes.  Lastly, the limitation of this study is that the researcher has a very limited time and energy while completing this study. STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION TOWARDS DENGUE CASES IN UiTM RAUB NUR ALIAH NADHIRAH ZAMRI*, NUR ADILLA CHE AKIM Abstract Dengue fever is the most dangerous mosquito vectored of infections on human being, most important disease that affecting tropical and sub-tropical country. This dengue fever are a very dangerous fever and everyone should be aware of because this may lead to death. Therefore, this research aims to provide information about the students’ perception towards dengue cases in UiTM Raub. This study contains of two objectives, which are to determine relationship between knowledge and self-awareness on dengue cases, and also to study relationship between environment and self-awareness on dengue cases. In order to achieve these objectives, data were collected from 335 students from 5 different courses of UiTM Raub. The results obtained shows that the correlation coefficient is 0.443 while for the second objectives shown the results of correlation coeficient is 0.430. Spearman’s Correlation Method had been used in this research for both variables. As for the conclusions, the result for both objectives is significant. THE PERSPECTIVES OF THE STUDENTS IN UiTM RAUB ON DIVORCEMENT AINUL NADHIRAH CHE HASSAN, PUTRI NUR HABINASHITA AZENAN, NURRUL AININ SOFIA MOHD NOR AZAHAR, FARAH DALILA MOHD BAZLI, NOR SYAHIDA MOHD PAUZI Abstract Nowadays, there are a lot of cases of divorce in Malaysia. This is an important research that study about how many marriage end in divorce and the factors that influence the divorcement. The objective of this study is to investigate the perspectives of students in UiTM Raub on how career, financial problems and health influence divorcement. Next, the methodology of this study is stratified sampling technique to choose the respondents and the sample taken is 335. The result of this research are career, financial problems and health does not have significant relationship to divorce. 9.85% male disagree with career is influence the divorcement. 9.25 % female disagree that career tend to cause divorce. 13.43 % of male and 14.63 % of female neither agree nor disagree that financial problem tend to cause divorce respectively. For the health, the result showed that 6.87 % of male agree that the health influence the divorcement. While, 10.15 % female agree that health is influence the divorcement. STUDENT’S PERSPECTIVE ON VIDEO GAMES TOWARDS HEALTH AND LIFESTYLE IN UITM RAUB AHMAD LATIFI BIN AZRIN , HAZIQ BIN MOHD ZAKI , MUHAMMAD DANISH BIN MOHD FIRDAUS Abstract Video games play a big part in everyone’s daily life , especially among youths. Therefore , this research aim is to study on students perspective on video games towards their health and lifestyle in UiTM Raub. This study has three objectives and one of them is to identify the relationships between video games and lifestyle , video games and health , and video games and psychology. Data were collected from 335 students in five of different parts and courses in UiTM Raub. Using spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, the results show that there is a positive relationship towards all the objectives in this research which are relationship between video games and health , lifestyle and psychology. Meanwhile, another finding suggests that out of 335 students, 74.3% currently play video games in their daily life and 28.1% of them are females. Recommendation for a better study is to increase the sampling size and add more variables for a more appealing and interesting study. OPINION ABOUT VACCINES AMONG RESIDENTS IN UiTM RAUB NORSYUHADAATIKAH BINTI SA’AIDON, SITI NOR AZLIZA BINTI MOHAMAD SAAD, NURAMIRA BINTI OMAR YAHYA, NURAIN BINTI SAMSUDIN, NOR HANISAH BINTIAZHAR ABSTRACT Vaccine is one of the medical actions taken to activate humans’ antibodies by strengthening their immunity system. By acting as an antigen, vaccines prevent people from harmful diseases that can get worse if they did not take any effective action. This study was conducted to analyse; the correlation between knowledge and acceptance of vaccines among residents in UiTM Raub, the relationship between gender and acceptance of vaccines, and the relationship between media and acceptance of vaccines, the association between religion and acceptance of vaccines, and the correlation between general confidence and acceptance of vaccines among residents in UiTM Raub. A Stratified sampling technique was used to identify the sample of the respondents from five different academic programmes and administrative staff in UiTM Raub. A set of questionnaire were distributed  to 335 students out of  2616 students and 189 staff. The data gathered were then analysed inferentially using chi-square, cross tabulation and spearman’s correlation coefficient. The result revealed thet there was no significant relationship between gender and religion with the acceptance of vaccines among residents in UiTM Raub. Nevertheless, there was a significant linear relationship between general confidence, knowledge and media with acceptance of vaccines among residents in UiTM Raub. In conlusion, it is recommended for respondents to increase their knowledge on vaccines in providing accurate result in future research.

Shopping Preferences Among Students In UiTM Raub INTAN NAJIHAH BINTI MOHAMAD NAPIAH, NURARIENA FARHANA BINTI NOOR HAMIZAN, NURAFIQAH BINTI AHMAD BADRI, NURAMIZATUL HAMIZAN BINTI MAWARDI, NUR SYAKIRAH BINTI SHAHARANI ABSTRACT Online shopping is a form of electronic commerce which allows consumers to directly buy goods or services from sellers over the Internet using a web browser. This study aimed; to analyse the affiliation between buying experience and the preference of the students to pursue online shopping, to evaluate the connection between the gender and the preference of students to pursue online shopping, to identify the motivations of the students that has influenced them to buy online and the preference to pursue online shopping, to determine the relationship between the type of commodity and the preference of students to pursue online shopping, and to identify the correlation between the internet literacy and the preference of students to pursue online shopping. A set of questionnaire was distributed to 335 respondents out of 2616  students in UiTM Raub using stratified sampling method. The data were then analysed inferentially using chi-square test and spearman’s corelation coefficient. The result revealed that there was no significant relationship between gender and the preference on online shopping since both male and female have equal preferences to buy online. As for the type of products and buying experience, the results showed no significant relationship between variables because the type of products did not influence the preferences on online shopping and students have mixed feelings regarding the buying experince. Lastly, the motivations of students and internet literacy based on the preferences on online shopping showed that students agreed that motivation and internet literacy affected preferences on online shopping.Hence, students do prefer to involve in online shopping.

The Knowledge of Texting Slangs among the Teenagers and Adults NOOR AISYAH RASHIF*, NUR FARAH ELEEDA AZMI, NOR NAZUIN NAZARAIL, NURAQILAH LIYANA HANAFI & NURSYAFARWANI AZEEM Texting slang is described as a contemporary written language evolution which is frequently used in messaging and texting using handphones or other devices as a medium of interaction. Texting slang involves both symbols and special abbreviations of words and phrases that convey certain meaning. LOL (Laugh Out Loud), ROFL (Rolling on Floor Laughing), OMG (Oh My God) and TTYL (Totally) are the examples of highly recognized texting slang used by users which to certain extent give negative impacts on students as its usage deteriorate formal writing skills, English proficiency and relationship gap. Thus, this study aimed; to measure the relationship between the knowledge of texting slangs and gender, to investigates the impact of texting slang in molding relationship gap between the adolescents and the adults and to identify its effect on students’ English Proficiency. A set of questionnaire was distributed to collect the data using stratified sampling method with the total of 335 respondents out of 2806 total population in UiTM Raub. The results revealed that there were significant relationships between knowledge of texting slang and relationship gap, English proficiency and the knowledge of texting slang and misinterpretation and the knowledge of texting slang. Nevertheless, the chi-square test showed that there was no association between formal writing skill and the knowledge of texting slang. In this light, it can be concluded that texting slangs affect students’ formal written skills and further lead to deterioration in English proficiency.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE RECEIVED BY STUDENTS IN UITM RAUB IZYAN HANNANI, YUZAFAZILA, NOR FARHANIS FATIHAH & SITI ZURIDAH ABSTRACT Seeking for jobs is vital but not everyone manage to secure the positions. All of the established companies around the world aim to hire well rounded employees with high academic qualification and there is no doubt that education is highly essential to survive in this present era. Nevertheless, financial constrain may be the focal factor which hinders one to embark on education journey. Thus, this study aimed to identify the relationship between the family income, CGPA, number of siblings, source of the assistance received and the social status of students with the amount of financial assistance received by students in UiTM Raub, Pahang. A stratified sampling technique was utilised in this study whereby a total of 322 UiTM Raub students were selected as the respondents. The data gathered were then analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The result revealed that there were no significant relationships between the source of the assistance received and the social status with the amount of financial assistance received by students in UiTM Raub. However, there were significant relationships between the family income, CGPA and the number of siblings with the amount of financial assistance received by students in UiTM Raub. To conclude, it is recommended that the respondents are to be selected among those who experience financial problems in achieveing better research result.

Awareness of Eating Disorder among students in UiTM Raub DALILA , ANIS , NURIN , SYAZA AND FATIN ABSTRACT Eating disorders are described as serious health conditions that are characterized by irregular eating habits and severe distress or concern about body weight or shape. Eating disorders may negatively impact health; physically, mentally, and emotionally, and disturb the ability to function in important areas of life. This study was conducted to determine whether the students are aware of crucial issues of eating disorder in their daily lives. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between awareness of eating disorder and other factors such as basic knowledge, family background, psychological elements and social media influences. A stratified sampling technique was utilized in this study whereby out of 2616 UiTM Raub students’ population, only 335 were selected from five different courses. The result revealed that there was a significant relationship between the awareness of eating disorder and knowledge, social media, psychology and family problem. Thus, it is concluded that all four factors serve to the crucial impact of eating disorder awareness among students in UiTM Raub.  

A STUDY ON YOUTH’S PERSPECTIVE TOWARDS DEPRESSION FATIN NAZIHA BINTI MOHD NASIR, NUR DAYANA BINTI MOHD FAUZI*, UMMI KHALISA BINTI ABDUL LATIFF & NURULIZZAH BINTI AHMAD RAMLI@NAZELI ABSTRACT Depression  is  a  mental  illness  that  impacts  the  brain  and  it  is  much  more  than  what  people  perceive  as  just  feeling  “down”. Depression  is  a  serious and  very  common  condition  that  has  been  characterised  by  The  World  Health  Organization  as  the  most  disabling  disorders  in  the  world. The  major concern of  depression  is  that  most  people  who  suffer  the  disease  are  never  diagnosed and  let  alone to be  treated. The  main  purpose  of  this  research  was  to  study  the  level  of  general  knowledge  youths have  towards  depression  and  wheather  it  influences  their  personal  experience  with  depression,  their  attitude  towards  depression  and  their  acceptance  level  towards  depression.  The study also aimed  to  determine  whether  gender  correlates  with  youths’  general  knowledge  on  depression. A total of 335  respondents  were selected  from  5  different  courses  in  UiTM Raub using  stratified  sampling  technique. The result revealed that  there was  a  correlation  between  youths’  gender  and  their  personal  knowledge  towards  depression  where  most  respondents  who  obtained  high  knowledge  level  were  female.  Furthermore,  researchers  discovered  that  there  was  a  significant  relationship  between  youths’  general  knowledge  on  depression  and  their  personal  experience  with  the  disease.  There  was  also  a  significant  relationship  between  how  knowledgeable  youths  are  towards  depression  and  their  attitude  and  acceptance  level  towards  depression. In this light,this study attempted to  raise  awareness  towards  the  dangerous  effects  that  depression  has  towards  the  twenty – first  century  youths  and  young  adults.  It is recommended that  everyone  has to  educate  themselves  on  the  importance  of  handling and managing depression.

CONSUMERS' AWARENESS ON HALAL COSMETIC PRODUCTS LUQMAN MOHD NABIL, NOOR SYAFIQAH NORDIN, NORHIDAYAH ABU BAKAR, NUR SHAZWANI ABSTRACT HAMDAN, NUR SYAZWANI ZULKHAIRI The lexeme ‘Halal’ is derived from an Arabic word which means lawful and permitted in Islam. The halal scope is not only limited to food to be consumed but also cosmetics to be applied on Muslims. Cosmetic products, on the other hand, are not specifically narrowed down to makeup and skin care products but they also cover a wide range of beauty products such as fragrances and hair care products. A Halal product is a product that does not contain alcohol substances and any part of pork, pork DNA, porcine or animals slaughtered not according to the Islamic law. This also covers the manufacturing process, storage, packaging and delivery of the products. The aims of this study were to examine the relationship between; gender and consumers’ awareness on halal cosmetic product, consumers’ interest and consumers’ awareness, product brand and consumers’ awareness, product label and consumers’ awareness and finally social influence and consumers’ awareness. A stratified sampling technique was utilised in this study whereby a total of 335 respondents among UiTM Raub students were involved. The result revealed that there were significant relationships between gender, consumers’ interest and product label with consumers’ awareness. However, there were no significant relationships between product brand and social influence with consumers’ awareness on halal cosmetic product. In conclusion, the researchers recommend the respondents to be more aware in purchasing halal cosmetic product.

STUDENTS’ PERCEPTION ON SOFT-SKILLS IZZATY BINTI ABD RAZAK, ALISA BINTI AZRI, NURSARAHAMANI BINTI ROSLI, KIKI CAMERENA BINTI ZAINI, NURUL ‘ALIYANA BINTI OTHMAN ABSTRACT Soft-skills are known as people’s skills and personal attributes that one possesses which include communication skills, teamwork skills, time management skills, technology literacy and financial planning. The objective of this study was to investigate the relationship between students’ perception towards the needs of the soft-skills and five types of soft-skills such as communication, team work, technology literacy, financial planning and time management. A set of questionnaire was distributed to the respondents and the data collected were then analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. Spearman’s rank correlation was used to analysed inferentially. The results revealed positive relationship between students’ perception towards the needs of the soft-skills and all the five types of soft-skills such as, communication skills, teamwork skills, time management skills, technology literacy and financial planning. It can be concluded that students should be exposed more on the importance of having the above mentioned soft-skills. It is recommended that the future study should be able to open up the good perception among students and people towards soft-skills.

STUDENTS' PERCEPTION TOWARDS INSTANT FOODS NIK SOFIAH BINTI NIK RUSDI, NUR RASYIDAH BINTI FAUZI, NURUL ATHIRAH BINTI RUSHDI, RABI’ATUL ADAWIAH BINTI ABSTRACT ADENAN & WAN NUR SURAYA BINTI WAN ALI Instant food or drink is dried; usually in the form of a powder- can be prepared very quickly by simply adding hot water to the main ingredients such as instant coffee, instant soup and instant noodle. Instant food products are always opted by consumers since the cooking preparation save a lot of time, energy and money. It is crucial to highlight that instant food is nothing similar to fast food which are widely available in the market for examples Pizza Hut, KFC, and Dominos. Thus, the focus of this study is limited to students’ perception towards instant food products instead of fast food products. The aims of this study were; to identify the relationship between gender and students’ perception towards instant food in UiTM Raub, to investigate the relationship between expenditure and perception of students towards instant food, to the study relationship between the frequency of students eating instant food and their perception of instant food, to investigate the relationship between study performance and their perception towards instant food, and to determine the awareness of instant food among UiTM Raub students. A stratified sampling technique was utilized in this study whereby 314 respondents were chosen from the population of 1879 students in UiTM Raub. The data gathered were then analysed inferentially using Spearman’s correlation coefficient and Chi-Square test. The results revealed that there was no significant relationship between gender and students’ perception towards instant food by using chi-square test whereas the balance of four objectives were significant. Thus, as a recommendation, further research could be focused more on students’ awareness and their buying behavior towards instant foods.

CORRELATIONAL STUDY BETWEEN GENDER, CURRENT TECHNOLOGY AND PSYCHOLOGY TOWARDS ADDICTION OF SELFIE SHAFEINA HATIEQA SOFEAN, NURUL NASYA RAHIM, NURUL NADIAH OMAR  Abstract A new lexeme called ‘Selfie’ is recently added to the Oxford online dictionaries to represent an action of taking a self-portrait literally with digital camera or smartphone’s camera. Selfie turned to be a worldwide phenomenon with the advanced technology of a front facing camera and the aid of selfie stick, resulted in an endless debate among psychologists specifically. Thus, the objectives of this study were; to investigate the relationship between gender and addiction towards selfie, to measure the relationship between current technology and addiction towards selfie, and to investigate the relationship between psychology and addiction towards selfie. A stratified sampling technique was used whereby 328 respondents were given a set of questionnaire for data collection which then were analysed inferentially using Spearman’s Correlation Ran. The results revealed that there were significant relationships between gender  and addiction towards selfie,and  psychology and addiction towards selfie. Nevertheless, there no significant relationship between technology and addiction towards selfie.

Students' Perception Towards The Factors of Smoking ASHRAF FIQREY BIN MUHAMMAD HARIS, MUHAMMAD AFIQ BIN ISMAIL, WAN MOHD ZAWIR BIN WAN MOKHTAR, MUHAMMAD NUR AIDIL ARIFF BIN MUHAMMAD YUSUF ABSTRACT Smoking habits are inevitable not only among public community but also among university students even though their negative impacts outweigh the positivity. This study was conducted to determine the factors of smoking habits among UiTM Raub students based on their perception toward smoking. A Stratified sampling technique was utilised in this study and the data collected from the respondents were then analysed inferentially using chi-squared test, cross tabulation and Spearman’s rank correlation. The chi-squared test results revealed that there were significant relationships between stress and smoking, and place of origin and smoking. The Spearman’s correlation analysis further showed that there were significant relationships between family problem and smoking and social influence and smoking. Thus, these results indicated that social influence affects people to be more inclined to smoke.

THE EFFECT OF SNS TOWARDS STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS IN UiTM RAUB SITI NUR SHARMIELA BT AYOB,NUR FAREHAH BT MD FUAD, AMIRAH AFIQAH BT CHE RAMLI, FAIQAH NABIHAH Abstract BT KAMSIN Social networking services which are also known as social networking site, SNS, or social media, are platforms used by people to establish social networks and relations with others who share similar real-life connections. This study focused on identifying relationship between students’ time spent on SNS towards students’ academic performance, students’ behaviour, students’ level or quality of communication and students’ attention span in study. The study population was represented by 331 students out of 2420 students in UiTM Raub. A stratified sampling technique was utilised in this study and the results revealed that there were negative relationships between the students’ time spent on SNS towards students’ academic performance and students’ attention span in study. Based on the Spearman correlation rank, the p-value were 0.599 and 0.055 respectively. The results were not significant as the p-value was above 0.05. However, there were positive relationships between the students’ time spent on SNS towards students’ behaviour and students’ level or quality of communication skills. The p-value in Spearman correlation rank for both relationships were 0.012 and 0.041 subsequently. There were also significant relationships between the students’ time spent on SNS towards students’ behaviour and students’ level or quality of communication skills.

CORRELATIONAL STUDY OF SEVERAL STRESS FACTORS BAKURATUL AMANI ABDULLAH, ANIS FARAHIYAH BINTI MOHD FAUZI, JULIA ASYIQIN BINTI JUHAR, NAJIAH BINTI MOHD FAUZAN, NUR ‘IZZATUL FITRI BINTI SAHARUDDIN Abstract Stress is a vital element in human beings’ lives since it enhances flavour, challenge and opportunity to our world. To certain extent, stress can be healthy or even enjoyable. Nevertheless, it can be extremely harmful for students when stress becomes excessive. It can damage students’ health, happiness, work performance, relationships and personal development. This research aimed to study the factors affecting stress among UiTM Raub students in which 335 students were selected as the respondents using stratified sampling technique. Various factors of stress were examined including gender, time management, academic stressor, environmental factors and interpersonal communication. The data gathered were then analysed using Spearman’s rank correlation. The result revealed that there were significant positive relationships between the factors stated which are time management, academic stressor, environmental stressor and interpersonal communication with stress symptom. However, there was no significant relationship between gender and stress symptom.  It is recommended for the future researchers to increase the sample size in achieving more accurate results thus avoiding sampling error.

STUDENTS' PERCEPTION TOWARDS BLENDED LEARNING HASMA BASYIRAH BINTI BAKAR, NUR AMINAH ASIAH BINTI ABDUL LATIF, KHAIRUL NAJWAA BINTI KAMARAZMAN, NABILAH BINTI ABDUL RAHMAN, SITI AINA SHAHIDAH BINTI SHAHARUDIN Abstract Blended learning is currently a phenomenon in the process of teaching and learning. Its emergence is due to the increasing usage of gadgets such as laptop and mobile devices which allows us to access e- learning tools ubiquitously. Nevertheless, most of UiTM students are not familiar with this recent method of learning. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors affecting students perception towards blended learning in UiTM Raub. This study includes students’ gender, knowledge in blended learning, students’ experience, time management and students’ acceptance towards the blended learning style. A Stratified sampling technique was utilised in this study whereby a total of 348 out of 2420 students from five different programmes were selected as the sample. The results obtained stated that there was no relationship between gender and perception towards blended learning but there was a relationship between knowledge, experience, time management, acceptance and perception towards blended learning. Thus, it is worth to mention that blended learning is still in the development stage in UiTM Raub and blended learning is highly recommended to be applied in teaching and learning process since it gives a positive results to the respondents. 

Awareness of Hair Loss among Students in UiTM Raub AINA NADZIRAH BINTI MOHAMMAD NIZAM,FATIN THAQIFAH BINTI ARIFF TENGKU NUR MELISSA BINTI TENGKU AHMAD DANDARAWI, ELYA FARHANA BINTI MOHAMAD NOR HAKIM Hair loss is scientifically kown as alopecia which are hair thinning or baldness. Alopecia occurs for several causes such as family history, medications or drugs, physical stress and emotional stress, hair treatment and nutritional deficiency. Thus, the objective of this research were; to investigate the relationship between gender and awareness towards hair loss, to study the relationship between hair treatment and awareness towards hair loss, to investigate the relationship between stress and awareness hair loss and to identify the relationship between family history and awareness towards hair loss. A Stratified sampling technique was used as a sampling technique in this study whereby a total of 304 students out of 2420 were selected as samples. A set of questionnaire were distributed to the respondents and the data were then analysed using the Spearman’s Correlation Coefficient. The results revealed that there were two significant variables i.e gender and stress, and two no significant variables i.e hair treatment and family history towards awareness of hair loss. It is recommended for the future researcher to increase thye sample for more accurate results. 

THE PERSPERCETSIIVDEEONFTEOAFRULYITMMARRARUIABGE AMONG Farisah Liyana Zulfikri*, Siti Sharnieza Abdul Ghani, Mazriatul Shabahesah Mohamed Isa, Farah Nadiah Ahmad Saupi, Muhammad Amir Luqman Zalimie Sham ABSTRACT: The early marriage or child marriage is defined as a union of two people, in which one or both parties are younger than 18 years old. This phenomenon usually happens to teenage girls from low-income family as the families were unable to support their living. However, in Malaysia, almost all of the early marriage was due to tradition and influence from their surroundings. Therefore, a study was conducted at UiTM Raub using simple random sampling technique to observe the students’opinion on early marriage and to determine the correlation between early marriage with trend and religious. 350 samples of male and female residents from UiTM Raub were chosen as the sample. The range of the respondents are between 18 years to 25 years old, and 26 years and above. Spearman’s rho and descriptive analysis of the variable of the study suggested that there are several factors influencing the study which are gender, age, status and the native land of the respondents. The results also indicated that the residents of UiTM Raub thinks that all females should get married at a young age. made it possible to us draw important information in UiTM Raub . FACTORS THABTUINYIFNLGUEINNC-SETOCRUESTGOAMDEGREPTREFERENCE IN Fatin Norfarisha Rosman*, Siti Asma Mohamad Tohir, Nur Elissa Syazrina Zulkepli, Ainin Sofiya Rusfahizan Abstract: Technology has become the most powerful and indispensable tools among people and the way people make purchases also has changed due to the revolution in technology. Most people nowadays prefer to buy gadget online rather than offline. However, there are still people who are uncomfortable with such purchasing method since they are afraid of being fooled by the retailer. Hence, the aim of this study is to describe how the customer preference in buying in-store gadget is influenced by factors such as customer experience, timeliness, after sales service and perceived value. There are four objectives developed between the dependent variable and the independent variable which are; to identify the relationship between the customers’preference in buying gadget in-store in terms of customer experience, timeliness, after sales service and perceived value. A set of questionnaire was given to each of 331 respondents residing in UiTM Cawangan Pahang Kampus Raub. The Spearman’s Rank Correlation and Chi-Square Test of Independence or Association were used to examine the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variables. The results show that there is a significant relationship between the consumer preference in terms of customer experience, timeliness, after sales service and perceived value. To sum up, all the independent variables have significant relationships between the dependent variable. FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE CGPA OF A STUDENT Harith Farhan, Tengku Arif Haikal, Siti Maryam, Muhammad Syaffiq , Muhammad Farhan ABSTRACT Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) is a system that records the data on a students’ average GPA every semester. A CGPA is a calculation of the average of all of a student's total earned points divided by the possible amount of points. This grading system calculates for all of his/her complete education career. The purpose of this system is to measure the performance of a student in academic and to measure the consistency of their performance. The purpose of this study is to explore how some factors such as sleep, study skills, peers and social media could influence a students’ CGPA. This study used simple random sampling and stratified sampling technique and direct approach as the data collection method. 248 respondents of semester four on five major courses in University Technology MARA Raub campus, Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Business Management and Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy participated in this study. There are several factors that the researcher found by applying Spearmen correlation and crosstab all the factors is significant toward CGPA (tak faham). This study also found that the smartphone usage is the highest factor (65.3%) while the lowest are peer (36%).  The findings of this study will be presented to the upper management of UITM Raub so that further action can be taken to improve students’CGPA in the future. Academic performance is defined by the outcome of the education which a student, teacher or institution has achieved their educational goals. In producing the best graduate who will become the future leader and manpower for the country, the students’academic performance plays an important role. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the type of school affects academic performance, to determine whether peers influence affect the academic performance, to identify the study habit that influence academic performance and to determine whether the influence of teaching effectiveness effect the academic performance. This study used stratified sampling technique and direct approach as the data collection method. The study population are 340 respondents out of 2616 students on three major programme in University Technology MARA Raub Campus, which are Faculty of Computer and Mathematical Science, Faculty of Business Management and Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy. All the factors (study habit, peers influence, teaching skills) are significant towards academic performance but there is no significant relationship between the type of school and academic performance. This study also found that the percentage of students that attends single gender school is 7.62% and the percentage of students that attend coeducational school is 92.38%. Therefore, students can attend any type of school whether single gender school or coeducational school but they need to have study schedule, choose the right friends and focus in class.
