The talk highlighted the various aspects of career decision making. Our students participated enthusiastically in the proactive session\". 1

It’s with great pleasure to announce that the Jury has decided to honour Mr. Paramjit Ahluwalia, Principal of Dunes International School with the Education Leadership Award 2019. The award is presented to an individual who has crafted leadership with his work and thinking. The award indicates excellence in ap- plication of leadership principles to business sit- uations. The Award ceremony will be held on 10th October, 2019. 2

World Tourism day - ‘Around the world @ Dunes’ Tourism is the best teacher on the planet. The reason for World Tourism Day is to cultivate and create awareness among the society globally on the significance of tourism, and it’s social, political, financial and also cultural worth and value. The theme was \"Tourism and its delightfulness\". On this memorable occasion, our Dunites represented their classes with a ‘states of India’. Each class has been decorated with best tourism states of India with its culture and monuments. Students explained the importance of the states, its culture, tradition, food and souvenir. They exhibited about each state with full enthusiasm. It was a wonderful learning experience for each one them.Parents were invited to admire the learning of our tiny Dunites. 10

World Tourism Day World Tourism Day was cele- brated through out the school. Grades celebrated depicting different countries. Its purpose is to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic value. 11

English Students were able to use the beginning consonant ‘r’ blends to read, write , frame sentences and to relate it with their daily life. 16

Mathematics Students demonstrated their understanding of numbers in relation to tens and ones and number names through different hand on activities .Using technology for learning within their classrooms also enhanced their numeracy skills. 18

Science Students related the metamorphosis of a frog to butterfly and named in order, sequenced it with picture cards , the different stages of a frog’s life cycle. 20

Arabic Learning additional languages increases critical thinking skills, creativity and flexibility. Stu- dents traced the letter ’seen’ and then wrote independently on ICT boards and worksheet. 22

Library By providing access to a rich library, promotes greater amounts of read- ing, increase reading frequency and more diverse reading experiences among the students, thus helping them to attain greater levels of read- ing achievement. Kindergarten Dunites enjoy reading books in the library. 23

Swimming and Physical Education To make our kindergarteners energetic and healthy they are exposed to swimming and PE clas- ses every week. It helps their development of gross motor skills. Swimming provides a multitude of physical and mental benefits. It allows the child to develop water safety and survival skills .This week Kindergarten students learnt bubbling, and breathing skills. 24
