Competitions Guidelines

PICEklaban sa online games MLBB, COD, & VALORANT 1. This competition is to be participated by bona fide BS Civil Engineering students of Batangas State University regardless of their gender (open for all). 2. Registration is open until February 19, 2022 at 11:59PM. 3. Officers of PICE/ACES BatStateU are not allowed to join the competition. 4. There will be no registration fee for these online game competitions. But participants must be paid in the ACES Fee. 5. The first twelve (12) teams to register consisting of five (5) to six (6) members are the only teams that are eligible to join the competition. 6. No changing of players. Only registered players will be accepted. 7. There are no restrictions about ranks, skins, and internet connectivity. 8. Match rescheduling is not permitted. Matches must be played at the scheduled time of the game. Failed to play at the scheduled time will be automatically disqualified. 9. The competition will be a single-round elimination. 10. Participants should prepare their devices and ensure they have a stable internet connection. In case of disconnection, the game will still continue whether the player reconnects or not. 11. Each team will be given ten (10) minutes only to prepare before the match-up. Failure to do so will result in an automatic win to their opponent.

12. Squad members must type “CE” during the game if the squad wants to pause. Each team will be given a maximum of two (2) pauses and will automatically resume after two (2) minutes. 13. The final round will be a best-of-three series and will be broadcasted “Live” on ACES Facebook Page. 14. The Battle for 3rd will be a single match-up. 15. Strictly no trash talking and no foul words in the game proper. 16. A Certificate of Participation will be given to the participating teams. First, second, and third placers will receive a Certificate of Recognition and a cash prize. 1st Placer Php 1,200.00 2nd Placer Php 1,000.00 3rd Placer Php 800.00 17. A Certificate of Recognition and a cash prize will be awarded for the Most Valuable Player in each competition. 18. In case of any dispute, the committee’s decision shall be deemed final and irrevocable. Requirements: 1. Team Name 2. Team Logo 3. Individual Pictures (PNG, No Background) The link of the google drive folder will be then released after the final list of teams.

PICEklaban sa KANTAHAN VOCAL SOLO COMPETITION 1. This competition is to be participated by bona fide BS Civil Engineering students of Batangas State University. 2. Registration is open until February 19, 2022 at 11:59PM. 3. Participants may register through Google form https://bit.ly/CivilWarRegistration 4. Officers of PICE/ACES BatStateU are not allowed to join the competition. 5. There will be no registration fee but participants must be paid in the ACES Fee. 6. Participants must send one pre-recorded video and audio of their song choice. 7. Submission of entries is open until February 22, 2022 at 11:59PM. 8. Interested participant will receive an email or text message confirming their participation in the PICEklaban sa Kantahan. 9. The output should be in landscape orientation in MP4 Format. Output must be uploaded on a Google Drive Link https://bit.ly/CW2022_VocalSolo with a file name format: Title of Entry – Name.

11. The management will be sending an email or text message for the final result of the pre-judging. 12. Top 3 will be chosen from all the participants and will move forward to the final’s day presenting their piece on Mr. & Ms. Civil War 2022. 13. Winners will be announced on the same day. 14. The winners of the said contest will receive a Certificate of Recognition with the following prizes: 1st Placer: Php 700.00 2nd Placer: Php 500.00 3rd Placer: Php 300.00

PICEklaban sa tugtugan ACOUSTIC BAND COMPETITION 1. This competition is to be participated by bona fide BS Civil Engineering students of Batangas State University. 2. Registration is open until February 19, 2022 at 11:59PM. 3. Participants may register through Google form https://bit.ly/CivilWarRegistration 4. Officers of PICE/ACES BatStateU are not allowed to join the competition. 5. There will be no registration fee but participants must be paid in the ACES Fee. 6. This is a pre-recorded group competition with each year level having 1-2 official participants. Recorded materials must be free from copyright infringement. 7. Each group must have a minimum of two (2) members and a maximum of six (6) members. The members can come from different year levels. 8. Submission of entries is open until February 22, 2022 at 11:59PM. 9. Interested participant will receive an email or text message confirming their participation in the PICEklaban sa Tugtugan. 10. There must only be one (1) output video for each group. 11. Each participant will cover one song (either Original Pilipino Music or International Songs) with a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 4 minutes recorded video inclusive of: a. Opening billboard which contains the name of the band and the title of the song to be covered b. Recorded performance c. End credits (band members and their band position) and acknowledgment if any.

12. The band/group may create their own acoustic rendition of any song. Vulgar language is not allowed. 13. Use of electronic instruments such as electric guitars (drum set as well) is prohibited. However, the use of keyboard/piano is allowed. 14. To ensure that the participants adhere to the community quarantine guidelines, gathering together for the purpose of recording is strongly discouraged. 15. Editing or fabrication of the audio of the recorded video performance is not allowed. 16. The output should be in landscape orientation in MP4 Format. Output must be uploaded on a Google Drive Link https://bit.ly/CW2022_AcousticBand with a file name format: Title of Entry – Name of Band. 17. The management will be sending an email or text message for the final result of the pre-judging. 18. Top 3 will be chosen from all the participants and will move forward to the final’s day presenting their piece on Mr. & Ms. Civil War 2022. 19. Winners will be announced on the same day. 20. The winners of the said contest will receive a Certificate of Recognition with the following prizes: 1st Placer: Php 1,200.00 2nd Placer: Php 1,000.00 3rd Placer: Php 800.00

PICEklaban sa TULAAN SPOKEN WORD POETRY 1. This competition is to be participated by bona fide BS Civil Engineering students of Batangas State University. 2. Registration is open until February 19, 2022 at 11:59PM. 3. Participants may register through Google form https://bit.ly/CivilWarRegistration 4. Officers of PICE/ACES BatStateU are not allowed to join the competition. 5. There will be no registration fee but participants must be paid in the ACES Fee. 6. This is a pre-recorded individual competition with each year level having 1-2 official participants. Recorded materials must be free from copyright infringement. 7. Submission of entries is open until February 22, 2022 at 11:59PM. 8. Interested participant will receive an email or text message confirming their participation in the PICEklaban sa Tuluan. 9. The topic for this contest is “The end of the World as We Know It“ which based on the theme of the CIVIL WAR 2022: The CE Virtual Intramurals. 10. There must only be one (1) output video for each participant. The piece must be an original work.

11. Each participant will prepare a minimum of 2 minutes and a maximum of 3 minutes recorded video inclusive of: a. Opening billboard which contains the name of the contestant and the title of the entry b. Recorded performance (the piece should be recorded continuously without any cuts) c. End credits/acknowledgment if any. 12. Language to be used may be English or Filipino. Subtitles must be included and adding of background music is allowed. 13. Vulgar costumes and language are not allowed. 14. To ensure that the participants adhere to the community quarantine guidelines, filming in crowded places is strongly discouraged. 15. The output should be in landscape orientation in MP4 Format. Output must be uploaded on a Google Drive Link https://bit.ly/CW2022_Spoken with a file name format: Title of Entry – Name. 16. The management will be sending an email or text message for the final result of the pre-judging. 17. Top 3 will be chosen from all the participants and will move f orward to the final’s day presenting their piece on Mr. & Ms. Civil War 2022. 18. Winners will be announced on the same day. 19. PICEklaban sa SAYAWAN SOLO DANCE COMPETITION 1. This competition is to be participated by bona fide BS Civil Engineering students of Batangas State University. 2. Registration is open until February 19, 2022 at 11:59PM. 3. Participants may register through Google form https://bit.ly/CivilWarRegistration 4. Officers of PICE/ACES BatStateU are not allowed to join the competition. 5. There will be no registration fee but participants must be paid in the ACES Fee. 6. There must only be one (1) output / performance video for each participant. 7. Each participant will prepare a minimum of two (2) minutes and maximum of three (3) minutes recorded video inclusive of: a. Opening billboard which contains the name of the contestant b. Recorded performance (the routine should be recorded continuously without any cuts) c. End credits/acknowledgment if any. 8. Submission of entries is open until February 22, 2022 at 11:59PM. 9. Interested participant will receive an email or text message confirming their participation in the PICEklaban sa Sayawan. 10. Participants are free to choose any music for their piece. Adding special effects on the video that could disrupt the choreography is not allowed.

11. The participants are free to choose their own genre and costume. Remix or edited music is allowed. 12. Vulgar costumes and music are not allowed. 13. To ensure that the participants adhere to the community quarantine guidelines, gathering together for the purpose of recording is strongly discouraged. 14. The output should be an original choreography to be submitted in landscape orientation in MP4 Format. Output must be uploaded on a Google Drive Link https://bit.ly/CW2022_SoloDance with a file name format: Title of Entry – Name. 15. The management will be sending an email or text message for the final result of the pre-judging. 16. Top 3 will be chosen from all the participants and will move forward to the final’s day presenting their piece on Mr. & Ms. Civil War 2022. 17. Winners will be announced on the same day. 18. The winners of the said contest will receive a Certificate of Recognition with the following prizes: 1st Placer: Php 700.00 2nd Placer: Php 500.00 3rd Placer: Php 300.00
