Museum Design Intentions Located at the intersection of Division and Halsted, this site extends along the river’s edge. The Eastern branch of Goose Island is rarely dredged and sees little traffic. This provides a unique opportunity to introduce a wetland park that restores the riparian zone. Our team took our previous studies of sensing light and touching shadow and began to imagine what it would be like to create a gallery embedded in this natural landscape by casting architecture.

The model making process began as a collage for exploring building materials. The deployment of our grid system casts a series of patterns into the place where art is made and displayed. Slate, clay and other ephemeral objects were assembled to capture the materiality of the building and spirit of the architecture. Museum Models

Campus Master Plan In attempts to with SANNA develop the Brownsville neighbourhood and as part of the SANAA exhibition for the Chicago Architecture Biannual for 2017, we have worked on a urban plans as part of a big master plan including 4 loops that piece together the neighbourhood again and attempt to bring more life to it.

I mainly focused on the life of campus it’s quads, housing, and sewing the academic and living part of the campus together while building up state street and allowing permeable transparency through the campus while accentuating the axes on campus defined previously by Rem Koolhaas’s McCormick Student Centre. in an effort to reimagine the campus, its position and its integration in the neighbourhood. Master Plan Proposal Diagram The site underneath the train was proposed to be a pedestrian artery for the campus defined by buildings opening on it from both sides and having points where that promenade would branch out to other campus nodes

The buildings were designed to be mixed used with dormitories and designed in a way that keeps the promenade transparent to the outside while at the same time clearly defining it as a private pedestrian axis for the campus that connects the buildings along it both visually and in function Master Plan Renders
