Bless theLord O my soul and forget not all his benefits (Psalm 103:1-2). We thank God Almighty who inHis infinite mercies has accorded us the privilege to be alive for another synod year. Archdeaconry Report Pastoric week: Effurun West Archdeaconry's Pastoric week commenced from 6th – 12th October, 2014 with the Theme “Oh God fight my battle” and the text was taken from ISam 17:45. In the programme, members spiritual lives were lifted up as many guest preachers were invited to do justice to the topic. The Archdeaconry realized the sum of Five hundred and forty four thousand, eight hundred and fifteen naira only (N544,815) Home cell fellowship: The home cells around our archdeaconry are doing well. As the home cell communiqué was issued, many members became serious and that has led to increase in the number of members. New home cells are being created. Confirmation: St Stephen's Church, Jakpa hosted the confirmation in the period under review on 21st September, 2014 and the total of Seventy five members were confirmed, 19 members were made Father's Union, 14 Mother's Union, 35 Women's Guild and 29 Girls Guild. We thank God for its success and we appreciate our Bishop, Rt. Revd. C.E. Ide for performing this Episcopal visit every year. The Revd. Faith Aghe was transferred from the Archdeaconry as members of the church of Epiphany whose homes were destroyed by the army relocated from the barrack.b. REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.God is doing a new thing in St Stephen's through the Divine appointment programme, awoman who was married for up to eight years without a child and almost four years withoutseeing her monthly circle got pregnant without monthly circle and the baby has beendedicated.The Monday deliverance programme is still going on very well. The 40days programme of lentis well organized and attended by members, this has lifted members spiritual lives.o Project: The school storey building has been completed with the sum of Five million four hundred and eighty four thousand six hundred naira (N5,484,600) and has been dedicated by his Lordship the Rt. Revd. C.E. Ide on October 24th, 2014. We appreciate our bishop.In the year under review, the church bought a utility Carina car for the smooth running of thechurch.o Charitable work The church spent about One million three hundred and forty one thousand nine hundred and thirty naira(1,341,130) for charity. Some of the major beneficiaries are;i. A Widow that was sick and was taken to the following hospitals; St. Andrew's hospital, Oghara teaching hospital, UBTH Benin and finally to Federal Medical Centre Asaba where she was finally treated and she is now healthy.ii. A Widow that had breast cancer and was sent to the hospital for the breast to be removed and the treatment is still on. She has passed through three stages and on her final stage now. She needs our prayers and financial support. We also thank the Lord Bishop for his contribution towards her treatment financially and spiritually. We are grateful.iii. A Widow has been assisted to pay her daughter's admission fee into University of port- Harcourt.iv. Through the food bank of the church, the less privileged are cared for.v. A Widow's three children were given scholarship from primary 1-6 in St. Stephen's school.vi. More than One million was raised to build a temporary structure for the Epiphany church that was demolished by the soldiers on their permanent site.o Women organizationo The women with their zeal and commitment carried out all the diocesan programmes as planned centrally by the diocesan women office. They also carried out all their local programmes effectively. Worthy of note is the one week Revival programme organized by the women with the theme “Be fruitful” to begin the year. It was so colourful.The general women of the church has embarked on a project of building an upstairs which isat decking level for Day Care Centre in the St. Stephen's school compound. REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.The annual Put-a-smile programme of the women was also held in a grand style. About 98new wrappers were given to the widows, less privileged and the aged. About 15big bags and50half bags of rice were distributed with tomatoes and groundnut oil. Everything put togetherwill amount to seven hundred and thirty four thousand nine hundred naira (N734, 900). Wethank the donors of some of the materials.About two hundred and ten people benefited both members and non members. It was reallyputting a smile programme and all were happy.o Evangelical groups: All the evangelical groups, AAPS, EFAC, AYF and MEC took part fully in the church programmes and their group activities during the period under review. The AAPS members carried out a Crusade outreach in the Christ church 7Up environment to boost the members of that church though no convert was won, the church was revived.o Donationi. The general women of the church donated one computer to St. Stephen's schoolii. Three other computers were also donated by unanimous donors.iii. Altar gate was donated to the church by Barr. Ukpedor of Ughelli Diocese.iv. A member donated Muowa machine for the maintenance of the church field.v. A member donated 50 half bags of rice to aid the Put-a-smile programme.·Church of the EpiphanyLast year we reported that the church has not recovered from the shock of the displacement ofabout two third of her membership. It is sad to know that on the 16th of January 2015, thechurch building was totally demolished by the army, including the workers residentialapartment that was attached to the church building. The church has been relocated to a plotalong Sapele road outside the mechanic village. The few worshippers remaining worshippedin open air for some weeks before they manage to put up a structure temporarily which is alsonot yet completed.St. Stephen's church has raised more than One million naira to support the building of a betterstructure on the land.The church worker posted to the church is being accommodated by St. Stephen's church.We solicit for financial help from Synod members gathered to enable us make that structure agood place to worship God. This isas a result of the Revival programmes organized by the church workers. The 40days Lentenprogramme is also being observed by the church members.AchievementsIn the period under review, the church has acquired 20 Choir robs, new pairs of Speakers anda Wardrobe all together amounted to One hundred and ninety one thousand naira(N191,000). We are also grateful to God who has enable us to refund the sum of Two millionsix hundred and sixty thousand naira (N2, 660,000) from the loan of Five million naira given tous by the diocese.CharityThe sum of Fifty one thousand two hundred naira was spent to help those that were in need·Christ Church, 7UpThis church is a baby church and it is two years old. Though the people are few, they arespiritually sound as they carry out Crusade, fasting and prayers accompany by testimonies.The challenge is how to get a permanent site. EKPAN ARCHDEACONRY SYNOD REPORT FOR THE PERIOD APRIL 2014 TO MARCH 2015 SUBMITTED TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD OF THE DIOCESE OF WARRI HELD AT ST. MATTHEW'S CHURCH, OKPARA WATERSIDE FROM SATURDAY 2ND- WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY, 2015.My Lord Bishop,House of clergy & laity,Synod delegates,Ladies and gentlemen.1.0 Preamble: I must again shower praises on God and on my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ for His abundant Love and care – May His name be praised forever. Amen.2.0 Evangelism: Churches and groups took part in carrying out evangelistic crusade and witnessing in Ekpan area. Anglican Church Commissioner Road now The Transfiguration Church in conjunction with A.A.P.S Ekpan group carried out a two-day crusade on 12th-13th December 2014 where 4 souls were won to Christ. The church of the Resurrection also carried out a two-day crusade titled “Behold he comes with His glory” on 13th and 14th March 2014 where 3 souls were also won for Christ. Two by two evangelism, Care Evangelism, Morning Watch, Revivals and other indoor and outdoor programmes were effectively employed by groups and churches in this Archdeaconry to compliment the open air crusade.3.0 Home Cell Programme: This programme is very much alive in the Archdeaconry. Ekpan Area meets on every Friday at St. Peter's Church for equipping class at 5p.m. The synods formulary and injunction on “No home cell attendance no vote into PCC”, has added a new life and impetus to the programme.4.0 Food Bank: Churches in this Archdeaconry are encouraged from time to time to keep food items in their food bank. Towards this point, St. Peter's Ekpan keeps rice, oil and garri in her food bank always. Most members however, feel very shy to ask for food items from our food bank leaving it to outsiders in most cases.5.0 Women Work: The women are very active in this Archdeaconry. The women at St. Peter's church bought a bus in the year under review. However, for no serious reason some women spear headed the return of the bus back to the vehicle dealer promising to buy a new and better one but hitherto a better one has not been bought and only N500, 000.00 has been recovered from the dealer. This incident took place in July 2014. The church P.C.C has since stepped into the issue.6.0 2014 Pastoric Week: This was carried out with a powerful revival programme in June 2014. All the churches in this Archdeaconry fully participated and more than N500, 000.00 was realized. REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.7.0 REPORTS FROM CHURCHES7.1 St. Peter's Church Ekpan: This church acquired 40 new pews during the year under review. Through the help of two donors two stair-way doors and vestry doors were fixed in the new church building at the cost of N168, 000.00. At the time of writing this report the church is aiming at ceiling the new church. Towards this end over N2, 000,000 has been reserved. This church also acquired a new gen set at N100, 000. This church spent over N500, 000 on charity.7.2 St. Andrew's Anglican Church New-Layout: The Church new building has been raised to gallery stage with over N1m spent on it in the year under review. However, the government has placed a stay of action on the development of the building recently due to the fact that the building plan was not originally approved. The process of the approval has been kicked started. This church also visited the orphanage, the widows & needy and gave them food materials.7.3 The Church of the Resurrection Ekpan: This church lost her musical instruments worth over one hundred thousand to thieves who broke in into the church at night. A Good Samaritan replaced them single handedly – may God bless him. A court case instituted against this church over land matters is still pending in court. Meaningful progress has not been made. Meanwhile, moves are being made to settle the matter out of court.7.4 The Transfiguration Church Commissioner Road: This church was named by the Lord Bishop in the year under review. The perennial flooding which the church has been facing over the years was brought to an end when a brother sand-filled the church with N150, 000.00. The church has started experiencing growth in membership. UGBORIKOKO ARCHDEACONRY SYNOD REPORT FOR THE PERIOD APRIL 2014 TO MARCH 2015 SUBMITTED TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD OF THE DIOCESE OF WARRI HELD AT ST. MATTHEW'S ANGLICAN CHURCH OKPARA WATER SIDE FROM SATURDAY 2ND – WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY, 2015My Lord Bishop,Hon. Chancellor,The Registrar,Diocesan Officials,House of Clergy and Laity,Distinguished Ladies And Gentlemen.1. INTRODUCTION We are grateful to the Almighty God for His mercies, favour and Grace upon the Archdeaconry. “God moves in a mysterious way, His wonders to perform” (A&M 181 vs 1). May His name be glorified forever and ever. Amen. We wish the President of Synod, the Rt. Rev. Christian Ide and the entire synod delegates a successful synod in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.2. GENERAL REPORT We thank God that in spite of the several challenges of the Archdeaconry; we bless God for his faithfulness. Throughout the year under review, all activities of the Archdeaconry and Diocese were duly carried out. Board meetings were held as at when due. The Archdeaconry through the AAPS held a two day crusade at the back of the Air-port and some lapse members of the churches St. Matthias' and Holy Trinity were revived. The Archdeaconry prayer band held all-night in churches quarterly. The pastoral week of the period under review was very rewarding and the Archdeaconry painted the office of the F.O and bought a computer and its table and chair for the convenience of the F.O's office from the amount of money realized. The one week pastoral activities featured revivals and seminars to boost the spiritual life of the people. The year 2014 confirmation created a big history as the lord Bishop, the father of the Diocese announced a donation of N20, 000 for himself and N300, 000 on behalf of the Diocese to boost the vicarage work of St. James Church Odibo Avenue. He who has a father must also have a mother; our mother in Israel in her mother capacity gave a personal donation of N10, 000 and N90, 000 on behalf of the women. We thank the lord Bishop and our mother in Israel for the wonderful history that a confirmation service was turned to a launching and over N500, 000 was realized. As at the time of this report the one bedroom side of the vicarage building is at the lintel level.3. REPORT FROM CHURCHES(A) ST. MATTHIAS' CHURCH UGBORIKOKO The restructuring of the Church whose foundation was laid before last year synod is still in progress. The vicarage also received attention in the period under review. The first stair case was placed tiled and the Curate apartment was rewired, plastered and painted. A bed and foam were also added. The Church got a new marble lectern within the period. The food bank of the Church now holds every third Sunday of the Month 'tagged HOSPITALITY SUNDAY' to add more seriousness to the system. Through the food bank and the church welfare committee the needs of some of the members were met. The sum of N300, 000 was spent on charity work in the period under review. The church under the period under review strengthened the spiritual life of the people through Evangelical Outreach to the community, Breakthrough Prayer, Morning Dew, Anointing Service, Covenant Prayers, Bible Study, Divine Intervention and Monthly revivals and all-night prayer to revive and keep the members to be spiritually alert. The Home cell, Youth Work, AAPS, ACM, Women Organization and Men Organization (Men Fellowship and fathers Union) were all active and waxing stronger.(B) ST. JOHN'S CHURCH, UGBOROKE The church of the St. John's is growing both physical and spiritually. In the period under review the church achieved a lot through individuals, groups, clans, Ethnic Nationalities and family donations. A new Guitar, Combo speaker, keyboard were bought for the worship of the Almighty God. The church building windows were changed to the modern type in Vogue and the vicarage chairs were refurnished and new curtains were bought to replace the old ones. The old church lectern was also refurnished. The church embarked on Evangelical Outreach to reach out to the immediate community and the church Bible Study, Faith Clinic, Divine Encounter, Revivals and Night Vigil were enhanced to revive the souls of members. The Women Organization, men fellowship, fathers' Union, the AYF, ACM, AAPS are all waxing stronger on a daily basis.(C) TRIUMPHANT CHURCH OVONOMO, UGBORIKOKO The church in the period under review carried out all its programmes of Evangelism, Revival, Bible Study and All-night prayers successfully. There were some new developments in the church during the period. The church is now registered for marriage; it hosted the Archdeaconry men Fellowship Convention. The Home Cell, ACM, AYF and the Women Organization are well co-ordinated and all the programme and services are given positive result to the church spiritual and physical growth.(D) ST. JAMES ODIBO AVENUE – ENEHREN The church is gradually getting her footing. Within the period under review the church had done well. The church building has been greatly improved on and a well built altar had been added. All honour and glory to His holy name forever.2.0 ARCHDEACONRY PROGRAMMES:2.1 2014 Pastoric Week: This was done throughout the Archdeaconry from Monday, 7th – Sunday, 13th July, 2014 with the theme, “pulling Down The Strongholds” (2 Cor. 10:4). The programme was of a tremendous blessing to all members that attended. The sum of Nine hundred and sixty eight thousand, five hundred and twenty naira (N968,520.00) was realized (Net Income).2.2 Revival: The Archdeaconry embarked on a week long revival from Monday 1st to Sunday 7th December,2014 with the theme: “Divine Restoration. It features sound biblical teachings, talk, exposition, breaking of curses and healing ministration.2.3 Home Cell: The Home Cell is growing stronger. With the new directive from his lordship many members are now scrambling to belong to one.2.4 Food Bank: The Food Bank is still struggling in this Archdeaconry. Many membersrefuse to key into it. Notwithstanding, with the few response some persons have beenaffected positively.2.5 Men Fellowship: Every effort is being put in place to make it more effective. A Chaplain in person of Revd. Canon O.S. Ojukoko has been appointed for this fellowship.2.6 Evangelism: The Archdeaconry carried out a crusade at Ugbo-Dede in January 17th and 18th,2015 with seven (7) converts won. A Church is planted there already. The AAPS Warri Zone organized a very powerful crusade at Obodo with many converts won in August 8th to 10th 2014 with the theme, “In a Time Like This”. May God continue to bless the leadership of AAPS in Jesus name. May God bless their endeavours.2.8 Survey Plan Directive: Consequent to the Diocesan directive that all Church land must be surveyed, the Archdeaconry has sponsored the survey of the land of our Saviour's Anglican Church at Ukpokiti and that of St. Matthew's Church, Oteghele.2.9 Appreciation: The Archdeaconry Board wish to thank his lordship, the Rt. Revd. C.E. Ide for his magnimity for providing over a Hundred Thousand naira (N100,000.00) to appreciate Orere-Oluba community for the piece of land, they graciously gave to build the Church free of charge. Our appreciation also goes to the Council of Nights, Warri Diocese and Sir Abulu for his doggedness towards procuring a safe place of worship for Churches in the riverine areas particularly in the Itsekiri axis.3.0 REPORTS FROM CHURCHES: We have nine Churches in this Archdeaconry and by the grace of God a new one has been added that is the Anglican Church, Ugbo-Dede.3.1 ST. PETER'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, IGBUDU-WARRI: Glory be to God, for the period under review, St. Peter's was able to carry out her usual activities of mid-week Bible Study, Wednesday Divine Encounter, Fasting & Prayer, and Welfare to members.a) Revival Programme: Lent (40 days programme) 2014 commenced on Wednesday, 5th March and ended 13th April, 2014 with the theme, “Divine Settlement”. It was heart searching programme with healing and deliverance that accompanied it. This was presided by a Holy week Revival from Monday 14th to Wednesday 16th 2014 with the theme, “I have seen the Lord”. Mrs. P.O.E. Ide (Mother-in-Israel) and Mrs. Ulonma Onyekuru ministered. Apart from the ones mentioned earlier, very eminent ministers of the Word of God were resource persons in course of St. Peter's Week of Revival with the Rt. Rev. C.O. Odutemu (Bishop of Ughelli Diocese), Ven. Justice Okoronkwo (Jos Diocese) from Monday 2nd to Sunday 8th June,2014. Three days dry fasting and prayer with the theme, “I cannot Remain Like This”; three nights of Glory and a Crossover Revival from 28th to 31st December was organized. These far reaching revivals have increased the congregational strength and spiritual awareness of the Church.b) Welfare: The welfare of members was taken as a priority. The women Put-A-Smile welfare package for widows and the aged is impacting positively on the Church.e) Mission & Evangelism Committee: The Committee is working hard. The AAPS, AYF, EFAC, ACM, Brigades – BB,GB &AGB, amongst others are doing wonderfully well.f) Home Cell: The Home Cell Fellowship is striving well.g) Projects: The Church expansion is near completion. Over N17,000,000.00 has been spent so far.h) Land Acquisition: The Church was able to acquire a land of 100 by 100 with a dilapidated building on it at the cost of N13,500,000.00. The work on the deed is on going.i) Youth Programme: The AYF, Precious stones, Girls Guild, G.B, B.B and A.B.G carried out their programme, from National, Diocesan to Parishlevel were done successfully. A Youth forum was held on 22nd March,2015. All the youth participated. Wonderful recommendations were made for the leadership of the Church to ponder over to better our youth.j) Disposition of Clergy: On 30th June,2014, the Revd. J.G.O. Imudje and Revd. L.U.P. Obibi were transferred to St. Andrew's Cathedral and the church of the Redeemer respectively, while the Revd. B.A. Omoko and Revd. J.O. Umukoro were brought to replace them. We are grateful to his lordship for this transfer.3.2 CHURCH OF THE TRANSFIGURATION, IYARA:By the grace of God, the Church is growing numerically and finanicially, through revivals andevangelism. The home cell ministry is in full operation.The activities of the Fathers' Union, Mothers' Union, Men Fellowship, Women Guild, Girls'Guild, A.YF., A.C.M. A.A.P.S and Boys Brigade are moving smoothly. Major constraint of theChurch is the relocation or moving of members to their building, but we thank God for them.The certificate of ownership of the land has not come, that is why we have not start the newChurch building.3.3 ALL SOUL'S ANGLICAN CHURCH, URHOBO ROAD, WARRI:This Church by the grace of God is growing spiritually and numerically with an average of 70members through evangelism, revival and home cell. The Church began the year withwilderness programme for the first seven days and every Wednesday of the forty days fastingprogramme in the year under review.In the period under review, the Church carried out maintenance of her floor and painting of theChurch wall which amounted toN23,850.00. Also the welfare of members were taken care ofsuch that food worth N15,000.00 were bought for widows and the needy during the Christmasseason while the sum of N33,000.00 was spent on the sick and empowerment of members.A fundraising for the purchase of a land was done and a total sum of N148,000.00 cash wasrealized with other promises. REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.§ Needs/Challenges: The major need of the Church is money to purchase a land to build her permanent place of worship.3.4 OUR SAVIOUR'S CHURCH, UKPOKITI: The members of this Mission Church whole heartedly thank the Almighty God for His loving kidness towards them in the year under review. May His name be praise forever. Amen. The Church activities in this period include Bible Study, Revival and weekly breakthrough prayers. They also go out for evangelism mostly in the morning, and with these the Church is touching lives in the area. Warri Archdeaconry General Women donated the sum of one hundred thousand naira (N100,000.00) to rebuild the part of the Church that collapse. Mrs. Comfort Edeki donated mixer amplifier worth N29,000.00 to the Church. Also during their harvest, the chairman of the harvest was touched by what God is doing in the riverine area and he gave the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira (N250,000.00) as his contribution towards the Church building project.§ Needs: The Church is in dire need of a generator to provide electrical power for the amplifier already donated as there is no light in the community. They also need finance to complete the Church building project. They are soliciting for individual and the Diocese support in this regard.3.5 ST. JOHN'S CHURCH, ODE-ITSEKIRI: The Church is in the riverine area. A new Catechist in person of Mr. Maxwell Egbejule has been posted there to man the Church. Since his arrival the Church is growing numerically and spiritually through Bible study, Revivals, Night vigils, Home Cell feloowship and house to house witnessing within the community and the neighboring villages (Inorin, Ajagba, Usele and Ugbo-dede).§ Challenges/Need: The Church is in dire need of Land.3.6 ST. PAUL'S CHURCH, OMADINO: This Church carried out the following activities in the year under review. Bible study, fasting & prayer, breakfast with the Lord programme, children Bible club and home cell fellowship every Sunday. Ash Wednesday programme was also observed to mark the beginning of the Lenten Season. The women meet once in every month for their prayer meetings. The women Conference was held from 13th – 15th February,2015 with Mrs. Okeoghene Ojukoko as their resource person. The Girl's Guild activities are not fully in place yet as a result of most of them being in School. The Council of Knight, Warri Diocese held a crusade on the 1st November,2014, where six (6) converts were won. The most eldest man in the community is among them. The Council of Knights also made it possible for His Lordship, Rt. Revd. C.E. PETER'S CHURCH, OBODO: This Mission Church is still striving. The spiritual activities embarked upon during the period under review include Bible Study, house to house visitation and evangelism, fasting & prayer, home cell fellowship and a revival programme tagged, “ Morning Touch with Jesus”. In the period under review the AAPS organized a three days crusade at Obodo community on 29th – 31st August, 2014, with 14 souls won. This has help to strengthen the Church. May God bless the AAPS abundantly.§ Challenge/Need: The Church needs two million six hundred thousand naira (N2.6m) to pay for a Land.3.8 ST. PHILIP'S CHURCH, ORERE-ULUBA: The Church is waxing strong with increase in membership. To God be the glory. The activities include evangelism drive and visitation, Revival & all-night, Home cell fellowship has two cells groups named Home A and Home B. The Church Agent has established a prayer meeting for the women. The women went out for outreach, visitation, and provide welfare assistance to some member of the community. Warri Diocese with the help of the Bishop in collaboration with MEC has givewn the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira (N250,000.00) to the Church for development. The money was used to build a temporal place of worship.§ Challenge/Need: The Church needs money to fence the Church Land.3.9 OTEGHELE CHURCH:We give thanks to God Almighty for his lovely kindness and care toward the Church in the yearunder review. He has put downthe mighty from their thrones, and exalted the lowly”(Lk 1:51-52).GENERAL REPORT OF THE ARCHDEACONRYDuring the year under review, the Archdeaconry functioned maximally as expected of her.Board meetings were held regularly and the staff meeting were held from time to time, toreview our work in the Archdeaconry. All the churches participated in all the programmesespecially Ephphatha, an annual programme in the month of September. The Lenten periodwas also observed as a period of revival in all the Churches in the Archdeaconry. TheArchdeaconry hosted the Diocesan Finance Board and some other Diocesan events duringthe year under review. Our confirmation service was held in the month of October at the GoodShepherd Church. Home Cell fellowship is encouraging as members are getting used to it. Itis interesting to note that the first retirement service conducted by the Diocese was hosted bythis Archdeaconry on the 14th Day of March, 2015. at the Good Shepherd Church for Rev andMrs James O. Odiete.REPORTS FROM CHURCHES1. THE GOOD SHEPHERD CHURCH To God be the glory for the resounding testimonies emanating from this parish. Certainly it is the Lord's doing nobody can take the glory to himself all the glory to the Lord whose promises never fails. We are all aware that the past few years have been critical for this parish. At the beginning of the year under review, our divine inspiration was: I CAN MAKE IT ! I WILL MAKE IT !! I HAVE MADE IT !!! Surely if one proposes our God is ever ready to perform. This is our story in this parish. We are happy to report to synod that God is doing marvelous things among us. The assessment arrears of over seven million naira (#7,000,000.00) was cleared alongside the annual assessment. During the adult harvest, 2014, Hon &Mrs. Enahoro Eta donateda new Toyota Hummer bus to the Church. They also pledge to complete the vicarage. As at thetime of this report work was already going on in the vicarage. Our expectation is that thevicarage would be dedicated by the next anniversary of the Church. We cannot thank thiscouple enough because God raised them as a helper to His Church. Our members alsoperformed very well in every aspect of their stewardship to the Church. As usual services wereheld regularly with all the various meetings that contributed immensely to the resoundingsuccesses that have been recorded.We are happy to report that the re-roofing of the Church which has been begging for attentionfor some years now has been done. Over four million five hundred thousand naira(#4,500,000.00) was spent on the project. Furnishing of the vicar's office is ongoing. TheEmoghene Multipurpose Cooperative Society is waxing stronger and membership is on theincrease. The visitation/Counseling/ Follow-up Team ministry visits members weekly leadingto revival in the life of members. The Welfare/Charity ministry on behalf of the Churchresponded to the needs of the people and over two million naira (#2,000,000.00) was spent.The various evangelical groups were active during the year attending both local and nationalconferences. During the year under review efforts were made to reclaim some part of theswampy areas surrounding the Church. Our desire is to complete the Church building thisyear and also dedicate it.During the disposition of clergy, one of our priests was transferred, the Rev.Sam Ewhoforama,and the Rev Denis Nnamani replaced him. Rev James O.Odiete retired from active servicewhile the Rev. Daniel U.Ode was posted to us.CHURCH OF THE REDEEMER, FRANK-AILEMEN, WARRI.This Church is next to The Good Shepherd Church in the Archdeaconry with two clergymenserving there. Services were held regularly with an improvement in the attendance. Periodicalrevival and breakthrough services are held to keep the members strong spiritually andphysically. Seminars are also held with a view to educating the members especially thevarious leaders in the Church. During the year under review, the welfare/charity work wasencouraging. The Church assisted some orphans in the Church by purchasing an apartmentthat worth the sum of one million, thirty five thousand and nine hundred naira (#1,035,900.00)only. Over seven hundred and ninety eight naira, nine hundred and fifty kobo (#798,950.00)only was spent on other charity works.The biggest challenge facing the Church is the possibility of securing a nearby land to buildtheir vicarage. While efforts are on top gear at securing a land around the Church for thispurpose, the members are also appealing to the good people of this diocese to aid themfinancially. Some of the achievements recorded in the Church were the initiatives of thewomen groups of the Church who bought a landed property where they hope to build anhostel for commercial purposes.CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION, UGBORI, WARRIServices were held regularly during the year under review. Revival cum breakthrough that helpedto build the spiritual life of members was held successfully. The Church celebrated theirannual harvest that enabled them to pay part of their annual assessment. The Churchappreciates a neighbor of the Church who is helping to pay their light bills.The Church was involved in charity works during the year which gulped the sum of forty twothousand, five hundred and eighty naira (#42,580.00) only. This Church is in dire need of aland where a permanent church building can be erected. As at now the available place withinthe area is a property that is being offered at the sum of seventeen million naira(#17,000,000.00) only. The church is calling on well-meaning people of God to come to theiraid.THE NEW COVENANT CHURCH, OKITI STREET, WARRI.This church has existed for about two years and it is doing well under the leadership of theworker there. Services were held regularly during the year under review. We thank God for thegrowth in membership. During the year the church purchased some musical instruments toenhance their worship including a generator to supply power. Some group of persons donatedsome plastic chairs to the church while Evang. Mrs. P. Ejatomi donated some chairs for use inthe worker's house. During the confirmation service the church presented 17 candidates forconfirmation, 5 candidates for women's guild and 1 for Mothers' union and 1 for Girls Guild.The immediate need of the church is a land to build their permanent structure for worship.Efforts made so far had not yielded any positive result. We ask for prayers in this regard. Wecannot but thank the proprietor of Fans College for their magnanimity in playing host to thechurch since inception.FUTURE PLANSWe look forward to intensify efforts so as to acquire land for the smaller churches in thearchdeaconry that are yet to possess a permanent place of worship. To Him be all the glory and adoration forever more – Amen.REPORT FROM WARRI WEST ARCHDEACONRYDuring the year under review, Warri West Archdeaconry developed numerically, spirituallyand in infrastructure that it split into two Archdeaconries. The new Archdeaconry (WarriCentral) is to be inaugurated in June 2015.REPORT FROM CHURCHES(1) ST. JAMES CHURCH, OJABUGBE: The 2 storey investment house of this church comprising of 8 numbers of 2 bedroom flats, 2 bed sitters and Women Kitchen is almost completed. The foundation of this project was laid on 6th September, 2013. Tenants are already occupying the Ground Floor. The first floor is almost ready for occupation while plastering and finishing work is on at the last floor. This church sank two borehole, one for the investment house while the other is for church use in the church compound. Various Revivals programmes including the 40 days Lent period, were done. The Divine Connection Programme introduced since 2013 is greatly helping the church. This programme holds every Monday. Midyear Revival Programme, Beginning the year with God, End of year Revival Programmes and regular All Night Prayers are held in this church.(2) ST. PAUL'S AGBARHA – WARRI: This church carried out various spiritual programmes such as walking with the Lord, wilderness with the Lord, Victory Moment, Midyear Revival, Operation Carry your Own etc. This church purchased one keyboard at the cost of (N270,000.00) only.(3) CHRIST THE KING CHURCH: This church is now an Archdeaconry Headquarter. The Vicar of this church was also preferred an Archdeacon. The inauguration of this new Archdeaconry will be in June 2015. This church also received a trained Catechist to assist in the Pastoral work in this parish. This church organized various revival programmes such as Atmosphere of Restoration, Good Morning Holy Spirit, Ephata, Prayer Convocation, All Night Vigil, Bible Study etc.(4) ST. MARK'S CHURCH OTOR-OKERE: This church in the year under review experienced a tremendous revival through the spiritual programmes such as Open Heavens, General Church Revival Prayers. This has been of great help and means ofEvangelism in the community. This church also assisted the Okere-Urhobo Communityin opening the community link road which has been blocked and abandoned. It ispresently being called, St. Mark's Link Road.(5) ST. THOMAS CHURCH IDIAREGBE: This is a growing and developing church. This church received a resident Priest posted to them for the first time in January 2015. The church building project is still on. The decking of this church will be done this year to enable the church have gallery. This church needs financial support. Various spiritual and revival programmes such as Eagles gathering, monthly revival, breakthrough service, general fasting every Friday are being organized by this church.(1) CHURCH OF THE ASCENSION, TOKAN STREET, OFF WILLIE STREET: This church is waxing stronger spiritually. The zeal and cooperation of the members of this church is worthy of emulation. The building of this church has reached lintel level. Fence has been put on one side of the land of the church. The sand filling of the church is still on. We pray that this church shall be roofed before the end of this year. This church is to host the 2015 confirmation service of Warri West Archdeaconry.(2) ST. JUDE'S CHURCH EGBEMENE: This church is building a new church with planks and aluminum due to the nature of the land – (saw dust land). This is being done with support from individual donations and the women of the Archdeaconry.(3) CHAPEL OF THE KING OF KINGS: This chapel is in the palace of the king of Agbarha Kingdom in Warri. Amen.ARCHDEACONRY REPORT:(a) PASTORAL WEEK: This Archdeaconry Pastoral week was successfully observed from Monday 29th Sept. to Sunday 5th Oct 2014 with the theme: “Living in God's Glory”.(b) AID TO MISSIONARY CHURCH: The Archdeaconry aided St. Luke's Anglican Church, Ifiekporo with the sum of two Hundred Thousand Naira Only (N 200,000).(c) SOCIETIES & GROUP: All the groups and societies such as A.A.P.S., A.Y.F., A.C.M., Mothers Union, Women Guild, Girls Guild, Boys Brigade, Deliverance and Healing Unit (D.H.U.) are doing well.(d) A NEW ARCHDEACONRY OFFICIAL CAR: A new official car was bought for the Archdeacon at One Million Six Hundred Thousand Naira Only (N1600000.00). The old car was sold at Three Hundred Thousand Naira Only (N300000.00), which was part of the money used for the buying of the new car.REPORT FROM CHURCHESST. MATTHEW'S CHURCH, OGUNU WARRI:(a) EVANGELISM/REVIVAL: A lot of revival Services were conducted and two-by-two evangelism holds every last Sunday of the month.(b) YOUTH ACTIVITIES: The youth are allowed to lead a Church Service once in a month. They hold their normal weekly activities regularly.(c) HOME CELL: The Parish, now Ogunu Zone operates a functional home cell.(d) CHARITY: The Church under her welfare package embarks on empowering member to start a small scale business of (N10000) Ten Thousand Naira Only Five members have benefited from it. PREAMBLES: We thank God for His immeasurable Love, Mercy and grace He has afforded us both to report and participate in the 2015 Synod of our great Diocese of Warri. We are overwhelmingly grateful to his lordship,The Rt. Revd. Christian Esezi Ide (JP), and the entire Diocese of Warri for graciously granting us a place among the clergy in active service and to function in that capacity. The synopsis of Warri South West Archdeaconry report is as follows:2. ACTIVITIES: The zest and pragmatism with which the Churches in the Archdeaconry actively engaged in various programmes and projects impacted positively on the members with the attendant magnitude of fruitful results. This is evidently clear in the numerical, Spiritual and Financial growth and material development of the churches.2(a) Assessment/Levies: All the Churches in the Archdeaconry religiously fulfilled their financial obligations to the Diocese in the year under review.(b). Home Cell: The adroitness and positive approach of our priests, catechists, home cell shepherds and servants as we last reported has yielded noticeable growth and improvement with new home cells added to the number of the previous year.(c). Sunday school: We have also recorded great improvement in our adult Sunday School program as we still maintain the group by group meeting in consonance with the 2012 Synod resolution.(d). Financial Assistance to Smaller Churches: Within the period under review the Archdeaconry spent the sum of One hundred and fifty thousand naira (N150, 000)only to build a temporary tent of worship for the New Anglican Church, Edjeba within the compound of Engr. David Uyamasi. The Archdeaconry also spent the sum of Forty thousand naira (N40, 000) only to assist in the renovation of the temporary structure of St. Philip`s Ang. We look forward for more of this in subsequent years(f) PRISON VISITATION: The Archdeaconry Follow up Team embarked on prison visitation on three different occasions. The churches donated clothes, foodstuff and plates and spoons for this purpose. The Archdeaconry spent the sum of thirty –five thousand naira(#35, 000) for the purchase of bibles and medical treatment for two inmates.(g) VISION 2015: Archdeaconry Evangelism at Edjebaand Ubeji, Youth Gathering at Egbokodo.3. REPORT FROM CHURCHES OUR SAVIOUR'S ANGLICAN CHURCH OKURODE -URHOBO WARRIACTIVITIES. This church catered for the spiritual needs and growth of the flocks of Christ byorganizing and committing members for full participation in the following programmes in theyear under review:1. PERIODICAL REVIVAL/EVANGELISM:a. Divine Encounter on Wednesdays:. (b)Jesus Solution Hour on Saturdays is effectively attracting non Anglicans in the neighbourhood. (c)Two by two Evangelism: This is yielding Fruitful results.SEMINARS:These were organized for the youths and parents. The Vicar also meets every fourth nightwith the youth in a programme tagged “SINGLES MINGLE”.ACHIEVEMENT/PROJECTS:i. Official foundation laying ceremony of the church's Vicarage and Parsonage on 11th December, 2014.ii. Successful dedication of Our Saviour's Church Building and Vicarage by his lordship Rt. Revd C.E. Ide (JP) on 31st January, 2015.iii. Erection of a structure for teenagers' Sunday school/garage. Humphrey D. Nwaigwe who was the Vicar of St. Paul`s Church, Edjeba. He died about three weeks before the 2014 synod when we had already sent our synod report for the year. Our unalloyed gratitude goes to the Diocesan Clergy / Wives and members of the diocese for the various roles they played in the burial activities and also for consoling the family. We put on record that His lordship graciously gave the wife employment as a Financial Officer in our diocese to enable her carter for herself and the children. We thank the Bishop also for fulfilling promptly all the financial obligations of the diocese to the family of the deceased. FridayErerene sent there since July,2014.ACTIVITIES:The church has come up with well-structured programmes that have impacted positively o nthe members and non-Anglican Christians in the Community. Such as;i. A two weeks Revival “OPERATION POSSESS YOUR POSSESSION” ii.A 21 days Revival “O GOD CHANGE MY LEVEL” iii.“SEPTEMBER TO REMEMBER” A one month revival. iv. “I MUST END THIS YEAR WELL” a one month revival for December, 2014 v. A 100 days fasting programme Tagged “ALL ROUND PROSPERITY” which commence from 10th of January, 2015. vi .40 days of Glory which is held at the period of lent Tagged: “A WALK WITH GOD”vii. “DIVINE SETTLEMENT”: A weekly programme held every Wednesday.ACHIEVEMENTS:a. CHURCH LAND: The purchase of a piece of land measuring 100 x 80 feetat the cost of N3,100,000.00(Three million, one hundred thousand naira) only. The land has been surveyed and the deeds duly prepared and signed.ii. PROJECT: We are glad to inform Synodof the successful foundation laying ceremony of the church building and Vicarage on 30th November,2014. Both buildings are now at DPC level. So far, a total sum of N2.8million has been spent on the project.The church successfully hosted the 2014 Archdeaconry Confirmation.iii. The church also purchased the following items during the year under review:a. A Generator costing N80,000 (b). Musical instruments costing N220,000APPRECIATION: We heartily thank our i. Bishop, The Rt. Revd,C.E. Ide (JP) on behalf ofthe Diocese for releasing the sum of Three million two hundred thousand naira(N3,200,000) only for the purchase of a piece of land. MATTHEW'S ANGLICAN CHURCH OKPARA WATER SIDE FROM SATURDAY 2ND – WEDNESDAY 6TH MAY, 2015My Lord Bishop,My Lord Spiritual and Temporal,Diocesan Officials,Houses of Clergy and Laity,Fellow Synod Delegates,Ladies & Gentlemen.INTRODUCTION:We are deeply grateful to God Almighty for His goodness and mercy upon our lives as individualsand as a Diocese and we are also thankful to the Almighty God for the opportunity and grace toserve in His Church. We congratulate our able and dynamic Bishop, our mother in Israel and allthe synod delegates for another synod year.SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT:The chapel organized a seven (7) days spiritual revival programme to begin the year 2015 withtheme Tagged “POWER TO ARRIVE FAST AT YOUR DESTINATION”, which recorded a hugesuccess and brought in new converts into the chapel. The Chapel Organise all night every lastFriday of the month.The Chapel holds the Eagles Gathering Programme from 1st – 5th of every month and Mid-Week Revival Programme every Week. This Programmes also helps to enhance the Spirituallive of the people. REPORTS TO THE THIRD SESSION OF THE ELEVENTH SYNOD.EPISCOPAL VISITThe Bishop of the Diocese of Warri, the Rt Rev. Christian E. Ide paid an Episcopal visit to theChapel of the Advent on Saturday 29th November 2014, for the Tenth year Anniversary andHonourary Award Ceremony of the Chapel which brought in great spiritual revival and Sunday30th November 2014 for Confirmation Service and Thanksgiving of the Chapel.WOMEN WORKThe women of the Chapel are divided into three groups which includes1. Love Group.2. Unity Group.3. Peace Group.The Women of the Chapel during the year under review embarked on various activities whichinclude the women convention which recorded a huge success, visitation and donations to thehospital and Orphanages home. The Chapel women has contributed greatly to the all rounddevelopment of the Chapel.MEN'S WORK:The Chapel's Men Fellowship held every Tuesday with significant improvement in attendanceand commitment by members. The group actively participated in programs of the Chapel andthose of the Diocesan men fellowship.The annual men's convention was organized alongsidethe annual Couple's Dinner, it recorded a huge success. We commend the men also, for theirgreat contribution to the development of the Chapel.CHILDREN DEPARTMENT:The children's department has contributed immensely to the Spiritual growth of the Children ofthe Chapel. The Children of the Chapel attended the teenagers camp meeting at Emevor. TheChildren also visited Delta Orphanage home with gift items, such as food, Beverages Clothesand cash. The Children of the Chapel celebrated the Children's day and Christmas's Party in theChapel.YOUTH WORK:The Anglican Youth Fellowship (AYF) holds her weekly meeting on Saturday as 5.00pm. theannual A.Y.F. week was held in the year under review with the “Theme” “Overcoming the NaturalMan” 1 Cor. 2:13-14.The Chapel AYF actively participated in Programs Organized by the Diocesan and National AYF,these includes all-night programs, the Pentecost Week Program, the National Bible StudyConference in Umuahia, Abia State. The Anglican Youth Fellowship are engage in evangelismwithin the complex and its environs. They are always involved in the various church activitiesregularly.WELFARE AND CHARITY:The Chapel has always engaged in various welfare works to her members in their times of Joy orgrief. The Chapel extends welfare packages to the needy regularly as the case may be.
