Coronavirus Daily Poems Poem 5 The sun is shining the skies are blue, We all know what we need to do. Stay at home and look after our own, All we have is the phone. We can clean, cook and spring clean it’s true, But I just can’t be bothered can you? I mean to exercise with Joe Wicks every day, But lack of enthusiasm is getting in the way. I did change into my gym kit and even pinned back my hair, Sadly very quickly I slumped in the chair. We did go for a walk in the field for something to do, But came home with boots covered in poo. Today I’m worried sick about Charlie boy will he survive? Oh hang on he’s got an entourage keeping him alive. He and Camilla have only got 41 rooms to self-isolate, But we can all walk to our front gate. Well I’m going to write a poem a day, Sorry it’s coming your way. 5 29/12/2020 20:11

Coronavirus Daily Poems Poem 7 Well another day of self-isolation at home, No more the shops to roam. The time has come, I know what must be done. The biggest task of all,I hear the wardrobe’s call. Sort this out, It’s heaving with clothes there’s no doubt. Dresses and tops must go, How much I’ve spent only Andrew must really know. I’ve not even mentioned the shoes and boots to clear, I’m sure they weren’t that dear. We need to focus on what’s important will be my reply, As Andrew inspects the black bags going by. But let’s thank God that Charlie and Cammy meet the criteria for the NHS test, Never mind about the rest. NHS staff go to work without a clue, Old Charlie knew just what to do, With his mild symptoms to Scotland he flew . And he only infected the military crew. Still we must all carry on, Until all our supplies have gone. The only good thing about staying in, Is our copious supply of Gin. 7 29/12/2020 20:11

Coronavirus Daily Poems Poem 9 Here we are again another day has past, I can’t really say I’m having a blast. Is it only me who’s reluctant to hit my food  store, I’m scared I’ll need some more. We have food but I just look, Too afraid to cook. Measuring pasta is new to me, I’m even checking the tea. This might make me think about what I spend and how I use my card, On the other hand going without shopping for weeks has been hard. I don’t think it will take too long, Before I join the shopping throng. All clapped for the NHS last night. Thank God the Prosecco fuelled hot tub party next door was out of sight.  9 29/12/2020 20:11

Coronavirus Daily Poems Poem 11 Today I had a brainwave as to Imperial Park I can’t pop, I’d go on line for a Boots top up shop. They’d sent me an email with extra points on my card, I just didn’t  realise it would be that hard. I was 250,000th in line and they suggested an hour long wait, That was ok I wasn’t going out any rate. I awoke to find that I’d missed my slot, sometime around 2 o’clock But all was not lost I knew what to do, In the morning once again I’d join the queue. I tried again first thing and with 10,000 waiting they still suggested an hour wait , not too long. I got on about 10  O’clock ,brilliant ! I’d treat myself but hang on everything had gone. No perfume as a little treat, No top up colour to keep my parting neat. But worst of all, No special cream for Andrew’s xxxxx 11 29/12/2020 20:11
