We are only one step away, and we could say we have survived another struggle that life has thrown at us. Tabi, tabi po. Life is full of burdens, full of problems, full of challenges but despite all of those there is a bright side that gives us fulfillment, hopes, love, mercy, and compassion, it is life with God. I believe that the life that you are developing is the life that you will reap. In the darkest corner of disappointment, in the deepest hole of burdens, in the hardest battle with life, there is one hope that gave his life to all of us. He gave himself to wash away the sins of the world. John 3:16 said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” It is the heart of the bible. In this verse, He is introducing Jesus as the Lord. He is the main character in the scriptures. He is the author of salvation. He is the creator of heaven and earth. This verse is the justification that we will be saved because of Jesus. The world is worst before because He pours His wrath because all people are sinners. No salvation, no hope, no purpose and they are just living like a dead, nothing but useless. The destination of all people before is hell. But He sent His son to ransom us from the sting of hell. “That whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.” This is the promise of God to us, that whosoever believeth in Him will be with him in the Paradise where no more diseases, no more mourning, no more burdens, no more problems no more evil things but all mighty things will be there. Faith in Jesus Christ is the only way for us to have our salvation but God says in James 2:26 “Faith without works is dead.” Meaning to say if you believe in Him but do not do His will, just like a dead your faith is useless. Because God said in John 14:15 “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” Therefore we cannot have everlasting life if we don’t obey Him. Before I was in the darkness where no light, no hope, my life has no direction, void, questioning my purpose and existence. I was a sinner for not believing that God exist but He rescued me. At that moment I found the purpose that gave me hope to continue living. As I go deeper in knowing Him there is this one message that kept on running through my mind that keeps me on holding unto Him. “NEVER FORGET THE SACRIFICES OF JESUS. HE CRUCIFIED HIMSELF TO SAVE THE WORLD.” The cross of sacrifices is the purpose why I am living. He gave me hope, mercy, and compassion. His promise that He will love me no matter what will happen, is the assurance that I am worth.
