CareerQuest College is a Private High School, listed with the Ministry of Education under BSID #666541, a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005, with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (PCC #110640), and a Designated Learning Institution through the International Student Program under DLI number O256568575757. For nearly 20 years, we have delivered educational programs to students from all over the world. We also assist all students who attend our school, to chart a map for their future, and we provide extensive supports, to ensure they remain on purpose, every step of the way. For students who have not chosen a career path, we provide complimentary counselling to help them discover their life purpose, and then align it with a career, so they will enjoy long-term success and fulfillment. We believe that education alone leads only to a job, but where education has purpose, it leads to a career.

THE CAMP U CHOOSE TO.. LEARN ENGLISH FOR FIND YOUR EDUCATION ACADEMIC PURPOSES AND CAREER PATH Improve your English through full This is an elective class that runs 3 cultural immersion. Students receive afternoons per week. Students will a set of textbooks, and 15 hours of English lessons per week. THE CAMP U CHOOSE TO.. LEARN ENGLISH for ACADEMIC PURPOSES CareerQuest College’s English as a Second Language (ESL) training programs are fully integrated. They combine in-class and online learning (theory) with practical experience (field trips and activities). The latter provides students with the opportunity to develop a fuller understanding and appreciation for the culture surrounding the English language. Our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program is for students who wish to improve their English language skills to advance their education. The program emphasizes reading, writing, speaking, and listening to prepare students for high school, college or university. Students are placed in groups according to their current English language proficiency and their academic objective. English language proficiency is measured using Canadian Language Benchmarks. In-class training is supplemented with practical experience (field trips and activities), in order to make programs fun, interactive, and comprehensive.

FIND YOUR EDUCATION AND CAREER PATH Students who participate in this part of the camp will complete a career assessment, which will help them identify fulfilling and rewarding career paths based on their interests and personality types. Some of the assessments used include the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator®, Strong Interest Inventory®, Learning Style & Study Preferences™, and the Career Interest Profiler™. Students will also learn to create a strong resumé and cover letter for employment or university applications, and also participate in a variety of activities that teach networking and job interview skills. Upon completion of the career assessment and job search training, students will be able to move forward in their education and careers with a high degree of confidence.

THE CAMP U CHOOSE TO.. DEVELOP YOUR LEADERsHip SKILLS Problem-solving, planning and organizing, communicating effectively, displaying a professional presence, are all qualities of great leaders. In this component of the program, Camp U participants will enage in individual and group activities and projects that will give them opportunities to develop these valuable life skills. Examples of actviities and projects are selecting and researching role models, and preparing comprehensive presentations to deliver to the group; within teams, being given topics to research and debate; planning and develpoing blogs or small websites to express interests and ideas; learning to and creating professional profiles on Linkedin; researching college and universities and their programs, and presenting those of choice to the group.
