GREETINGS FROM MERIDIAN, MS! Our foundation, CFEM, is looking to do a majoroverhaul of our website.  Yours is great!  So we have some questions if you don’t mind… • How/who did your site design?  Can you recommend resources who know CFs in general? • How do you maintain your site and update it to keep it current – internal, external resources? Lastly, can we contact someone in your Foundation to ask more questions?  If so, please let us have their info. Dear Meagan, We have been so impressed with the new talent that has joined Indiana community foundations in recent years. It makes us feel great about the future of our field. We would like to do what we can to ensure that our field welcomes, embraces and supports this talent. We see you a part of this next generation of leadership and would love your insight and advice. So, you are invited for lunch and a conversation on this topic. This will be a very casual brainstorming conversation, we are not bringing any specific proposal to the event. Dear Dawn, I stopped in a few months ago, while Elijah was in Nicaragua, toinquire about Elijah's application for scholarships this year and wasshocked to learn he didn't complete his application.  I just wanted to let you know what I learned when he returned to the states.  He said he didn't apply because Northwestern University's aid package pays almost all his expenses and he didn't feel comfortable requesting scholarships.I sent an update to my fellow members of the Marion Rotary Club concerning how he is applying himself since he was the 2016 recipient of the male Marion Rotary Club Student of the Year Award. Since your organization also sent scholarships in 2016 toNorthwestern in his name, I wanted to share the information withyou also.  Your help has gone a long way in helping him accomplishwhat he has made of his opportunity so far.  His plans are to go on to law school.  He also is planning on applying for another study abroad opportunity in Argentina during the summer of his junior year. By the way, he was elected President of Chapin Hall Residence Center for this academic year. Forgive me as a grandparent for bragging, but I know you will be interested in the \"fruits of your labor\". With warm regards, Jim Botkin 33

Dear Dawn: I knew as soon as I saw your intro that I’d love your Marketing style and message! Thank you for sharing it at the Growing CommunityFoundation conference. Yours is honestly one of the best, most relatable and action-oriented Marketing presentations I’ve heard – and not just in the community foundation space! I said hello after your Presentation #2 and am the relatively new (1 year) ED of the Lake County Comm. Foundation, based in the northern suburbs of Chicagoland.I’ve been struggling to get a focused a Mar/Comm action plan on paper – it’ssuper clear in my head – and your presentation has inspired me. Are you able to share your Communication planning templates and audience profiles with me? Thanks for whatever files/templates and tools you can send! MIAH H. ARMOUR, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR LAKE COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION42

Hi Dawn, Happy Monday! Thank you for sharing your expertise and ideas at the 2017 KACF conference. I sat in both your sessions and greatly enjoyed both of them. I began to feverishly take notes during your first session, but was told by a friend that all the slides would be made available, so no need to write it all. You had ALOT of great ideas and information. Since I’m still waiting on the slides from KACF and have some time in the next few weeks to review notes and ideas from the conference, I thought it best to reach out to you directly. Would you be willing to share a copy of your ppt slides or a draft of your plan/ideas? I’d greatly appreciate it!  Thank you, Noah Nordbrock Donor Services & Marketing Director DeKalb County Community Foundation50
