2018 - 2019 NAMPA CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS ATHLETICS TROJANSFALL MEDIA GUIDE

What an exciting time of year it is as we come back to school for the 2018 - 2019 academic and ath-letic year. The fall season is upon us and that means we are all ready for football, volleyball, and crosscountry! We are so thankful for the blessing it is to be part of the Nampa Christian Schools family. We welcome you parents, students, alumni, boosters, and fans to another exciting year of athletics. In the book Learning from the Best (Growing Greatness that Endures in the Christian School) byGene Frost, the authorwrites about the challenges ofa Christian school to preserve its mission, whilesimultaneously growing the organization. We want to be great at everything we do, and we wantto be a magnet for those who have the same mission and vision for their children’s education. Wealso want to create and protect a culture that fosters a family atmosphere and brings glory to God.We place a high priority on preserving a Christ-centered culture at NCS, which is diametri-cally opposed to the self-centered culture of the world. As the world pulls further from truthand believing God’s Word, we are compelled to press harder into Jesus and His Kingdom.I believe it is the perfect time for us to focus this year on our culture, and to dedicate our effortsto defining and protecting a Kingdom Culture at NCS. You have probably guessed it by now -our theme for this year is: “Kingdom Culture” and our theme verse is Matthew 6:33 NIV- “Butseek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.We want the culture at Nampa Christian to be pleasing to the Lord. We want everything we doto be in righteousness and Kingdom-minded. Please be praying for our staff, students, and fami-lies as we move through another school year, focused on building a Kingdom Culture at NCS.Go Trojans!Dr. Greg WilesSuperintendent, Nampa Christian Schools
