Top Quality Potato Processors in New Zealand Since Ages Ago… Over 30 years ago (way back in the 70s), Mr Chips began as a small manufacturer of frozen potato chips. Mr Chips became a hugely popular and iconic brand - almost every kiwi will have the memory of going to festivals and events and getting a delicious cup of hot and golden Mr Chips’ chips slathered in tomato sauce. Over the years we have continued to supply both New Zealanders and people from all over the world with delicious crunchy chips. Our products have also extended from the classic 13mm fry to a range of cuts (including the popular crinkle cut, steak cut and shoestring) as well as potato wedges and specialties, and of course the most delicious range of kumara and sweet potato chips. Today, Mr Chips is a leading potato processor which continues to produce top-quality fresh and frozen products.

100% New Zealand Grown Here at Mr Chips we are committed to produce New Zealand’s (and the worlds!) absolute favourite chips, and this can only be done by using the utmost highest quality product and manufacturing processes. All of Mr Chips premium and A-grade chips are made from 100% New Zealand grown premium potatoes and kumara from top farms such as those found in Pukekohe, Kaipara, Matamata, Kopuera, Canterbury, and all around New Zealand. We then use rigorous quality controls and procedures to ensure A-grade products are consistently produced. All of this of course makes the most tastiest chips! 100% New Zealand Owned Mr Chips was acquired by the Balle Bros Group in 2013, making us uniquely 100% New Zealand owned. The Balle Bros are a family-oriented business based in Pukekohe, south of Auckland, and are highly respected in the agricultural sector for being a preferred source of premium quality New Zealand produce.
