nature Nature POP—a senior care activity center—celebrates life’s beginning, not the end. Inspired by the beauty of Spring, the center glows with warm colors which are most pleasing to the aging eye. Conceptualized around the idea of “beginning,” the decor features transparent stained woods as the material for light fixture trims, floor finishes, and senior-friendly furniture to reflect another “beginning.” Natural lighting, art, and interior plants complete the positive influence of the design. As its name implies, Nature POP illustrates the potential of nature and the interior environment to sustain wellbeing—mental, physical, and spiritual. 05

j Inspired by innovative designs from high-end retails, u juxtapose highlights a unique and carefully curated collection of streetwear fashion, with a focus on limited edition sneakers. By incorporating biological material x (natural wood) and technical material (concrete), the design creates a juxtaposition in materials, emphasizing t the store’s name. Evoking a lifestyle that appeals to the streetwear culture, a diverse merchandise is pulled from a different brands and designers, resulting in a neutral color palette for the space. Manipulating the flexibility of wood, an organic-shape walkway is placed in the p center of the store, dividing the space in half to create asymmetry. The same wood material is then used o as rectangle beams to highlight the cash wrap area to continue asymmetry throughout the entire store and create another juxtaposition within the same material– s flexible versus concrete. This highlights a crucial element of juxtapose, which is to provide an immersive e experience for its customers through space. 09
