As an added bonus, online learning has opened new employment options for those who want to teach online. As online learning is picking up pace, the entire world has become a global classroom. Now we can learn from our favorite instructors and get certified from our choice institutions. Mistakes & Adults By Country Amb. Rakesh Verma, CHILPARCO INTERNATIONAL Qatar Experienced facilitator, avid listener, enthusiastic learner and ever ready to make new-acquaintance, presently based in Qatar. ‘Mistakes’ the adults commit in front of the children We all wish our children to be the best in their upbringing, behaviour, studies, rapport, popularity as well as in career. We even have their welfare in our prayers. We can go to any extent whatsoever to protect them. But, do we realize that we are indirectly showing them negative aspects of our characters when we openly criticize, complain and condemn anyone anytime against whom we have a grudge or who has not fulfilled our desires, in our workplace or within our families? We must question ourselves and ponder that don’t we :- Pass negative comments on whosoever possible in front of our children ? Express our emotions, agony and sorrow due to activities at our workplace ?
Take out grudges on our fellow employees, when we ourselves teach our childre to be tolerant and sympathetic? Go to any extent to avenge for some selfish reasons with our colleagues? Poison the ears of our superiors against other workers? Believe in rumours or rumour-mongers, and base our actions on them? Hate our fellow human beings on the lines of language, religion or colour? Pull down the leg of our colleagues to get promotions? Flatter our boss to get favours? We must consider that we are the ones who are making mistakes one in exposing ourselves to the future generation, and then we blindly , rexpect them to behave as ideal children. They are watching us and they realize each and every aspect of our character. Today’s children are the most intelligent lot. One cannot take it for granted and wish them to be perfect in their character. In the famous poem, The Rainbow, William Wordsworth has rightly used the expression, \"The child is father of the man\". This expression means that all our positive and negative traits are established when we are young. It is necessary to groom our children to adopt healthy attitudes and positive traits so that they grow up to be balanced individuals. So, dear fellow adults, we must think twice before we indulge in any sort revengeful activities in our workplace, at home or during family outings. For, what we do now, we may have to repent in future!! \"Stereotypes happen. I try not to embrace them or avoid them.\" -Danny Pudi
The Dichotomy Between Education’ and True Education MR. TANMOY BANERJEA Born at the turn of the millennium, Tanmoy Banerjea is pursuing higher education in the stream of Civil Engineering at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. Born in Kolkata, he is passionate about sports, current affairs, debates and animals. An independent and strong mind, a deep voice and kind eyes make this young man a friend to all - the feathered, the four legged and of course us humans too and in that order. “Education is the most powerful weapon that one can use, to change the world.” so said Mr. Nelson Mandela, one of the greatest leaders of the world. Come to think of it, this statement, in truth, has enough potential to trigger a tsunami of positive energy within a person, if one would like to plunge into the depths of the same. Having come across this phrase, in class VII, I too was one of those who were motivated to no end. Seven years later, when I stand at the brink of launching into my professional life, looking back at all my school and college years, I feel that there is a vast difference between the education that I have been imparted as compared to the one that Mr. Mandela might have envisaged.
In my opinion, the former is not even 5% potent as compared to the latter, if defined explicitly. So, the most logical question that I face, today, is - what exactly is being taught in the educational institutions of India? My student life is an eclectic mix of culture, geography and independence. I began in one of the best schools in the city of Kolkata, moved to a 125 year old boarding school in Mussoorie and then finally to a technical college in Dehradun. And if I were to answer the question above, based on my experience, I would conclude that all we have accomplished is literacy with true education slipping into oblivion. Broadly speaking, every year, the Class XII batch from various education boards, displays phenomenal grades on their mark-sheets. Yet, the same students reflect very limited confidence, conviction and application of their acquired knowledge in their day to day lives. I speak so as I belong to this generation and innumerable friends of mine fit this bill. On the other hand, if we see our preceding generation, we find that the visible excellence of a candidate’s mark-sheet was a true depiction of his/her all round development and caliber. To my mind, this has happened because the focus has shifted from “education\" to “tutoring\". Simple as it may sound, the realistic facts associated with this short phrase have snowballed into highly undesirable consequences, the likes of which, few throughout history, have been a witness to. To name a few of the demons, we find educated unemployment, non uniform utilization of the country's demographic dividend, a steadily increasing dependency ratio and the stagnation of the holistic development of the youth are some of the major issues that have been in the offing, for long and are now fast approaching epic proportions. If education and literacy went together, I presume such challenges that we are facing wouldn’t have existed in the very first place. No doubt knowledge from the books, conventional practices and formal academics set up standards necessary to launch and survive in today’s highly competitive professional world.
But what about qualities like proper etiquettes, manners, personality development, confidence, critical thinking, brainstorming, the art of conversation and even a sense of dressing. Don’t they form a part of our education? Aren’t they an integral part of the modern individual? Are these qualities developed and nurtured as a part of education in any institution? I plead ignorant! Speaking from the perspective of the society, isn’t the inculcation of a sense of patriotism, a sense of belonging, in the young and pliable mind, a part of our “education“? To my mind, giving back to the world that we are born in, is true education. This fact is being overlooked by diverting our focus, instead, to volumes of books that contain page after page of official knowledge in the form of listings and reiterating facts that are debatable under various conditions. Having studied all that, what use is that “education\" if we can’t bring about a change in our lives and others' lives too? Instead, focusing our energies in “studying and securing marks\" only, the single minded approach to achieving personal and materialistic success is best exemplified by a big chunk of young professionals choosing to study and settle abroad. Some may agree with me while many may not. But, with all due respect, we need to rethink about “what education is and how to bring it into the mainstream\". Our system still has a million miles to traverse before it can safely declare itself to have achieved its goal – holistic development followed by academic parameters. The reason why I give precedence to making students into good human beings over academic excellence draws inspiration from qualities like love for all – women, children, destitute and the voiceless. . . . .the list is endless. There are some people, only a few maybe, but they do tread along these lines, who make this world a place worth living.
All, respect for others and self too, value for one’s own time and others' as well, strength of mind, ability of not falling prey to materialistic temptations at the cost of other's welfare, the ability of working towards the benefit of the society and the nation even before paying attention to personal requirements, working for the we firmly believe that if we are able to, somehow, imbibe even a fraction of these qualities, then, coupled with academic excellence, we will witness the dawn of a new youth, not just in India but also across the globe. Such will be the power of education, which will enable progress and integration, thereby creating a sense of common citizenship and culture. Education will help us evolve into becoming higher humans. To my mind, that is what is true education. We stand at a juncture today where continuing the way we are will have a pernicious influence on the generations to come, annihilating the future of our great nation. I sincerely hope and pray that the change comes and comes soon. \"Stereotypes are fast and easy, but they are lies and the truth takes its time.\" -Deb Caletti
ROZOULEU CAROLINE SORUNUO Director CHILPARCO INTERNATIONAL Nagaland A failure is not a person without an aim but a person who does not dream. to be successful in life we have to dream, dream is a practice mentally how to act in the process of fulfilling our aim. We all imagine, we all dream and most of the time we dream beyond our physical condition and then the aims and failures are the same, and therefore our dreams should be adjacent to our physical condition. therefore our dreams should be achievable dreams and realistic. We need to have a clear vision because life is very tricky, as we try to achieve our aim there will be lots of excuses like I'll do it tomorrow, my friends are with me, we begin to work in the comfort zone. what we don't achieve today we makeup tomorrow but life is just once. Follow the timetable or not we make the timetable, you postpone it you are a failure, your aims and dreams are half shattered you are a stereotype. just stupidly dreaming, just stupidly aiming you will never be successful. \"Equality is not a concept. It is not something we should be striving for. It's a necessity. -Joss Whedon

The best way to predict your future is to create it . - RAHEMEEN MUSA (QATAR) School is more than just academics, friends and fun. Being aware of and spreading awareness of different social issues should also be a part of a student's life. Students play a vital role in shaping the future of society. What they learn and the activities they partake in in their prime developmental years are what will form their outlook on the world during adulthood. Therefore it is adamant that we start having these conversations with students early on. Thankfully, in today's age of social media, world news is only a mere click away. Perhaps this is also why we have seen a large influx of student activists raising their voices about a plethora of social matters. An example of students planning protests with their knowledge of social media was during the 2020 Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement. Students were able to propagate resources and information to educate others about the pressing need to strive for racial justice. It becomes more and more prevalent how much social justice matters to them. Today's youth is more free and open minded than any previous generation and also has access to more resources and outlets to share their ideas. And as the title- a quote from Abraham Lincoln -suggests, a better future for the world starts with us and our choices in the present.
MOLKA SALEM (TUNISIA) Because of quick changes in innovation, automation, and the workplace itself as well - as the disconnect between the skills youth are prepared with and those needed to succeed the 21st century – half of all youth, more than 800 million total, will not have the basic skills necessary for the workforce by 2030. Without an adequate pool of employees equipped with diverse skills needed to adapt to changing realities, many in the business community will find it difficult to compete in a connected and collaborative economy. The Global Business Coalition for Education launched the Youth skills and Innovation Initiative to tackle these challenges by harnessing the innovation and creativity of youth and industry leaders to create, propagate, accelerate and disseminate successful models at scale to prepare the next generation of creators, makers, innovators and designer to thrive. \"I do not wish them (women) to have power over men; but over themselves.\" -Mary Woolstonecraft
ADEM FERJENI (TUNISIA) Youth is the mainstay of the nation and the secret of its renaissance and supremacy. Young people are the leaders of tomorrow and the main force for achieving development in the country. All countries should focus on their needs and ideas then refine their talents. All countries should also be keen to consolidate innovation and creativity as a culture and a way of life within an integrated system through their comprehensive strategies to enhance the role of innovation as a major driver of government development. The wise leadership believes in promoting a culture of excellence, creativity and innovation among young people in order to create a better and bright future for their societies. Countries should establish centers of technological development which are the basis of sustainable development. Youth must be empowered and rehabilitated to participate in the various realities of national action to be leaders for the future in all vital sectors and the process of change and development. \"The pace at which people are taking to digital technology, defies our stereotypes of age, language, education and income.\" -N. WHAT A CHILD NEEDS By BHUMIKA TIWARI \"The desires of adults are not more important than the needs of children.\" -Tim Walberg A child requires more care, love and support than an adult. Childhood is the learning stage of life and what a child learns at that time will remain with him/her throughout life. During Childhood, a kid does not need luxurious amenities but a pleasing childhood that is full of adorable memories, which is a phase of life dealing with love, care, support from the parents. The critical issue here is that Parents are not able to devote to their child quality time because of work and other pressing issues. They are so busy with their work that they don't look after their children as they should. Instead, they ask nannies to take care of them and give them cell phones to divert their minds. Due to this, the bond of the child and parent gets disturbed and lots of problems arise. Overuse of the mobile phone hampers the child’s vision and leads to many other deficiencies. Many other problems like conflicts in the family, parental control and over protection by them, separation of parents due to reasons known best to them have a negative effect on the child. These problems lead to anxiety and depression, which worsens the situation. The solution to these problems is just time management by the parents. A little love and care can make a very strong bond between the parent and the child. A strong connection is the only need of a child. Being strict and caring towards a child is good, but being overprotective and harsh can have a detrimental effect on the child. So, a little concern and strictness is definitely required. Childhood is a very brief period in life and once it goes it never comes back. So, let the childhood of a child be the most memorable phase of life, with a lot of love, care, support and memories that are worth nurturing and cherishing!
ANANYA VAISHALI PARAG KINI (INDIA) HOW THE YOUTH IS BRINGING CHANGE IN THE SOCIETY India, known as a country of youth, with the potential to help build a stronger democracy through social entrepreneurship. Right now, 1.8 billion young people between the ages of 10 and 24 are studying, working and finding their purpose. They are the largest youth population the world has ever seen, and they are growing up at a time when the world is at a critical crossroad. 2016 marks the first year of action to meet the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Young people are willing and able to contribute to this global agenda to end poverty, fight inequality and tackle climate change by 2030. Despite the adverse situation the young generation is engaged in creating an atmosphere for change in rural Maharashtra, India. In tribal areas, language is a big issue which cuts the masses from education. In Gadchiroli (Indian Village), youth started translating the formal textbooks in Gondi, a colloquial tribal language, which was successful, and tribal students continued in school. It is observed if changes done in the realm of style, time, language, location leads to education reaching to the masses and particularly the deprived sections of the society. The mission is to empower the marginalized and oppressed through facilitating concrete processes. \"I don't believe in stereotypes. Most of the time, stereotypes are just that.\" -Javier Bardem
How Youth Can Bring A Transformation In The Society Zahraa Bening Ayomi Yahkub (Indonesia) Youth is young people or the people who are around 15-25 years old. We can call them Generation Z. As you know, nowadays youth dominate this world. Their roles for this world are really important. Since, they’re very update, they can access information via the internet easily. They live in the digital era that makes it easier for them to operate technology. They are also very innovative. Here are some of the activities that youth can undertake to bring about change in the society. First, being a volunteer. With that, youth can help people and distribute positive energy for everyone. Second, they can be n influencer; influence somebody to follow them to do positive activity. For example the influencers influence their followers to throw garbage in its designated spot, so that the environment is kept clean. Third, being the best speakers. With being a great speaker, they can ask somebody through their speech to change this world. Like speak out about the important climate change, global warming, etc. Since they can operate the internet, they can use online platforms to spread out their message or speech. And, the chance to reach people to do so is higher. \"I didn't want to let the women down. Don’t just tell your child what you want them to do. Show them. Humans is a special species in part because we can learn by imitation. We are programmed to copy other’s actions to understand them and to incorporate them into our own. Children, in particular, watch everything their parents do very carefully.
So, be the person you want your child to be — respect your child, show them positive behavior and attitude, have empathy towards your child’s emotions — and your child will follow suit. Q- The most challenging role of a new age parent. Being afraid to say ‘NO’ We all want our kids to like us. But we need to learn that we don’t need to say “yes” to everything. The Future of Education: The Changing Face of the Universal Education System By: LUTHFIANTO YUDHA PAMUNGKAS, S. Pd. HYBRID Projects (Home for The Youth and Brilliant Representatives of Intellectual Development Projects) The world has been turned into turmoil these past two years due to the pandemic that hit the entire globe. There were so many new things, unimaginable ones that we had to familiarize with. We saw people wear masks, avoid being in the crowds, and protect themselves when communicating by keeping a safe distance. The travel ban as well as the nose and mouth intervention action (read: swab test) and the obligation to show PCR result/vaccination certificate has made travelling become another hobby to put on the lower part of our list of priority. The nature of humans as the social creature has been ripped apart. Meanwhile, there is a huge need to make this world ‘work as it is’. The immediate need to hand over the planet safely and comfortably has raised common awareness among the inhabitants of this universe. We have been presented with so many journals, articles, and publications resulting from various researches, attempting to deliver empirical evidence of the efforts regarding this particular interest. The smartest people from many different countries have gathered, taken initiatives and conducted collaborative actions.
The famous Sustainable Development Goals indeed foster the Millennium Development which were set to reach the intended result by 2015. The SDG Goal number 4 states the n ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportuniti all. This strengthens the MDG Goal number 2, Achieve universal primary education. An daunting task, but the set of collective actions have made it applicable.
