Pre-move Process You’ll receive a call from our customer service team informing you of the expected time of arrival. The truck and uniformed staff will arrive with all the tools and materials necessary for a positive move experience. Home Protection In addition to protecting your possessions, we also care about your home. As part of the move process, we protect floors, stairs and door jams with special protective materials and padding. We take great care to handle your belongings safely in your home. Furniture Protection Wood, plastic and metal furniture is pad wrapped with 34’’ quilted pads. Preparing FOR YOUR MOVE

Packing and move days are full of activity. One of the keys to a successful move is to be prepared in advance. We don’t want items inadvertently packed or transported by our moving staff. We suggest that you place items on your bed or a clearly identified area that you will be moving yourself. We don’t want to pack your airline tickets or keys! Security At Bekins Northwest, your security is a priority. We don’t use casual labor and we complete background checks on all of our employees prior to hiring. Although we ensure that your items are safely and securely moved, it is a good practice to ensure that you know exactly where your high value items are at all times. Do not leave valuable earrings, watches, necklaces and rings in visible areas, in dressers, chests, bathroom counters or drawers. Wallets, purses, credit cards, drivers license passports and cash should be placed in a secure area prior to the arrival of our staff. It is for our benefit as well as yours. Customers should transport all high value jewelry, documents and currency as they are not covered under our valuation programs. . Electronics Computers, TVs, stereos and surround sound systems must be disconnected from cable connections and power source and ready to transport. Flat screen TVs require either the original carton and materials or they will need to be packed in special boxes by the movers. Appliances Washers and dryers must be unhooked from the water connection and power source by the homeowner or a 3rd party service. Front load washers and dryers may need a stabilizing kit installed for safe transport. Refrigerators and freezers must be emptied and defrosted prior to the relocation.
