Rouson is serving his first term in the Florida Senate representing District 19 after an eight-year term in the Florida House of Representatives. Rouson described in detail his downward spiral that led him to spend nine years in eight treatment programs and relapse seven times before he finally got clean in 1998. Since the legislative session ended, he had spoken to 49 treatment centers with a goal of speaking at 60 treatment centers by the end of 2018. “I’m here to give you a little hope. Somebody is waiting on you,” Rouson said.

Your care for others, no matter what the situation, has always been professional and spot on. Every one of you should be proud of what you do here! I have been blessed to have met all of you. Thank you for helping me to take this first step in my life. You have rekindled the fire in my warrior heart. Now it’s my job to keep it alive. Once again, I thank you!” - CL “I believe this staff as a whole should be complimented because dealing with as many different personalities on a regular basis is not easy by any means. From what I see, these genuinely caring employees do not treat us as a whole or generalize us into an addict category but as people, fighting for our lives and teaching us how to look for triggers and relapse prevention and last but not least how to love ourselves again before we can worry about anything or anyone else. Since being here I’ve learned again thanks to this wonderful staff. I am worth it! Thanks from the bottom of my heart.” -JH BOARD OF DIRECTORS Marshall T. Bower, Esq.
