The History “...able to achieve several appreciations, accreditations and awarding by the clients and Consultants for their quality and timely performances…” TRIO has been emerged from the term “tri” inspired by three friends and founded in year 1997 leading by Mr. P. G. Punchihewa in down south town; Matara. Its initial journey began with minor contracts in the government sector; NWS&DB, Department of buildings, etc. as ICTAD C-08 scale constructor and all the dedications and commitments of all the team members uplifted TRIO up to C- 01 grading in year 2013. Within that hard journey, TRIO has been able to achieve several Excellence, appreciations, accreditations awarding by the National and International organizations, clients and consultants for their quality and timely performances in Civil Constructions which is supported by its own two subsidiaries; Trio Color Master & Trio Hardware. TRIO has been accredited by ISO 9001-2008; currently audited by Moody International and obtained memberships of ICTAD/ NCASL / CCI / MDCCI / NCASL (M&S)/TUV-Australia being a leading constructor in Sri Lanka. Organization is currently handling Civil Construction Projects valued around 1 billion all over the island; especially expanding towards northern & central; Kilinochchi and Kandy. The major strength of the organization is the Professional Management Staff and the dedicated team members supported by the new technology, machineries and equipment, etc. Trio started their financial assistance with the Seylan Bank PLC and later we extend our financial capability with Pan Asia Bank DFCC Bank together with Union Bank Colombo Plc and so far they have provided the fullest financial assistance and corporation throughout the peaks and down runs. Trio is currently targeting jobs in overseas and design & build projects within the country and further the property development sector through implementing the township concept. Chairman's Message \"I feel now, TRIO like a shady tree for thousands to be got shaded under.....\" We have come a long journey with lots of hardships throughout our career in nearing two decades time and it has become one of the successful stories today, in the construction industry of Sri Lanka as we emerged from a Down south town; Matara. What we have gained today is totally based on the scarification, dedication, team work commitments and smartness born by our team members throughout and the organization will always be in debt to everyone who has being together with us even for a single day. I feel now, TRIO like a shady tree for thousands to be get shaded under and humbly serve the nation. My intentions are to enhance the business towards international levels and diversify through property development in the near future. Further, I will always be glad to share my experience over 30 years in the field of construction with the new generation including my second son; Pasan who is currently driving the organization and it’s my only hope to see this TRIO tree grows much bigger, giving more shade to the nation where I could humbly feel the real happiness for being to this world in this “life time”. Milestones  Trio Constructions was formed in 1997 by Mr.P G Punchihewa as a partnership with the support of Mr.K.A.K Wikumsiri, Mr.S.B.W Senevirathna & Mrs.K.H Charlet.  Initially Trio was registered with Institute for Constructions Training and Development with the M 7 grading in 1997.  In the year 1999 ICTAD grading was enhanced to M 6.  Trio Constructions Pvt ltd was incorporated in 2000.  Thereafter Trio was accredited ICTAD grading C 6 to C 1 as follows : In the Year 2002 – C 4 In the Year 2007 – C 3 In the Year 2001 – C 2 In the Year 2013 – C 1  Trio Constructions Pvt Ltd is a member of National Constructions Association of Sri Lanka from the formation of Trio in 1997.  Trio Constructions Pvt Ltd is a member of Matara District Chamber of Constructions Industry from 2003.  Trio Constructions Pvt Ltd is a member of National Constructions Association of Sri Lanka Major & Specialist from 2004.  Trio Constructions Pvt Ltd is a member of Chamber of Constructions Industry from 2006.  In the Year 2009 Trio was accredited the ISO 9001: 2008 Certification from Moody International Pvt Ltd. TRIO CONSTRUCTIONS (PVT) LTD 8
