The exhibition dedicated in Gallery IAGA to the Italian artist Marcello De Angelis is characterized by a attentive visual path that intends to reconstruct evolutions and developments of his peculiar artistic investigation, where the technique, meaning the ability and awareness of the use of materials and methods of operation, has a fundamental value and expresses a precise aesthetic. A cultured artist, a passionate observer of artistic languages from the II World War to the present day, attentive in the choices and capable, in the operation of painting, of a long wait required so that the work is finished, De Angelis found a new mode of expression, to which he gives a new name, and with whom he knows to write a new pictorial alphabet. This is called “injection painting”, and it is to apply through the needle of a medical syringe subtle and detailed portions of acrylic on canvas, up to compose geometric shapes, swirls and lozenges, colored and iridescent harmonies.
