Consultancy ServicesSPEC Ltd work closely with their clients and offer Consultancy services to ensure thatthe client is gaining maximum potential from their site.Whether you are looking to optimise your existing sites energy efficiency, reduce yourcarbon footprint or maximise the potential of your available land onsite; SPEC Ltd cantailor a solution to suit.Upfront ConsultancySPEC Ltd offer a free of charge and no obligation consultancy service for the following key areas:Land Feasibility – For Generation & energy storage sites; we review your available land and suitability.PoC Applications – working on your behalf we will liaise with the DNO inregards to gaining a point of connectionoffer to connect your site.DNO Liasion – If your site is already connected the local electrical distribution network, we will liaise with the DNOon your behalf in regards to amending your existing connection agreement.Energy Solutions – we will carefully review your requirements and suggest technology types tailored to your siteFinancing – Whether you are just looking for a “land deal” to lease your land for a set period of time with nofinancial outlay or looking to finance/partially finance the new assets we can provide a clear and concise proposal forthe solution offered.Aggregation Services – Whether it’s a new Build Grid Connected site or a review of existing energy bills andelectrical plant onsite; SPEC Ltd working with one of our Aggregation Partners can review the specific requirements ofthe project and highlight the revenue/savings that are available.

Just because the DNO own the network in the area you require your connection it doesn’t mean you have to accept the full quotation from them. Competitiongives you a choice and ensures the best possible service for you as the customer.Your quotation from the DNO will be split into two sections; Contestable & Non-Contestableworks.Non-Contestable works can only be carried out by the relevant DNO (this is ordinarily works the DNO need to carry out tofacilitate your connection onto their network).Contestable works can be carried out by either the DNO or by an accredited contractor; Companies that provide theseservices are known as an Independent Connection Providers (ICP). These require accreditation via the National ElectricalRegistration Scheme (NERS)/Lloyds Register; SPEC Ltd are a NERs accredited contractor upto 132kVAs an ICP, SPEC Ltd can carry out the following services under the contestable works:● Application for Point of Connection offers ● Liaison with the DNO● Design Works for your new connection ● Procure materials and plant for the connection works● Trench excavation and duct installation - on site ● Trench excavation & duct installation - highway● Construction of substation buildings & civil works ● Cable Installation● Substation plant installation and commissioning ● Excavation for jointing bay - on site● Excavation for jointing bay - public highway ● Testing & Recording of assets installed by ICP

Certified Testing & CommissioningSevices• SPEC Ltd offer a comprehensive range of testing and commissioning services.• We provide full certification for all equipment provided and installed by ourselves.• Alternatively, we can test and commission client owned equipment on site.• SPEC Ltd has experience in testing within all types of environments and locations such as off-shore, industrial, manufacturing and the food industry.• As well as our own test result documentation and witnessing, clients may also request that their own in house certification is used for quality assurance purposes.• Regular periodic tests can be incorporated as part of a tailor made maintenance programme.
