The Storm Wilma

Who is this monster?Hurricane Wilma, a category 5monstrosity, made a right handturn from the Yucatan, and made abeeline for Florida. It struck thecoasts of South Florida onMonday, October 24, 2005.

The killing MachineMost Hurricanes take the lives ofhundreds of thousands of people. Whilethat's statistically proven, hurricane wilmashowed her mercy and only took thesouls of 62. Even though only 62 liveswere taken, Wilma still caused severalinjuries, and was so destructive that it isnow ranked the 4th most costly storm inthe U.S. Costing $27.4 Billion indamages.

Misc. - Had the smallest eye ever recorded, only 2 miles in diameter. - Most intense tropical cyclone recorded. - Started as a category 1 then jumped to a three then became a category 5 monster. But, when it made it to the Yucatan, it weakened then regained energy in the gulf and ramped back up to a 5 before hitting Florida. -
