It was thought that rubber communitywould need a center for connecting different sectors in orderto bring about effective collaboration between academicsector, industrial sector and government research sectorto support development of Thai rubber industry to becomerubber hub in Asia Pacific.OBJECTIVE The objectives of Rubber Division, Polymer Society ofThailand are as follows: 1. To be a focal point for • Coordinating collaborations among rubber scientists and interested persons or groups in both the government and industrial sectors. • Disseminating information and news related to rubber activities in Thailand. • Representing the Thai rubber community in coordinating with relevant organizations domestically and internationally. -1-

2. To promote the development of rubber science, technology and engineering in Thailand to international level.ACTIVITIES 1. Organize conferences, seminars, and trainings relatedto science and technology of rubber. 2. Organize special lectures or discussion on topics of currentinterests in rubber. 3. Disseminate knowledge and news of activities ofRubber Division, Polymer Society of Thailand to membersthrough media, website and public communication. 4.
