MAY IS BUILDING SAFETY MONTH! During the month of May, the Building Department hosts a handful of events to exemplify Building Safety! Here's a snapshot of all our events for the month of May: May 3rd - Building Safety Starts at Home Premier Academy May 6th - Building Safety Starts at Home Home Depot Kid's Craft Day May 18th - Prepare Your Community Older Persons Commission (OPC) Safety Awareness Event May 20th - Prepare Your Community Lowe's Kid's Craft Day May 23rd/24th - Advocate For Your Community Hosting High School Architect Class May 31st - Solving Challenges Together Opportunity to have coffee with the inspectors to discuss issues and concerns Page 1

DEPARTMENT ACTIVITY The department celebrated Cinco de Raised to Date: Mayo with a taco/nacho bar! $972.61 Our seasonal worker, Diane, officially retired at the end of this month. She helped complete some big organizational projects for our department!
