commemoration day Commemoration Day is held every year on 30 November to recognize the dedication and sacrifices of the UAE's military and civilian service, and to honor those who have lost their lives while serving the country. On this day the school hoisted the UAE Flag to mark and remember the values of sacrifice, dedication and loyalty.

National Flag Day On the 3rd of November, UAE Flag day was celebrated on Campus and Online as the students wore different dresses matching the colours in the UAE Flag; Red, White, Black, Green. On this special day, the school hoisted the UAE Flag with patriotism and all the Bhavanites did various projects.

Diwali CelebrationS Diwali was celebrated on 4th November 2021. To start the day, a morning assembly was conducted onstage by the students of KG to 11th grade. There were lovely Dance performances by the KG students as well as by the students of Grades 5,6 & 7, a delightful Diwali song was written by Ms. Letha, and a song sung by a talented KG student. The teachers also put up a wonderful show with their incredible dance and music skills. After the assembly teachers and students had set up stalls of various types of food, games, Diya, mehndi and face painting. All the other students and teachers had a great time shopping as per the given time.

Credit Policy Our school with the objective of creating global citizens and equipping the students with essential skills required for reaching beyond school to the wider community had introduced the Credit Policy for students of Grades 6 to 9. This helped them to build their own understanding of world events, think about their values and take learning into the real world. In Phase 1, students were given topics to choose from to research on and make a Paper Presentation. Based on the Paper Presentation, students were short-listed for Phase 2. These students presented a Synopsis Presentation for 5 minutes before a panel of Internal Judges on the 6th November 2021. The Short-listed candidates of Phase 2 would then move on to Phase 3.

Meet The Director The Department of English along with Thualhath Sir organized an interactive session for instilling experienced learning other than books and curriculum. It was conducted on the 7th of November which caused quite a buzz among the students. They got an opportunity to MEET THE DIRECTOR - Mr. Zakariya who won multiple awards and was best known for his movie 'Sudani from Nigeria'. The students (both online and offline) gathered at the school auditorium where they met the director. It was a very informative session and the students of Grade 7-11 asked their queries and the director veraciously answered them. Due of this event the students got an insight into the movie industry.

Sharjah Book fair The Bhavanites got the opportunity to attend the International Sharjah book fair from the school on the 9th of November. The students had a pretty great experience in the wonderful world of books and authors. This event helped encourage reading among the teachers and students which also activated their creative & imaginative minds.

Science Fair International Science Day is a celebrated activity day to mark the importance of experimenting on November 10, 2021. The Bhavanites were to record their simple experiments and explain the science behind it. These videos were sent to the respective science and class teachers. Together all the videos of the class were presented during the class teacher time.

Sandwich making On 23rd November 2021, the students of Grade 1 D did an activity on cooking without fire. This was to promote healthy eating habits among the students. They were also excited to meet the special guest, Ms. Meera Nandan, a well known Radio Jockey and an outstanding Actor. Students bought all the material from their homes and with the help of their teacher they made simple but sweet sandwiches & bhel. Ms Meera enjoyed making sandwiches with the small children and they did quite a noteworthy job.

Oxford SDG's Competition The Oxford SDGs hosted by The Oxford School, Trivandrum is a competition to raise awareness on the Sustainable Development Goals 10 (Reducing Inequalities) & Goal 14 (Life Below Water) Respectively. The event was a direct collaboration amongst 50+ schools from all over the world. Representing our school, came Aditya Krishna, Anashwara Binu, Eric Isaac Jackson, Kaarthik Vinod, Samarth Singh, Sivapriya Prashanth, Sreshta Nithin, & Sreelakshmi Manoj under the guidance of Mr. Jyothi Rajan and Ms. Vandana Valanju. The event spanned across 5 weeks where each team was given a task based on the topic. The final week was the presentation week where each team was given time to showcase their ideas and solutions. Our school team made a Website to raise awareness from the grass root level and up. The team also came up with a global development model, which showcased how governments could span across several underdeveloped countries, Whilst the junior group came up with a YouTube channel and several awareness activities.

Interhouse Football Competition The Interhouse Football competition was held from 23rd to 25th of November for grades 6-9 and 11. It began with the Inaugural kick-off by our dear principal, Ms. Indu Panicker. The final match was between Kestrels Vs Eagles in which Eagles victoriously won the match. Reshma & Adhinan of grade 11 led the winning team under their guidance. Energetic and effortful performances were showcased by each and every house.

Anti-Bullying Week National Bullying Prevention Week was conducted from 20 to 26 November 2021. Various sessions were conducted on verbal bullying by e-monitors and the student counselor, Ms. Arya. This year mainly focused on giving awareness on verbal bullying \"Your words leave an impact\". The students gave cognizance through different activities like 'the kindness recipe', poster making, 'helping hands', role play, etc. A special assembly on verbal bullying was conducted by the psychology students of Grade 11. Selected students and bus monitors were given badges for the 'Anti-bullying squad'.

UAE National Day The school celebrated UAE's 50th National Day on the 28th of November. The Arabic department had put their full efforts to make this day memorable with an assembly consisting of multiple festivities such as a song and various traditional dances such as an Ayala dance by the students of Grade 3. The students of Grade 7 presented their exquisite artwork on the Topic \"Cuisine Collage\". Meanwhile, the students of Grade 6 presented the history of the UAE. Another spectacular effort by the students of Grade 3 - 11 was shown by forming the number 50 to commemorate UAE completing half a century.

Exam Mode The Periodic Assessment 2 was conducted for Grade 5 to 9 & 11 from the 14th to the 22nd of November. The PTM for the PT-2 was held on the 27th of November. The Pre-Boards for Grade 10th was conducted from the 25th of October to the 3rd of November. The PTM was held on the 6th of November. The Admit Cards for Board Exams were given to the students on the 17th of November. The Term 1 Board Exams for Grade 10 commenced from 30th November to 11th December. Teachers blessed them abundantly and wished them the best of luck for their exams.

Children's Day Children's Day is celebrated each year on the birth anniversary of India's first prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, which is on November 14. Children's Day is celebrated as a tribute to Nehru. Children's day celebration was conducted on December 6th in the campus. On this extra special day, the Senior students of grade 11 conducted an assembly. To make this day even more noteworthy, the students of Grades 5,6,7 & 8 showcased their spectacular dance skills through a performance and the student had great time playing games like musical chairs, etc. The Grade 11 students conducted interactive sessions for the junior students.

'His-story' Dance A dance competition called 'AL IHTIFAL' was conducted by Delhi Private School, Sharjah for the Primary Wing (KG - Gr 2). The theme was 'His-Story' and was based on 'Knowing your Roots'. This competition aims to hone the oratory and acting skills of the young participants in a meaningful way. It will give kids the opportunity to learn more and create their own interpretation about the great personality they would like to emulate. Roopa Ashish from Grade 2C represented our school by imitating the famous Indian Queen - Jhansi Rani, in a striking dance performance and won the 3rd Prize.

Christmas celebrations Christmas is celebrated on the 25th of December worldwide. To commemorate, this auspicious day our school conducted a special assembly which started with Ms. Margina Selvaraj giving a speech. The audience was entertained by a skit done by the Kindergarten students on 'The Birth of Jesus'. Following that was the Carol competition in which all the Houses took part and sang melodiously. The Judge panel included our dear Principal and a few of our Teachers from the kindergarten Department. The competition ended with the Hawks winning. The assembly was concluded by a dance done by the primary section under the guidance of Ms. Deepa Arun.

MALL OF MERCATURA The Students Grade 11 of commerce and humanities stream, along with the assistance of Mrs. Saradha and Mrs. Saraswathy attempted to demonstrate a real-life mall and exhibit how trade and commercial activities are conducted. The goal of the Mall of Mercatura was to demonstrate to our students how essential business and commerce are in our lives by displaying the best shopping experiences such as different shops, entertainment areas, bank, product launches and promotions. As we enter the mall, we notice a display ad projecting and highlighting all of the mall's main attractions. The exhibition was a resounding success, with a positive feedback appreciating the effort that went into bringing the essence of a real mall into a classroom, demonstrating how trade and business function, and making the exhibition appealing and educational to the audience.
