Apply Surface and Coating Technologies (45 hours) Skills Course Reference Number: CRS-Q-0033842-PRE Surface and coating technologies have played a pivotal role in the precision engineering industry. Participants will learn the surface engineering technologies commonly used in industrial and domestic appliances or components, cutting and forming tools, mould and dies and generic wear components. Training will be provided for both wet and dry coating technologies, including surface cleaning, electro- and/or electroless- plating, sol-gel, physical vapour deposition (PVD) and chemical vapour deposition (CVD). The course aims to furnish participants with a better understanding of surface engineering and coating technologies coupled with essential case studies on how to process, characterise and assess various types of coating materials for applications in precision engineering. Why This Course • Highly practical and intensive • Latest knowledge and up-to-date technology • Case studies highlighting industrial application • Expert trainers in the field with industrial experience Who Should Attend This course is designed for engineers, researchers and technicians from the precision engineering, electronics, aerospace, automotive and other relevant industrial sectors. Upon Completion of this Course Electronic certificates (e-Certs) will be issued by SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) to participants who have attended and attained competency in the Singapore Skills Framework training modules.
