PRACTICALEXPERIENCE AtYouthAmericaCollege,studentshavetheaddedbenefitof gaininghands-onexperienceatChurchoftheHarvestwhile earningpracticum credittowardstheircollegedegree.These practicaltrainingexperiencesaredesignedtoprepareandequip studentsforlifeaftercollege,whetherthatbeacareerinfull-time ministryorinanyfieldofpursuitandworkforceoutsidethe church. Pastoral/YouthPracticum Studentswillgainexperienceandconceptsinthebuildingblocksof youthministry,student-focusedleadership,disciplingteenagers, buildingteams,leadershipdevelopment,pastoralcareandadult ministries. CreativePracticum Studentswillgainexperienceincreativeartsincludingworship leading,musicianship,lighting,soundengineering,photography, videoeditingandgraphicdevelopment. Operations& EventManagementPracticum Studentswilldevelopskillsinadministration,communication, leadership,non-profitmanagement,eventplanning,budgeting, socialmedia,andmarketingstrategies. KidsPracticum Studentswillgainexperienceinkidsministryincluding curriculum creationanddevelopment,familydynamics, mentoringkidsandservicecoordination. OutreachPracticum Studentswillexperiencehands-ontrainingrelatedtocommunity relations,fundraising,mentorshipandpublicschoolengagement whileservingthecommunityofthegreaterOklahomaCitymetro area.

YOUTH AMERICA SummerCamp TheculminationofeachyearforYouthAmericaCollege studentsistheprivilegeofleadingandimpactingthousands ofteenagersthroughYouthAmericaSummerCamp.Since 1987,YouthAmericaSummerCampisamulti-week operationservingalmost6,000teenagersannually.Itall takesplaceontheYouthAmericaCampusatChurchofthe HarvestinOklahomaCity.Ourcollegestudentsworkas team leadersandmemberstoensureahigh-impact, life-changingexperienceforteenagers,youthpastorsand leaders. LeadershipConference YouthAmericaCollegestudentsplayasignificantroleinthe developmentandexecutionofYouthAmericaLeadership Conference.Studentswillbeexposedtoawidevarietyof 1000+leadersandchurches.Thisspecialtyconferenceisa gatheringofnextgenerationpastors,youthpastors,youth ministryteams,worship& creativeteams,studentleaders andseniorpastorsfrom acrossthenation.Asstudentsserve, learnandinteractinthissetting,theyexperienceaunique environmentofgrowth.
