DAAL BAATI CHOORMA AIESEC JAIPUR SOORMA The loudest roll call of AIESEC India’s national plenary is just not enjoyed by the people of LC but has given a special place in the national plenary as well. The meaning of the word soorma is someone ‘brave’ who would endure anything for principles and would even give away one’s life for the ideal one is following. Daal baati choorma as we all know stands for the traditional food of Rajasthan and Jaipur being the capital, it depicts the representation of Jaipur as a city with the feeling of royalty in it. While we cheer the roll call at the highest of our pitches it represents the great history and legacy of leaders that AIESEC Jaipur has built with time since its existence. The pride in the voices, the energy in the roll call, and followed up by the motivation check are all about us, us as a family, us as the royals of the national plenary. The roll call and the motivational checks are the representation of people of AIESEC in Jaipur and the great legacy of which we are proud and it is evident in the high voices we say.

LOCAL COMMITTEE PRESIDENT‘S NOTE Hello AIESEC in Jaipur, It is with great honor and immense excitement that I write this note to you all. I cannot help but reminisce back to about 6 months ago where I couldn’t imagine writing this. One cannot express the rollercoaster of emotions that they go through while writing this note. Even though I knew this day was soon to arrive, I somehow still cannot get a handle on my emotions. The sheer excitement, the nerves, the pure ecstasy of the process is a thrill for even the biggest adrenaline junkie. Something I read has stuck in my mind for ages and I share it with you today - \"The lion's roar incessant in the night, Their sighing moans beginning with the shades, Then in the night, their roar is full of ire, Their eyeballs glowing like two balls of fire.\" And with that is how started my year of being the LCP of AIESEC in Jaipur, the lines quoted the intent I had for my year and how intensive and important it is for us as a family. Now, once I look back to the team I had, while them standing their terms as VPs or as an executive, I see skillful individuals who were nervous to take on this opportunity for the local chapter,. But when I see them today they are the same cubs grown up like lions, who are not just skilled in their department but are now confident individually and leaders of the upcoming generations. We are the Pride, Pride of AIESEC In Jaipur We are EB Pride... One for All | All for One AIESEC in Jaipur THE REALM | 4
But while I talk about leaders and the next generation we cannot forget the people with a great intent to develop themselves and make them skilled through leading teams, or being the bridge between the EB and GB, to flow down things and make people ready for their generation. They are none other than our Management Board. Through the course of these 6 months, I have seen them working as one, as individual TLs as well as for their departments. MB Valiant has been a great performer, they have had a great journey full of ups and downs as a team but I believe people or team intent to learn the maximum at the lows of their journey, and these people not just learned it very beautifully but have made stronger comebacks by applying from opportunities. As the LCP, I cannot be more proud of the team with the legacy they have set for the next generation to take the baton from here and lead in the best way possible. The last six months have just not been about the two teams I mentioned, it is about every team who planned and execute the vision their EBC had for them. Understanding this that EBC is the human who visions the ideas and CC/OC is the team to get that vision into realities and on grounds. What we strive for is to inherit leadership from one leader to another. All the people who were part of the team have experienced the true essence of the AIESEC experience, it puts you in a challenging environment, where you could challenge your capabilities and that could result in a better version of yourself. AIESEC Experience is just not about being in a challenging environment, it is an environment that ensures your growth in the organization, including your plans to join the organization. To all the people who were a part of CC/OC/FACI or any other position, you all deserve a hall of fame. As we complete 6 months here, I am more thrilled and equipped for the upcoming semester, as I say it is going to be the last 6 months of my own AIESEC journey and I want to give the best I can back to the local chapter. Next semester would focus on the next generation to come in place. From LCP to the next EB things would be decided this semester. Leadership is never about the current generation, it has always been about preparing leaders for the world out there and in AIESEC who are brave enough to take the charge of the next leadership body of AIESEC in Jaipur. Until I see you next time, keep jiving, keep believing in yourself. Daal Baati Choorma, AIESEC Jaipur Soorma! AIESEC in Jaipur - Chitransh Mathur, Local Committee President THE REALM | 5
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE It was the beginning of 2020 that drove my curiosity towards AIESEC. After appearing for Group Discussion and then Personal Interview, I realized that this is indeed what according to me was a developing and networking platform. After realisation comes the next stage, planning about the journey with different milestones. The biggest milestone in this journey was making it to the Executive Board of AIESEC in Jaipur. My curiosity towards the working of this organization became the compass that guided me towards the roles I wanted to get selected for but it was the people who acted as fuel in my journey. I remember the constant support from my TL and VP when I was applying for MB then the exact same support from my VP and members when I was applying for EB but it doesn't end here. One thing to honestly love about AIESEC is that no matter what department you are from, everyone is willing to help when you need it. My journey as an EB member wasn't an easy one but it is worth learning many lessons from. Initially, it was tough getting adjusted to leading a department but the constant support from my EB made this better. When MB was onboard, I laid my faith in them and I believe it was the decision that I took as my department head. My whole membership along with my MB has given me their best. We were there for each other when we weren't performing well in terms of operations but we also celebrated together when we had an approval or successfully delivered our event 'Aspirations'. All in all, my first term as LCVP OGV has been very fulfilling and now I'm just looking forward to ending my term satisfactorily. -Kriti Singh outgoing Global Volunteer
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE My journey as LCVP iGV started with a bang, In the beginning I thought it would be very easy for me to know all the operations and lead the department but the actual test started when I began to know about the operations and got to know more about how to lead such a big department. And I'm thankful to my predecessor who gave me transitions in such a manner that it became easy for me to grab things and operate on how to lead the most versatile department. As an LCVP, one of the best things which happened to me was my MB because all those guys knew most of the operational work and most importantly they supported me a lot. And of course, the beautiful minds which I got in my department as members. And then came my EBC term which was wonderful because the main challenge for me was to create a bond with those people in 2 weeks & along with that, working for the whole LCONG. The EBC term went well as those guys coordinated well and worked incredibly. Kudos to all of them. As of now, I'm just seeing the bigger picture on how to take the iGV department's legacy forward with the new set of minds. And with the help of my EB Pride and especially our LCP who helped each one of us from time to time whenever we were in need. which is the thing I love most about being in AIESEC. So, a short conclusion of my first term is that it went well, with lots of learning and gathering knowledge and I'm looking forward to doing the same and learn new things to lead the iGV department proactively. -Jayant Bhatia incoming Global Volunteer
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE Since I started my journey with AIESEC, my life has forever been impacted in the most amazing ways. I take the lessons I've learned and apply them daily. I am a better listener now. I am accountable for all of my actions and how I show up for the people in my life. When I applied for Executive Board it was a mere experience which I applied for after being here for 6 months I have seen a drastic change in my growth. It was an opportunity for me to unleash my creative side and test what kind of leader I am. This is the role where you develop others as well as yourself. AIESEC brought me a place apart from education with the freedom to test my ideas and express my vision to develop experience delivery. With this role you just don’t get the power but the responsibility to develop people, people management, time management, teamwork, and a lot more. I’ve watched my bottom line grow expediently in my journey, as well as my relationships change and grow. I highly recommend that you invest in yourself, in your teams, and do it now. The changes in my life that I have experienced since participating in AIESEC are simply phenomenal. I have found my voice and the confidence to express myself. I am now putting into action all those things I said that I would always do, but never seemed to accomplish before. I have stopped over-extending myself and started valuing myself. Everyone has greatness in them, sometimes we just need the right environment to tap into that and believe in really how deep we can dig. \"Great Leaders don’t set out to be a leader. They set out to make a difference. Its never about the role, always about the goal.\" -Navita Rathore outgoing Global Talent
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE Hey AIESEC! Wassup? These chants were annoying on the very first day of my AIESEC journey. I still remember the day of LTS, the welcome questions, the welcome seats when we were blindfolded and were made to sit beside the people we have never seen. What a day it was, full of joy, learning, and emotions. The day when it was raining and we still managed to reach the destination for the meeting, that enhanced the dedication for work, that completed us as a team and the teamwork we built initially, that's what AIESEC teaches you. The TL term began and it was amazing to see such people in my team, leading such a great bunch of people and just talking to them whenever I felt low, because they gave me the warmest confidence and strongest feeling of glory. Eventually, I gave the interview for the position of LCVP that people convinced me for and got selected. That damn speech after getting selected was perfect because it was completely from the heart, a drunk heart. That day when my predecessor was clicking pictures with me just to post and show people his successor, I felt proud. After being the LCVP I felt responsibility and a lot of courage. Though half of the term has ended, it feels like just yesterday when I was standing and giving my drunken LCVP speech. The PRIDE, the learnings, the emotions and the leaders, that's what we look for, we look for the best people around and we have got them. We got the people who can best lead each department. We learned to be calm in stressful situations and enjoyable in tough times. And that is what a leader does, what we learned in this term, we enjoyed every single moment and the love continues, and the love is keeping us going ahead. Just loving the journey for the loudest roar. Let's roar for the whole term and let's roar for the perfect future. -Ankit Mishra incoming Global Talent
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE I have personally learned a lot and seen some great changes in confidence through my AIESEC journey. I could only express this by stating the starting of my journey in AIESEC. I started off as a member of B2C, but there I was more confused as to what this organization does and how am I supposed to contribute to this, on parallel side of this I was working with a college club as an executive member there, I was more focused there and AIESEC was an organization, which I was still trying to understand. It was after I closely worked with the EB panthers to deliver an event in my club, that I understood the impact and reach of AIESEC. From there on I could say the graph of my journey started to rise, I attended XPDF got fascinated by the Bussiness Development department, applied for TL, got the chance to be the CCP of Youth Speak Forum. The experience as the CCP of YSF is very close to me as I got the chance to work with an amazing team, and the majority of them are now in EB, we not only delivered a great event but it was the staring of some amazing bonds for me in AIESEC. My Journey as an EB member is a reflection of my experience as a member. As an EB member, I always reflect on what areas I felt needed improvement. The major highlights of my EB experience revolve around EB Pride, this team always had my back, I have grown as a person a lot from this whole experience which includes me being a part of EB pride, delivering a great Local Conference to managing the functioning of CX. I would conclude by saying that I have been authentic and tried to lead people with the intent to grow and learn with them. -Mansi Gupta Customer eXperience
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE 14th February 2020 - Valentine's day! Yes, this was the day when I was added in the congratulations group of AIESEC because I made it to the organization. I was so happy about it, honestly not because I was a part of the organisation now but because I knew that finally I will go out on an exchange and that was the whole reason why applied. But who knew destiny had something else written in it’s books for me. Time passed, I got approved but then pandemic hit us and nothing could be done, hence AIESEC no more made sense to me and moving forward I was one of those people who were poorly hit by Covid in terms of mental health. I almost lost everything but then AIESEC gave me hope when one fine day I applied for the position of CCVP YSF. Since then I just grew as a person and in the organization. I still remember the day EB applications were out, I was so sure that I have no chance of applying because I was pretty busy with my office stuff but then a conversation with Chitransh, Navita, and Kratika changed my life. I straight away went from not applying to becoming LCVP BD, what hell of a rife it was but since then I would say life has been a Tragic Comedy, tragic in the terms of facing new challenges every day in the Department and comedy with EB members. But one thing that I realized is I would have drowned in regret had I not applied. Kudos!! To EB PRIDE, my department and all other people who are supporting and backing me up in my journey. This would not have been possible without you. In the end, what I could say is this was one of the finest decisions of my life. -Yukti Singhal Business Development
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE Hey Soormas, Greetings at large! The year 2020 was full of challenges and learnings and by the end of the year, it became more challenging since the Executive Board was announced, one big responsibility. I always knew that this is going to be a roller coaster ride, with ifs and buts, a moment with a semicolon yet a question mark. It is easy to feel overwhelmed and welcoming when there are so many things on your plate but it's hard to convince yourself that even if you can't achieve all the things, at least you worked hard with perfection. Our lives are based upon what we choose, the Executive body is as hard as climbing a mountain. There were times when I wanted to give up but the needle of this organization kept me going either North or South or East or West. The amount of confidence I've developed has become evident. We've our unique experiences and each path is different. Just because you took longer than others doesn't mean you failed, it means you're capable of doing something big and this role has inculcated an immense amount of faith for the same. Roles I've taken up here taught me to endure, to be patient enough and raft the boat towards successful implementation. It's been a long road, a road that promised to mold me into the person I'm supposed to be. Vice-president People management taught me, \"Keep burning bright until you can't burn anymore.\" -Kratika Mehta People Management
LOCAL COMMITTEE VICE PRESIDENTS' NOTE Being from non-finance background, this 6 month journey has brought multiple experiences and learnings. It has expanded my knowledge of finance with various duties on my plate. With every task such as planning for yearly targets, making the complete budget, collaborating with different departments to check for their expenses and revenues, it was full of challenges and opportunities to learn and grow. As a part of the Executive Board, you go through ups and downs, wherein sometimes you are planning for future and the next you are firefighting against everyday challenges. It is essential to work as a leader, in order to support the team in constantly doing better. Bringing motivation and empathizing with the team is key in the work that we do and it has to be strengthened in order to achieve better results. Being a leader, this is extremely crucial and I am still learning some of these qualities to support my team in becoming better everyday. It is a rigorous, yet fun journey. But what remains constant in all of this, is the support from the EB Pride. They are more of a family than friends or colleagues. My journey at AIESEC from being a team member at iGV, and taking various jobs and tasks, to being a team leader and now VP. One of the most important things is the support and friendship that you get from each of the members and your teammates. Hoping to grow more and do better in the next few months. -Kritesh Maheshwari Finance and Legals

Recruitment OC 2021.1 HUSTLE, BHASAD AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN “Coming together brought us a beginning. Keeping together was our progress. Working together brought us success.” Those 7 weeks of the journey of being an OCP cannot be described in words, a complete roller coaster ride. OC Genesis was the first official team that I got to lead. And trust me it was the best experience with and because of the best people. Each one was beautiful, talented as well as a nautanki in their own way. The work taught me new learnings for life, made me look at things from others' perspectives which was amazing. From the O2Os to those long video calls, from the scolding to the bond, from being low to being the support system for each other. Adding an achievement that will always be marked to close the target within the shortest span with no marketing event done. It gave me a worthwhile experience for which I would always be grateful. And this cannot be complete without thanking and telling about the person who got me all this, the EBC Ms. Kratika Mehta who was there since the beginning. With that being said, more is yet to come.
