The Deaf Awareness Course is produced by Signature Learning Hub and can be purchased as a individual licence or a multiple licence for organisations. Individual logins will be assigned, so you or your staff can login in online, anytime. 1

The course is split into bitesize sessions which include BSL videos, some with voice and subtitles to get you started. The videos can be watched as many times as needed, to help you retain what you have learned. 2

There are a wide variety of supporting information that you can download for free. This includes 5 categories of posters and flash cards. 4

The free downloads are visual with clear text and have been updated to include modern and diverse characters, reflecting the diversity of the deaf community. 5

Downloads also include right-handed and left-handed sign language charts to accommodate learners with their preferred or dominant hand. 6

Posters to download also provide you with practical tips, to help you study independently alongside the course 7

This course give you real-life examples, from real Deaf people talking about their deafness and communication methods. Videos of deaf sign language users and deaf people who use speech and lipreading, gives a useful insight into the diversity among deaf people and how they communicate. 8

There is an extensive glossary of over 1,500 BSL videos covering a range of general topics including; Greetings, Numbers, Activities and much more. 9

The course tests your knowledge using a range of simple quizzes, which can be repeated to increase your score. Once all the quizzes have been successfully completed, you can download your certificate of completion as evidence of your learning. 10
