Editioned Print EDITIONED PRINT & POSTER Facility Artwork by Nick Cave and Bob Faust Poster EXPO CHICAGO revives a celebrated tradition of producing an artist-designed, limited-edition print and poster to herald the eighth edition. Bringing to life an iconic image by Nick Cave, the 2019 poster initiative furthers the legacy of Chicago hosting an international art exposition, which began with the Chicago Interna- tional Art Exposition at Navy Pier in 1980. The images for this year’s poster and print are designed by Facility, a Chicago-based creative studio and nonprofit initiative founded by Nick Cave and Bob Faust, and are produced by Landfall Press—the original publisher of the art fair posters from the 1980s and 90s. Drawing upon motifs found in Cave’s early portfolio, these collectible works serve as a memento of the annual exposition and the diverse culture of Chicago. A portion of all proceeds will go to Facility Foundation, which provides scholarships and opportunities for emerging artists, and EXPO CHICAGO’s Curatorial Initiatives, which seek to promote the development of curators and foster international dialogue between artists and institutions in Chicago and the greater Midwest.
