New Year is the moment of joy and jubilation. It is also the time for new hopes, new wishes, and new resolutions. As part of this splendid day, Bhavans Al Saad Indian School ventured into an innovative new year activity for children which was conducted on 3 January 2021. Students from Grades 1 to 8 vibrantly participated in this activity. The New Year activity had two dimensions: Students in Grades 1 to 4 had to share a recording of one minute of their wishes for the new year 2021 and the students in Grades 5 to 8 had to share a recording of one minute of their resolutions for the new year, what have they learnt in 2020 and how do they plan to use it in 2021? Students enjoyed participating in this activity and shared their wishes and resolutions for the new year which made the activity more colourful and meaningful. The highlights of their wishes were COVID-19-free 2021, returning to school, meeting their friends, enjoying with their friends, peace, and prosperity. The resolutions of the students were also not less than their wishes. Although the previous pandemic year was filled with many uncertainties, it paved way for the students to become optimistic, independent, and tech-savvy learners. With the obliged and resolute heart, students shared their most valuable and inspiring resolutions. Being students, one of the ultimate resolutions would be achieving high grades in the exams. But surprisingly our students produced some peculiar resolutions such as forgiving others, feeding birds, following healthy lifestyle, reading many books, being productive and participating in all the competitions. Bhavans Al Saad Indian School feels proud of such students and wish them all the best to accomplish their resolutions. Issue 7 Volume 7
