And…we’re back!New bags, new box of colours, new term and awhole new bunch of activities to do after thereally looooooooog summer break!On 28th August, the “Back to School Assembly”programme put up by our Principal Ma’amand teachers which was, at the least an excellentdisplay of girth and talent among the teachers.The theme was Olympics and the need to do theright thing even if it means helping a fallen fel-low runner during a race. There was a songsung by KG teachers which was really enjoyedby the kindergarten kids.

So who helps to take out printouts of work-sheets from LMS? Well…you guessed itright!It was our Parent’s Day Out! We had 3 sim-ultaneous groups of parents converged to-gether to brainstorm about the academic andco-curricular features of Al Saad IndianSchool. It was quite a fruitful occasion whereteachers enumerated the different aspects oftheir child’s school life and how they asparents could make it easy for the studentswho are aptly labelled our nation’s future!



Hindi Week of Al Saad Indian SchoolHindi Divas is an annual day celebrated on14 September in Hindi speaking regions of India.Hindi is spoken as a native language by 500million people and is recognized as the 2ndmost-spoken language in the world. Its importanceis demonstrated by feasts, events, competitions andother services held on this day. The event also servesas a patriotic reminder to Hindi-speakingpopulations of their common roots and unity.Al Saad Indian School Al Ain, also celebratedHindi Week from 19th – 21st September with variousevents such as recitation, speech, songs anddeclamation during special assemblies conductedeach day of the week. The entire assembly was inHindi and slogans rung loud about the popularityand the importance of this language. The studentsalso pinned special badges to the Head of theInstitution and gave out colourful ribbons at theend of the special event.



Teacher’s Day @ Al Saad Indian SchoolThe ultra-special Teacher’s day program organised by theStudent Council members had truly been etched in ourmemory for quite a while. The students kept giving ussweet surprises like cute cards and cakes. They had alsoarranged fun games for all teachers to participate and letdown their hair for an hour of recreation and relaxationamidst a hectic school week.Student’s Governance Day was taken quite seriously byour Student’s Council who strived hard to take charge ofclasses for thefirst half of theer’s Day on Teach-September. 5th of The

Onam CelebrationAll of us @ Al Saad Indian School had a glimpse of“God’s Own Country” when we celebrated Onam as a House–Wise Competition on 22nd September with colour filledPookolams and Pullikallis! The desert sand dunes of AlAin had magically transformed into blue backwaters ofKerala with Boat race songs which were sung with hugegusto by the boys in tradional attire. The pretty girlsof Al Saad also performed the tradional elegant danceform of “Thiruvadharakalli”. All students as well asteachers came dressed up in ethnic wear and the schooldefinitely had a festive air about it for the entireday! It was surely beyond competitive spirit that rodehigh on our hearts andminds...
