The U19 Boys’ Basketball team Basketball had another successful season this year, led by seniors Alan Tran, Tony Vo, Sean Nguyen, and Kenny Nguyen. Supporting the seniors was a talented group of sophomores and freshmen that gave the team extra depth. The team focused on developing skills at each position and con- sistently improved as the season progressed. They compiled a 4-1 before the end of season tourna- ment. By the end of the season, senior Alan Tran had established himself as the best basketball player in the history of AISVN. 109

Although this was a short Football season, the U15 boys were able to show their amaz- ing skills and teamwork. The boys trained hard and demonstrated what amaz- ing young athletes they tru- ly are. It was a true honor and pleasure for coach John and Sam to work with these young men to secure 2nd place in the D7 U15 SISAC Tournament. 113

Swimming The Secondary Swim Team led by Mrs. W is the longest running sport in AISVN covering Seasons 1, 2 and 3. During this time, students from sixth through 12th grade worked on technique, strength, and endurance in the four strokes. Our swimmers participated in various swim meets where we had multiple personal winners as well as an overall 3rd place in the SISAC Championship B Pool. It was an awesome year with a lot of hard work, discipline, and fun! Great job team, see you in the pool next year! Thanks, Mrs. W 114
